And the 2 unranked and belal im 98% certain are not first choice. When colby will only accept title shot and than calls out poirier if he wins the belt it really puts what the UFC has become into perspective

There’s just not the platform for mma in the u.k unfortunately. His only platform is the ufc. What really hurt Leon was his start. He lost his 1st fight. Then lost to usman to make it 2-4. In hindsight that loss has aged better than most losses. However the ROCKY start meant Leon has had to claw his way back to the top. And to his credit he’s done it very well.
Agree with everything you’ve said there! I do personally think that Usman is a different animal and will be the champ for a couple more years at least, though.
Great interview of a great person, love Leon as a fighter, the advice he gave for gangster type lads was something else.. get your belt.. well done to both men

He's a really good fighter but in this day and age you need to be a good talker aswell unfortunately. And he doesn't have that thing that till and bisping has if you know what I mean he's harder to sell.

I’m not sure if it’s Leon putting himself out there more or just growing interest but I’m glad for the change. BT Sport did some good interviews and Leon’s recent one with Teddy Atlas was a treat but this is the best interview yet. I think you got the most out of Leon because you got him the most relaxed. Great interview James. Rockys local to me and we have mutual friends and he is the pride of Brum. I saw Rocky not long after he was unable to fly out to the US for fight Island due to short notice and I could see the disappointment but everything happens for a reason and he's smashed the shit out of Diaz and is destined for that world title. Alright james mate. Just a few ideas if you need them. I feel like there's not many Podcasts with survival experts like Bear Grylls. Maybe look into a guest similar to him?
Also im sure a lot of people would like to see some people with near death experiences such as lost/stranded in different outdoor terrains.. Forrests/caves/grand canyon etc etc. Just some inspiration if you need it mate. I feel like if you was to change up a few of the guests into completely new types of characters/stories it could help catapult your channel to the next level. All the best fella

Ive actually met Leon once at the gym I train at, had a nice chat with him and also took a picture. He was training there a few times per week shortly before his scheduled Woodley fight last year (which was eventually cancelled). He’s good friends with the gym owners.
I've said the same thing I want my boy training for the discipline and in this day and age to defend himself my Mrs ain't so keen

Really enjoy the UFC & have followed it since watching a friend fight Paul Daley around 2006, before Paul went on to really take off for a while, but had a bad loss while back.
So much more enjoyable they all the gangsters churning out the same story, but with different actors.
