When I caught myself singing Living the Skye life with Willie, I knew I was in it for wherever y’all wanted to take me! And, boy, have you taken us to some breathtakingly beautiful places. You are exactly correct...one persons rural is different from another based on where they are from. Have a friend that lives in a big city and came to visit for the first time and said, "Wow! You live out in the sticks!"😂 I live 7 minutes drive to town!😂 But we do live in a secluded place because we are surrounded by trees! But I can be eating at Bojangles, Hardees, Wendy's, Chinese and a steak house in 5 minutes!!!😂😂😂 Love your channel and love the home you two have built together with Jack Spaniels❤
I think the combination of amazing countryside, music, art, dogs, walks with coffee and cake and pretty exciting diy is a magical combination- not forgetting trying to be environmentally friendly.

I think 50K subs and I will agree that we have fallen in love with you, Jack, Richard and all of the wonderful people you bring to our homes. I do miss Willie's weird belter dances from DSOS so if you could incorporate some of that nonsense in 2024, that would be smashing. I’ve been along for the ride from the beginning because I was already watching Willie digging for bottles and Sarah painting. It’s been a fun ride and I plan to keep going! I hope the new year brings you all you hope for . 🥳
Your home is fantastic to look at It’s identical to the vision I’ve had in my head as a home for years AND THEN TO TOP IT OFF YOU HAVE YOLANDIE
Skye seems beautiful but I think a lot of your success is due to the two of you and Jack being so genuine, friendly and optimistic. For my part, when you have a bull in the road, you are rural. Love your Chanel. Looking forward to the new pup too.
Also, In an old cottage in a rural but not remote part of the countryside, we have bats, mice and squirrels in the loft as they all come in to get warm in the winter from early October. We have frogs newts spiders moths and some flies in the summer and the odd slug. But the dogs eat the frogs unless I get there first and collect them up in a cup, the bats eat the moths and the spiders eat the flies, the dogs chase the squirrels and we remove the odd mouse! No one seems to bother the birds in the garden except the odd buzzard or sparrow hawk, we have lambs and cows at the bottom of the garden and the 2 Jack Russell’s love the lambs but aren't so sure about the cows but we all seem to get along ok. You just get used to it. Except one of the dogs ate a toad and had to be rushed off to the vet! Xxx
Living where I do in Canada, I understand the really long days in summer, and the short short days in winter. Here we have black fly season and mosquito season as well. May is the worst month for bugs where I live.

Sarah, you asked the same question I asked my sister yesterday. Where did the year go? It flew by didn't it? I think the first six months went normally, and the last six months passed when I blinked.
I watched Dirty Secrets in one whole sitting. It took me time to understand that you knew there were places you could find the bottles. It wasn't random. Lol! She Walks causes me to walk through Scotland, very comfortably thanks. I admire your talent, especially since I have none.
I got mice this year too. I bought humane traps, and I too drive them to a field far away from the house. I once had seven mice in ten days! They've finally decided to decamp the property.
Americans don't understand people opening windows to insects. We have mesh screens on every window!
Wow it’s hard to believe that’s it’s already been a year. I started out watching your other two channels first and then the move to Skye and have been hooked on this channel ever since. To watch you do all of the upgrades changing the cottage into your very own was amazing! Plus all of the places you have gone to on the island showing the beauty and history of it is so interesting. You are so lucky to be able to go into nature and the water to gather some of your food is awesome. So happy for the three of you, soon to be four. That was amazing , I love where you live it wouldn’t be to remote for me if I was 40 years younger. I get the gripe with the Tourists though I live in Cornwall , the only time we can really enjoy our beautiful county is in the winter, also as our garden borders fields we have field mice under our house , so, like you, we take them for a long drive to find a safe place to release them . The rain has been relentless for weeks now and as we have a Border Collie also called Jack trying to get him enough exercise has been challenging to say the least. But watching your Bloopers gave me a much needed belly laugh. So happy new year to you I can’t wait to meet the new puppy and thanks for sharing your amazing Skye Life.❤️

Hello. Great recount of your first year “Living the Skye Life”. I have been following you for 6 months having found you by accident from watching some other Skye video. I’ve greatly enjoyed it and can’t wait your further adventures with Jack and his new brother Nori. I’m from S Wales so we get our share of bad weather, we have a saying about heavy winds, we call them lazy winds, they’d rather go through you than bother taking the long way by going around you!
