Context for non-mma fans: Jorge Masvidal sucker punched Leon back stage in his hometown and cut him. Jorge then gained fame over the incident by saying he served Leon a "3 piece and a soda." Since then, Jorge continuously avoided Leon for three years, saying he's a bum and undeserving of a fight. Leon ended up beating all the odds (injuries, embarrassment, cancelled fights) and knocked out the #1 pound for pound champion in Kamaru Usman. Now Jorge is coming out talking trash again. Makes perfect sense why Leon doesn't like him.

Nope, (As much respect as Leon deserves), Leon didn't act humble and interrupted Masvidals post Darren Till fight interview, got cocky with him out of nowhere, Masvidal didn't take that, walked up to him and threw some punches. That scenario would not have happened if Leon just walked by and let Masvidal have his interview. Leon exchanged first looks and words!!
I have to be honest it is beautiful to see Leon getting all this attention and interviews, I think anybody who's come from nothing or basically lived a life being dismissed by everyone will really love Leon's Story
Not only that he had a story the company could have pushed but they ignored him as well. Overcame all the odds foreal

Yo! that KO he got on Usman was insane. Down 3 rounds, losing the 5th going to a 49-46 decision most likely. And he lands one of the biggest headkicks of all time against the greatest pound for pound fighter at the time. Glad I got to watch it live, the roof exploded when it happened.
I would say his down 4 round and even his team didn't believe in him

I flipped out when it happened. Never been a huge fan of Usman, and I was really pulling for Leon to beat him. I obviously felt all hope was gone and Usman was for sure going to win by decision, and then he gets absolutely starched.

I'm from Scotland. Watched UFC since it's inception. Leon Edwards winning the belt is in my top 3 UFC moments of all time. He is an absolutely Class Dude.
As a Huge fan of this show and MMA, i thank yall for the interview. It shames me these guys arent as famous as boxers. Even Leon when he won the title (according to the brits themselves) there was hardly any mention of it on mainstream news. I hope this sport blows up quicker because these guys deserve it

I’ve been watching mma since the early 2000’s. The moment he knocked Usman out was my favourite moment of all time. His story, the way he humbly carries himself. He is the true meaning of a mix martial artist. I hope he stays champion for a long time.

Both UK Champs from the UFC (Bisping and Leon) had hardships in their personal life and fight career leading up to their title win. Both underdogs and won by KO. They’ve inspired so many people.
