I love the contrast between this thanos and endgame thanos. Endgame thanos was vicious.
@@striker887 he was about to complete his mission in endgame he knoes he achived so he was more confident
Thanos' ill will was universal rather than against a single people. Thanks to his delusions of godhood, he had no respect for any civilization. Only when the Avengers fought back hard did he make it personal. His true sadistic self came out.
That anger in Endgame is why he lost
Mimikyu he lost not because he was angry but because he was arrogant.

The most amazing thing is that, Tony continues fighting even after his armor is damaged and only half of the suit remains. He's determined to keep fighting, because if he fails, what he did in 2012 and later on with his comrades, is all for nothing. Tony isn't very selfish at all like many people comment on him being.
I think you’re overanalysing. When a massive Alien with infinite power is heading towards you with intent to kill, you are running on pure adrenaline and desperation lol

im sorry but what made you think that people said that tony is selfish? he sacrificed his life for trillions bro
Four years later and I still cannot get over how fucking amazing Thanos is as a villain. Considering his more one dimensional reasons in the comics it was very risky and very rewarding to see Thanos as a self proclaimed Messiah.
Holding Tony’s head gently, Showing his respect, reassuring him and complimenting him, then using the full power of the gauntlet to quickly and painlessly kill him. Thanos was just a perfect villain. I really hope he will go on to be a villain like Darth vader who wont be forgotten in the onscurity that is marvel movies. He really is too good to just be another villain
Also look at his face as he aims the gauntlet at Tony there. Not rage, not glee, not satisfaction. Grim duty.
@@Aedrion- I disliked that somewhat about Endgame. Thanos self-admittedly developed a personal vendetta against the main trio, which felt rather out of character.
@@_.violyse._ That was 2014 Thanos who was completely different.
@@_.violyse._ It's consistent with his complete inability to admit he's wrong. That's why he set out on this crusade in the first place: to prove a point. The Time Heist exposed a flaw in his philosophy and he couldn't accept that.
Tony being a human who used his intellect to build a suit capable of going against thanos with a NEARLY full gauntlet is just insane. He really is Earth’s best defender, as cap said.
Yea we just don’t talk about whatever trash he wore to fight cap and Bucky. That fight was the missed rigged thing in the entire mcu.
Tony might’ve made some big mistakes but he always had the safety of the world in mind
@@carterm873 then why tf did he wear it to fight the most powerful avengers on civil war??
@@superrooster18 because the suit Is his most powerful suit. Like the other guy said, it sacrifices defence. Which means A LOT in the closed up cramped area in the fight with cap and bucky. While in the airport the space he has basically makes up for his lack of defence. In why he used the suit in the final scene well maybe because thats all he had in the helicopter where changed.
@@superrooster18 fightin 2 super soldiers in a tightly closed space with a suit designer for more evasive attacks with lowered defence is NOT a good idea. Plus he only managed to hold on against thanos because the nanomachines are very powerful and instantly recovers any parts that has been damaged
What I really love about this scene is that when Thanos says that he hopes half of humanity will remember Tony is that it's not out of hate or anything. It's genuine respect from Thanos towards Tony for the fight he put up. Same goes for the "When I'm done half of humanity will still be alive" line. It's not a way to go and taunt Tony but to reassure him that not everyone will die. That's what makes Thanos such an amazing villain in this movie. He's not doing anything out of hate but because he genuinely believes he's doing good by the universe.
Hitler wanted to eliminate only the non-pure races, not wipe out all humans. Does that make him an amazing villain or just insane?

Or using Starlord's plan instead of a plan that didn't force a fourth movie to come out. Proud of me?? Very funny. I just use my brain. That ONE way mentioned in the movie was put there by people who wanted to make a fourth Avengers movie. Infinity war's fights are some of the most entertaining, but not among the most intelligent. Captain America: The Winter Soldier IMO still has the most intelligent, by that I mean logical, fights in the MCU

I love how thanos actually fully intends to kill Tony. Some way somehow he just knows Tony is his biggest threat and if strange wasn’t going to give up the stone he would’ve just wasted Tony right then and there. Smart of thanos to think ahead, even if he isn’t to actually go for the kill on every avenger its the right move strategically when Tony is one of the only people who can actually oppose Thanos.
I also love how Tony says “don’t” to strange, he was already willing to make the sacrifice play right here but strange knew it wasn’t the right time.

I love how, the second after he stabs him through the torso, thanos' whole demeanor toward tony changes, their fight is over, tony's been dealt a death blow, and thanos just walks him backwards to a place to sit down, and gives him a few words of respect and comfort before he's gonna put him out of his pain (its just cheapened slightly by the fact that being impaled is easy to come back from cause its a Disney/marvel movie)
It would depend on where and he didn't yank the blade out. It was in his side and leaving the blade in means Tony wouldn't bleed out and die.
Along with that Thanos knows the stab wound wouldn't be enough to kill Tony, its why he was about to hit him with 4 Infinity Stones.

I actually finally got the "cursed with knowledge" line from Thanos. Thanos isn't talking about Tony being a genius, he's talking about Tony's vision of *him* in Age of Ultron- Tony was "Cursed" with the knowledge that something *awful* was coming for Earth, and trying to prepare for it. Cursed to see the oncoming disaster and be unable to rally enough behind him to prevent it. Just like Thanos sees himself- he wasn't able to convince his people to do terrible things to survive their own self-induced ecological collapse, just like Tony wasn't able to get the Avengers to remain United *knowing* that something worse was on its way.
It leans even more into "curse" territory when you realise that had Tony not created Ultron as his "suit of armour around the world" the Avengers might've not fallen apart and been able to face Thanos better.

I really like how Thanos has his own complex personality that's not evil at all, it's just its own perspective and set of moral ideologies. He has respect, wisdom, love, all of it, and he cares for the universe in the way he thinks is best. He's only evil in our eyes because we don't share the same viewpoint and we consider his to be murderous. He sees generosity and hope were we see annihilation. There's isn't a right or wrong, it's just difference in outlook. We aren't evil just as he isn't. He doesn't consider death murder, he considers it prosperity for those who live, giving them a life worth living. We consider all life precious even if the collective don't live as well as the few might, and that's just how it is. He isn't an evil dick in this, he's philosophical and maybe a bit misguided and focused on the wrong thing, but his intentions aren't cruel. In Endgame he looses all of his depth despite having the same amount of lines (as few as they are) and he just becomes a cruel dick who we hate. I don't like that at all. Sure it was to make him really seem like the enemy and give us great conviction to root for our heroes, but it really took away from the story in my opinion. Everyone loves Endgame causes its a grand climax and everyone fights together, Tony makes rhe sacrifices, Cap lives and loves, and it's all wrapped up with a giant bow, but the story in Infinity War is one of the best I've ever seen and it will always be the superior film by far in my humble opinion. But again, just as I'm not evil for liking this over Endgame, someone who prefers Endgame isn't evil. We just differ in opinion. We see the same things and interpret them differently. Such is life. That's the beauty of this film and a true representation of the human condition and morality as a whole. I love that notion and again that's why Thanos is the perfect villain in this. He's like what Ultron thought he was, and in Endgame he was actually like Ultron. Ultron began the difference kf humanities idea and Thanos perfected it. Great film :)
He could have just doubled the resources of the universe lolz

0:25 ngl this moves looks so powerful..tony should used this move more often
❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m proud to say that Iron Man was and still is my favourite marvel character even before endgame happened, honestly it was the saddest thing for me. I love you 3000 tony. Thanks so much Robert Downey Jr
Having Thanos' respect after taking a drop of blood out of him, makes Iron Man the peak of MCU. No matter how much powerful well wisher supes you bring, some are not replaceable, even after passing out the legacy.
I rarely say this, but...
Love YOU 3000❤️
Thanos knowing Tony took us all by surprise. We thought Thanos was aware of the Earth situation but not really taking any interest other than Loki's failure, but Thanos apparently studied the events very diligently. What a badass villain
Learn from failure. When your subordinates (which Loki counted as at the time) fail you you should find out what made them fail. And if nothing else, the fact that Tony went toe to toe with Loki, his subordinate, as well as Loki's brother Thor, is worthy of note.
Then there's the little detail of Tony singlehandedly nuking the alien army by redirecting a nuke through the portal
@@iggytheincubus lol yeah, that nuke was noteworthy af. I wonder if Thanos knew it wasn't his bomb 🤔
@@sammakesstuff4176 I think Thanos would only consider that relevant in the sense that, if it was his nuke, then Tony just HAS that kind of firepower just sitting around at hand. If it wasn't his nuke, then he was able to quickly adapt to the incoming variable and turn it to his advantage. Either point would further reason why Stark was of note to Thanos
Thanos also had the soul stoneat this point, so it allowed him to study more on Tony
@@2010josem yeah no
* Dr.strange give thanos the time stone
Tony : " Why would you do that? "
Dr.strange : " because you are the one can stop thanos "
"If i tell you what happens, it won't happen". If i hadn't been certain of what Tony's fate would be until that point, that REALLY drove it home
Cringe
@@T--kq3pj yes
Tony was really a true Avenger.Period 🔥🔥🔥
The sound of the 4 stones charging up has to be one of the coolest sound effects EVER
3:45 Rollllll credits!
1:24 Thanos looked shocked/sad when he stabbed Tony.
Thanos didn't want to kill any of them violently. He just wanted the stone. That could be why he aims the gauntlet at Tony after mortally wounding him. He can't snap him out of existence yet but he can find a way to kill him mercifully.
“What? Why do you have a blade up your chest? How did I get here?”
Theres a word to describe the feeling of watching the stone travel, in that moment of travel from stranges hand to thanos, that empty moment has a word i just can't describe ...
Avengers vs Thanos is so funny 🤣😅
1:10 crazy to see how far the suit has advanced, mark 1 and would’ve never survived
3:10 Thanos was a man of his word though. He didn't kill all of them after getting the stone.
0:31 *Me when someone asks for little portion of my food even though I already gave him.*
One thing I never noticed before is if you look at Doctor Strange's hands they bothered to put the surgery scars on them. I appreciate small details like this.
The best part of this scene is the fact that Drax was right there the whole time, you just couldn’t see him because he was standing so still.
He wasn't as still as Starlord who actually WAS there but utterly useless
@@jonmacie7581 Drax was actually there too.
@@solidsnake9898 Right. But hadn't he already been shredded up by the Gauntlet? I forget the battle sequence
@@jonmacie7581 Who knows? It's possible but he's standing so incredibly still that nobody can see him.
@@solidsnake9898 😂😂
0:45 it wouldve Been more than a drop of blood if Tony uses a nanotech blade instead of a giant hammer.
1 thing that really would've done it is if Tony had put his arm up to thanos's neck/head and formed another sword as fast as he could. just let it slice right through with a sliding blade.
@@ZUnknownFox yeah, but then again, they wanted to make a sequel so Thanos had to live.
Then again, he might have been trying to break his head open.
Nah because it wouldn’t have been rocket powered.
We constantly see that Blades don’t work on Thanos. The ENGERY MALLOT he used is like a lightsaber, it burns through skin
Moments like this is peak MCU. Phenomenal acting, great writing that respect the source material and the music all combine to form a masterpiece. After phase three ended, all these good qualities just vanished, almost like Thanos snapped them away. And what’s left is not even a zombie. Goodbye MCU. It was fun while it lasted.
COME ON MAN THANOS BEING A BEAST IS GENUINE AND NEVER LIES THATS MAKE HIM GREATEST OF ALL TIME❣️
Lets just admire that Tony fucking Stark made THANOS bleed when no one else couldnt. And he’s PHYSICALLY just a regular human being. The tech he’s built is absolutely outstanding. (Yes ik Peter Quill is just a regular human too, without his MCU powers, but its Tony Stark. Come on now)
Thor?
