You cannot compare Britney to Marilyn Monroe. Marilyn exuded such confidence and sensual energy that Britney (or any other female actress) cannot come close to.
Her personality is like Princess Diana. Both sweet and charismatic. Probably both earth angels! 😍

Frank is a real person, so he is able to engage in a genuine way. He actually liked her and was genuinely interested in what she had to say, rather than just trying to get a big story.
The way she stares at you when her head is down but eyes looking up reminds me of Princess Diana's eyes. Same.

Don’t know how I ended up here but glad I did as it is such a lovely interview. I’ve always been a big fan of Frank Skinner and Britney seems so sweet and genuine. I know she’s had her problems but a persons character can have many layers particularly when they are subjected to some of the nastiness she was.

Brittany is so poised and sweet. She’s a remarkable person and an incredibly talented performing artist. we are in different generations so I never followed her musical career, but she really stands out as someone very special and lovely.
Ahh, she’s awesome. Many have tried to follow in her footsteps since, but there was and is only one Britney Spears. She had a rough time later but thankfully she came through and I hope now we’ll see more of her in future, doing what she does best 👍👍👍

I enjoyed this interview. It surprises me how Frank Skinner could do such entertaining interviews. Britney is a nice, decent, honest person and it is a shame people took advantage of her and she suffered so much trauma. It is good to see she has turned her life around now and is enjoying her success. I hope she is not too scarred by the terrible treatment she received.
Thank you for commending Britney for her unadulterated view on life. I believe, at heart, she really intended to be a certain way BUT then life happened. Most people feel this way. She really should be encouraged to address this part of being human -- we can really ALL relate.

This was such a weird fit at the time, and it's still weird to think this interview exists now- Britney Spears, legitimately the biggest pop star in the world at the time, and Frank Skinner, whose previous show had included Brian McFadden and Vinnie Jones.
It's a brilliant interview! I think she really felt at ease. I vaguely remember him saying years later that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.

To be fair, Vinnie Jones was quite famous at one time. And Westlife did sell a huge amount of records globally.

This might be one of the best interviews she has ever done. The host was so funny! But I have a question, in her book she writes that Justin sent her the break up text whilst she was on the set of the overprotected video (wiki says the song came out April 2002) But here, the host asks her about the overprotected single which has just come out, and then later asks her about JT and it appears they are still together, this show aired Jan 2002. So perhaps they split up shortly after this? The timeline is confusing.
She did two different videos for ‘Overprotected’, the first came out in early 2001 and the second one (darkchild remix) was recorded and released in march.
There were two versions, as the above comment stated. He broke up with her while she was on set of the Darkchild MV shortly after this interview.

He's so bad at interviewing. All he does is make sensational questions and doesn't think about her responses.
Very interesting to see how she was back then. Fast forwarding to the appearances she did after the conservatorship she was almost acting, like she was under so much pressure to please everyone. Sad what happened to her but she's hanging on and fighting the good fight

After reading her book, and knowing she wasn’t a virgin at all since her teen years, you can see how uncomfortable she was about having to lie about it and being made into this idol of celibacy. Just feel bad she had to lie about so much in her life for so long for no reason.

This is one of the interviews I think Britney was so comfortable and completely herself!
Right! I wish she got more of these, it's so moving to see her smiling and laughing so much compared to what other interviewers put her through.
Frank Skinner isn't really a professional interviewer, so he comes across more real and genuine. Think he was genuinely interested in her, rather than just wanting to get a big story.
