- Quite a few of you guys like this knife from the last SHTF unboxing so I thought it was worth an in depth look. Here is a link to where you can find it on Amazon: goo.gl/M1TjAa

I just got a helle knife its really cool Doc have u ever thought about doing a review
Great review and use video as always and if I'm being honest a year ago I would have bought something like that not really knowing anything about knives I still think it looks pretty cool
You ever do give away for this? Not looking for hand out just been wanting to check out few of the M48 blades but don't want to pay up for mall ninja blades love the look and all just rather function over form lol
thanks for the video. I was thinking about getting this, but after watching your video I think there's better choices to spend my money.
Thanks you so much! :D
Can you please review the cold steel marauder Bowie. That would make a great crocadile dundee moment.
thx for the shout out. sorry about the name I've had it forever and I don't know what to change it to
Can you recommend or make a video about the different types of steel knives are made of?
Jonathan that would be a BIG video - there are a lot of different steels. Maybe I can work on one that centers around a handful of the most common.
That would be great
I’m curious, have you ever reviewed a Ka-Bar and if not, will there be a video talking about what many consider a marines best friend?
+Ronald Hohnsbeen I haven't, and here is the simple reason: I served in the Army and the Air Force. I feel like a Marine would do that review better justice than I could. I'm not opposed to doing the video but first I would have to get a Ka-bar.
DocP91B they go for around $60-$70 on Amazon
The 21 thank you so much
They shouldn't have called it cast stainless. I think most blade fans would appreciate drop forged instead.
I love the mall ninja look of these things ... If I ever had to use it let the guy think it's just a toy and not a deadly weapon until it's buried in him somewhere. Just like Sun Tzu teaches, when you are strong make your enemy think you are weak. When you are weak, make him think you are strong.
Thats badass looking i want it so bad
If I were to carrt a knife into combat I'd take my Steel Will Darkangel 900 every time. M48 stuff is cool but it's better for just messing around/training than serious use in my eyes
Hey docP is raven craft a good knife box its 9.99 a month and 5 dollars shipping no tax but im a bit weary cus its such a cheep cost
Raven crest tactical*
Lit video it's me again DocP92B it's a very useful video all of your videos are helpful
I have M48 cyclone...
M48 are the best product
Oh that thing is badass
Like you said, it wasn't meant for survival. Its a fighter knife like the name suggests. The curve to the blade is so it can slice someone pretty deep and the tanto tip is to spear or stab someone easily. Thus, making it a killing machine.
I know 8cr13mov is softer & holds less edge than 420hc. So 2cr is going to be way way softer than probably even 420j. That blade is thick but w/ just .2 carbon content heat treat wont do much good.
I like the knife
Hey man I don't know if you remember me but you should do some titanium knives ... And I would love to see what you think of them and I hope you can teach me more
Bro u for got my shout out lol... It's cool man. Your still the best
I've got you on the list. I only do a few per video. You're coming up!
Thx man
For less money you can buy a schrade frontier in 1095 steel that's just about the same size and actually works. When that thing breaks, which it of course will, I'll bet you'll see HUGE grains almost like sand in its cross section. Casting is just completely worthless to make a usable steel tool.
The fact its a UC makes it a no go for me
Cool channel!
+TheNamelessGlitch Thanks!
Another case of "style over substance". Seems more likr a hacking knife than a precision slicing/cutting knife. I didn't have much hope for that knife when you took it out during the unboxing.
The easily impressed/amused and internet tough guys will give you shit for not adoring this knife but I think your review is spot on.
I look like a knife that you would see for $20 at the flea market.
*It
If a knife's 2 best qualities are that could scare someone and it doesn't fall apart, it' a bad knife.
My Birthday is October 28
DocP91B I love your channel
+Ty Wheeler Thanks, I really appreciate it!
wont ask for a birthday shout out XP i dont realy care for my birthday. (so not looking forward to having a catheter.
have you thought of looking at some of the things they have on kult of athena? (its not all swords, they have some knives and tactical stuff, its just not there focus)
also im waiting for the tree killer comments.... those are always fun to see (not really)
420 joint
I hope you do these tests where no one can see you 😂
It's my birthday on the 25th, I was wondering if I can get a shout out next video.
I'm happy to put you on the shout out list. Can't promise a video on the 25th, but as close as I can get it.
DocP91B that's fine
When I hear that a knife was cast...for me that raises a red flag because a cast blade is typically not as strong as a forged blade or blade cut out of a good sheet of steel and heat treated. And with casting you have no idea what is going on inside the mold as the metal cools.
Also I am betting that is why the knife is so thick. It kinda looks a bit ridiculous how thick it is with how long it is.
And on a side note you mentioned how someone wouldn't want to fight someone if they pulled that out...I think I might die of laughter if someone pulled that on me.. Because well...they can really only chop or slice at me with that blade, sure they might be able to do a bit of stabbing, but that clearly isn't the blade's strength. So while I might have a three inch blade, I have more options and I can control my knife better, because a big blade takes more effort to stop and change direction. Which in the long term depending on how long the fight lasts they will get tired before I do. Because when it comes to blades, the bigger and thicker a blade is does not make the knife, sword, axe, or whatever better, it makes them worse.
I forgot to say one thing, though I have covered it... That does not look like a good fighting knife. It looks heavy, its blade is super thick, and its blade is not even, there is a lot of spots that stick up too far off the main part of the blade. And those points would also affect its performance in general purpose/survival use.
I totally agree with you. When I said that it might scare someone I was referring to your typical street punk type that thinks a box cutter is made for fighting, or someone untrained who's never actually fought before. I think this thing is entirely unwieldy for anything but bush craft chopping and survival tasks. There's no fine control over it.
i like the style of the blade but it doesn't look very useful or very well put together
Balisong knife sharpener?!?!?
Could I get a shout in October it will be my birthday then
Sure! When in October?
If you like this knife, then you own a high point 9mm
You just gave me an idea...seeing if this knife can chop through a High Point...
When I started in guns and knives I was a Hi point owner. Like with this knife you have to start somewhere.
Awesome job, another no nonsense review. Give me a shout out please?
You got it!
DocP91B cheers from QUEENS LAND Australia!!
I was deployed once with some amazing blokes from the RAAF. One day the Squadron leader read to us a selection of the 8,000 deadly animals and insects in Australia that can kill you. You have my respect simply for staying alive down there! Cheers!
DocP91B yeah it can get sketchy since we can't carry fire arms. 😂😂😂
DocP91B it's the 2 legged variety that are the most dangerous. Trust Nobody.
