  • As requested by several of you guys I take apart my HJC RPHA 91 helmet and explain how I installed my Cardo Packtalk Edge. Some long term insights as well to how the helmet has been performing overall.

    Thank you for the video, I purchased the HJ C i91 and have the Cardo Packtalk Bold to install. I ordered the adhesive clips from Cardo and your tip notching the plastic for the wires is helpful and using the helmet notches for the speakers and mic.

    Thx for the video. It was useful, especially for removing the skirt. I stored the excess wire in the housing at the back of the helmet, originally intended for a battery.

    Can you include a link to where you got your pinlock "sun activated" for the transition you mentioned? Been looking into options for it.

    What I did for the wires is to hide it in the battery pack instead in the headliner just route the wires in the space between the foam and shell

    Thanks for this video! If i want to put the sticker for the controller on the plastic that is removed and let it prevent the movement of the sunvisor will it stick well or is it a big risk? I ask because this point is not flat.

    • @WeRide2
      @WeRide2  Před 4 měsíci

      I think you'd run into potential issues putting it there as the door for the sun visor mechanism is removable.

      @@WeRide2 Yes i know, my problem is if it will stick well to the removable plastic because its surface is not smooth.

      Hi, was just about to ask the same question.. did you manage to fit those 45mm JBL speakers in the buckets? I'm migrating my Cardo Freecom 4X from my old Nolan helmet to my newly purchased RPHA 91 and I would really like to know up ahead it they would fit before I buy a new cardo sticky plate and then start butchering things ..

    champion youtube channel rated this the quietest helmet out, does it really block out sound really well? I ride a straight pipe yamaha r1 so you know how that is

    • @WeRide2
      @WeRide2  Před 5 měsíci

      It's good for a modular but not the quietest helmet I've rode in. Straight pipe R1 you'd need ear plugs with any helmet lol. Sounds bad ass tho

    Thanks for the video. I am considering this helmet but I also use Cardo communicators. THe issue I see with your mounting position is that from my past experience is that unless the unit is mounted parallel to the airstream so its aerodynamics work as designed, wind noise becomes very, very loud and really unacceptable. I wonder if that happened to you. P.S. I use hockey tape to position the wires inside the helmet. It is extremely thin and super sticky so it will not detach.

    • @WeRide2
      @WeRide2  Před 2 měsíci

      Thanks for the tip with the hockey tape! I'll give that a try! I did not notice any additional wind noise after I mounted the Cardo.

    Hallo , vielen Dank für das tolle Video. Ich hätte fast das Zubehör zum Helm gekauft weil man mir sagte das würde nicht gehen. Geht doch gut! Wie man sieht. Ich habe eine Frage zu den Lautsprechern JBL. Sind die 40 mm und schön laut? Ich fahre immer mit Gehörschutz, da ich oft doch ein bisschen schneller fahre 160 - 200 KMH. Kann man da noch was hören?
    Gruß Christian und immer gute Fahrt! Und natürlich Frohe Ostern!

      Hallo, vielen Dank, dass Sie sich unser Video angesehen haben. Ich bin froh, dass es Dir gefallen hat. Das JBL 45mm, das ich verwende, funktioniert großartig. Es ist laut genug, um bei hohen Geschwindigkeiten von 160 - 200 km/h zu hören. Ich kann auch andere Autos immer noch hören. Frohe Ostern, mein Freund!

    Will this work with the i91 model? I don’t want the Sena 50b that the helmet claims to be ready to accept.

    Is it the same for cardo neo?

    • @WeRide2
      @WeRide2  Před 4 měsíci +1

      I would imagine it's about the same, the neo looks just like the Edge. I think the only difference is how it snaps into the cradle
