I never said I hated Dany, as a matter of fact you can see me cheering for her when she was flying over the Dothraki on Drogon! But I love Jaime and Bronn as well. I didn't want either to die. This is why Game of Thrones is one of the best shows ever!

There is an interview with the 2 creators about this very episode. They particularly mentioned the exact sentiment you have. This is the first battle where MAJOR characters that we root for are on opposite sides of the battle field.
What is particularly funny is from the Burlington Bar "FINAL SCENE" video for this episode. There is a guy (named the Guinness guy) is getting so much hate for cheering when the bolt hits the dragon.
THis is why I love this episode so much, it will divide fans,. You will get hate, but that is a good thing, its passion in the context of this show.

Imon_Snow Daenerys is a spoiled brat that has barbarians who think she is a goddess following her and a bunch of castrated men. All her achievements were by her magic X-Men mutant power and the help of a ton of people like Jorah, Daario (who killed the other two leaders of his army and gave it to her just because she was pretty), Barristan, Tyrion, etc. She´s an entitled bitch who brags about her charity work. And now she destroyed all the gold and food so she won´t pay anybody for their work. They are still basically slaves. At least the Lannisters pay their army.

You all were on the edge of your seats for this one. Good stuff. A lot of people had trouble deciding who to root for in that battle because there were favorites on both sides. It wasn't as clearly divided as the Battle of the Bastards.
For sure. I'm all for dragons but Bronn and Jaime are two of the best characters in the show. Also, the way they shot the battle really put into perspective just how horrifying it would be to go up against Drogon and the Dothraki - I felt so bad for those Lannister infantrymen.

Since we were so shocked we didn't take into account that Jamie had Armor on, we realized this after we played back the scene a few times and analyzed it. Which is why I edited in "foreshadowing" when he made the comment about owning a lot and being weighed down. Bronn isn't wearing armor on so he can potentially save Jamie. It would be stupid for an amazing character like Jamie, to die like that.
Yeah there is no way they are going to kill a main character like Jaime off screen. That would be horrible writing

Either way reality of decisions are usually punished on this show with more than expendables & minor injury.
Beatrice i definitely agree with you on it being irresponsible but i also have to look at it from her perspective. She wants to show that she is not to be trifled with and the Dothraki alone could have done that but they are just men, now a dragon would make an even deeper impact. Jaime even says next episode that there is no way they can beat the men and her dragons. It was more a show of her power and revenge rather than a calculated move on her part, but i definitely agree with you that it was irresponsible to take drogon into a battle that could have been easily won by her army.

This was, indeed, a calculated move. To show (only a taste of) her power, yes; but also simply to add a victory to her score, leave the enemy moraly damaged and with half their supplies gone. Strategically impeccable move. One dragon, the Dothraki horde and the element of surprise. I understand that it can be seen as irresponsible to take Drogon to an "easy" batlle on the risk of grave injury or death of any or both of them, but if you have such beasts you use them at some point. It's been 150 years since Westeros saw the last ones, she needs to show them that "she has three full grown dragons" are not just words on a scroll...

Now that you mention it, I like the idea of Jaime AND Bronn being reunited with Tyrion (even under these circumstances and even while beyond pissed at each other).
Jaime gained some of his most redeemable qualities while prisoner to Catelyn, well Brienne really. Besides they'll both be much better off with Tyrion and Daenerys in the war to come.

you know, it is quite rare to find someone as like minded as me when it comes to game of thrones. I do not hate dany, but i dislike her attitude and how entitled she comes off as quite often. That said, i was in the same boat as you when it came to bronn and jaime. As much as i love drogon, bronn defending himself and his fellow comrades from a giant fire breathing beast that just now decimated a good amount of them is completely justified. I do not understand the people who want bronn to die because he defended himself lmao, they do not understand that dragons are not your average stupid animals. They are as smart or even smarter than humans, so drogon knew what he was doing when he burned all those soldiers( most of whom are probably like those lannister boys from episode 1) and he knew what he was doing some seasons back when he burned that child and the sheep surrounding her. I don't usually like Dany a lot. But the Lannisters have looted, pillaged and raped most of Westeros and have gone unchecked for long enough. The North opposed them once, but they got rid of them through vile and sneaky and cowardly means (Red Wedding). The soldiers were all a part of that. They are smug and confident about their power. Cercie has killed civilians without a second thought.
They got exactly what they deserved. They have had it coming since Season 1. At least Dany had the honour to meet them in open battle. And yeah, she has dragons. But the Lannisters knew this and still chose to oppose her. They could've surrendered if they cared about their soldiers' lives, which they certainly don't.
Seriously though the dramatic opera slow-mo, to you guys' reaction to the credits, was perfect. 😅😅

This is him actually seeing people being burnt alive by another Targaryen and he's hopeless, can't do nothing. Great scene

Ignore the hate, but you're not too swift. That's part of the charm. I don't get the love for Jaime. He backs Cersei. He pushed Bran out of a window. He tried to kill Ned. I know he's had some character development, but it would have been tragic if he had sacrificed himself to kill Dany. Dead Dany, dead Jaime. No hope for anyone surviving the army of the dead. For what? Cersei. Nope, he hasn't nearly developed enough for me to side against Dany, Drogon, Rhaegal, Viserian, Greyworm, Missandei, Varys, Tyrion and the Starks. Jaime represents the potential deaths of all those characters. I see people being torn and I don't get it. I like Bron, but he's working for Cersei. I wanted Drogon to burn him to a crisp. There are decent people on both sides, but do you want Ice and Fire? Do you want Fire and Blood, or do you want more wildfire? Cersei would never sacrifice herself to save the world. She has no plan against the Night King and army of the dead. In this episode Dany forced Tyrion and the audience to face what was really at stake. I'm a little taken aback that people would fear for Bron more than they would fear for the only hope against the Night King. I say, fuck Cersei and all who follow her. When and if Dany goes off the rails, I'll say fuck her too.
This isn't a battle at all. It's a complete massacre, Dany's slowly turning to his father that's for sure. She really has a mindset of a conqueror and all conquerors don't end well.

I don't get how people care about the dragons, the direwolves were great and I felt like they actually loved their owners and were docile but the dragons seem to be malicious (didn't Drogon eat a little kid or smth?) and I don't feel like they actually care about any people other than maybe Daenerys (and even that's a stretch, I feel they're just loyal to her)
