I have so many comments about this episode! But first, thanks Imon for a new reaction. First: I love the way Charles Vandervaart has studied Sam Heughan's gestures in the role of Jamie. That slight tilt of his head and the face that he makes when he turns around and sees Claire ...is almost a copy of Jamie's gesture. On the other hand, in the books William is almost the same as Jamie, only brunnette (although with a red beard, which bothers him), but the same thing happens with the casting of Brianna, because Sophie has played an excellent role, but in the books Brianna is taller than Claire (almost taller than Roger) and is almost a female version of Jamie but with Claire's eye color. Finally, the stranger who appears at the end of the episode was originally played by Graham McTavish in the 5th season but due to the actor's commitments (and also to fit the character a little more because he shouldn't look much older than Roger) they made a change of actor.

You didn't recognize the character at the end because he was played by Graham McTavish in season 5, also I'm assuming you have not read the books, which is how I knew who he was.

I've mentioned before that the biggest difference between book and show William is that book William looks so much like Jamie, people know instantly. So Claire recognized him, not the other way around. (She also recognized him when she first met him as a child on Fraser's Ridge in book four because his child-version-of-Jamie appearance looked so much like Brianna.) I absolutely adored the scene when Ian said "I ken very well what your ARMY is capable of." because it really brings into contrast the different ways these two cousins were raised. William, with his very privileged upbringing, thinks he's part of the good guys. Ian, with his upbringing and life experiences, knows better.

I certainly relate to your sentiments somewhat. There are characters I really want to like and root for, namely Sol, but my mistrust grows each episode, so I find myself intentionally reserving judgment of nearly every character until all is revealed at the end of the season. I’ve never watched a SW project like this, so it really is a unique and intriguing viewing experience.

Great reaction to my favorite episode and favorite scene in all of The Expanse! Most people love " I am that guy!" moment and rightfully so. But to be honest my favorite is just a few seconds before. A moment when Amos made a decision knowing that Prax would be forever changed if he killed Strickland. So Amos being the reluctant damaged hero he is by taking Prax's place to once again be the necessary monster to save his best friend in the whole world's soul... telling Prax " You're not that guy, you're not that guy ." 😭😭 Looking forward to the next one!

Prax taught Amos how to trust, leading to probably the most moving murder I've ever seen.

INCREDIBLE EPISODE!

This show never fails its finales. I wait anxiously to see how reactors respond to this episode. Amos kept his eyes on Prax when they apprehended Strickland. If Prax had not signaled that Strickland should die, Amos would likely not have killed him. Yes, like when Bobbie had to arm-wrestle the suit. There are no unnecessary scenes in this saga. "I am that guy" has got to be one of the most predictable lines in television history. Predictable dialog is usually a sign of poor writing, but in this case the writers had so prompted the anticipation of the audience that we would have been disappointed if Amos hadn't said it. There is discussion as to why Proto-Katoa looks upward at that moment. I think it's because he received the "Up" signal from the Protomolecule mother lode. Many others (and I think it's the writers' opinion) that there was still enough of Katoa left to be awed by being in the open. There certainly seemed to be some of Katoa left. The hybrid's movements always seemed tentative, and there was still human brain stem left in the creature...it splattered blood when Bobbie shot it.

Thanks to Amos, Prax was reunited with his daughter. Thanks to Amos, he's still the man who was her father. Bobbie got her rematch. Naomi learned to put her faith in the crew. Great finale for book 2.

So I started the expanse a few weeks ago because your reactions and finished all 6 seasons. I haven’t been that glued to a show in a while easily the best sci-fi show I’ve seen and Amos my favourite character

Great Episode. If i remember correctly the next one is good but humorous with a guy flying a spaceship trying to impress a girl.

There's a lot of stuff that we can be upset with Disney SW about.... The Jedi being flawed/imperfect in their views and practices isn't one of them. Maybe it's more heavy-handed in its delivery, but ever since Ben Kenobi both declared that the Jedi were the guardians of peace, AND that he fought in the Clone Wars, let's just say I was suspicious by the seemingly contradictory statements. I still love Obi-wan, love Yoda, but as an organization, the Jedi Order was flawed in every iteration that has ever existed.
