I recently heard that tinned or canned Tuna can give you mercury poisoning. I eat tuna pretty regularly, so the idea that part of my diet could actually be poisoning me had me a bit concerned. But is it true?
Turns out, a lot of fish species can actually give us mercury poisoning. And it's all because of something called biomagnification.

      Hi Aspect,
A researcher has shown that neurological damage by Mercury is one of the causes of Alzheimer.
He did tests with mercury on rats. It showed the rats brain deteriorated the same as in a person with Alzheimers disease.
Since Alzheimer disease is in our country(NL) rising to number 1 problem, maybe you want to learn more about it. This researcher also developed a chelator making detoxing safer.
It's very well explained in this video: "Evidence of Harm 2020" docu.

Hey Tom, thanks for the extremely informative video. And I was really proud to see a product from my country on your channel. I have a slight question though. What does generation of consuming tuna do to a community I mean as a maldivian it's probably the most basic staple in my country and we eat a lot more than that recommended amount per week. And I think that's true for my ancestors as well. So my question is does this lead to health problems in the long term or does adaptation happen over time. We've been living here historically for around 2500 years which I know in evolutionary terms is a heart beat but there have been instances of more drastic adaptations. And so I've just always wondered but I've never found a satisfactory answer.

i eat canned tuna almost every week making my favourite dish (cooking tuna +herbs+ tomato and coriander +onions and garlic first then add water
then i ll add prepared white rice and mix everything then ill add pre prepared fried eggplants on to top of the rice ,close the top bowl with foil for 30 mins under slow cook
,and iwill have the best dish tuna with rice in the world regardless of having risk of murcury poisining (you can replace tuna with fresh shrimp no skin and get the same awesome results
or any prepared fried fish type placed on top of the rice with lemon slices on top and let it cook for same 30 mins with same delicious results

The high pitch and repeating kick snare in the music is very distracting. If you must use music, it should be low pitch and ambient and very soft. Remember that music that is nice to listen to is not appropriate for background music. Or, you could simply go with no music at all (when talking).

Hey Tom! Awesome video 🙏🏻 this is actually a pretty cool way to say we should consume less Tuna haha. Because we’re not only looking at biomagnification, but more overly over fishing the foodweb from the top down. Prey of tuna will boom, which will have a negative feedback on the prey of the pray. So yeah, entire foodweb malfunctions and stuff 😅 but this is actually a clever way other hoomans can understand the side effects of our overuse on the planet.
