Joy and McCoy make it seems like Justin Fields had stars on his team. They said the same thing and 49ers QB. They eating crow about that. The reason the Bears don't have a QB is because of terrible coaching. Mitch Trubisky wasn't as bad as everyone says. The kid led his team to playoff and did his job but coaching with horrible kicking ended they season. Bears need to stop giving up on QB and really develop them.
Chicago had the 2nd pick in 2017. They could have drafted Mahomes, but picked Trubisky. Kansas City fans thank you Chicago.

It’s true though, the offense was never good for Fields, that’s a true fact and Shady was right. They tried to add some talent but fields didn’t have protection either o-line is trash. Defense was depleted and lost key pieces every offseason, another fact. Fields just isn’t a true starting QB without access to throw to talent and a good o-line. Caleb is totally different look at his tape. The smarts, the trust, the leader, the emotion and the skills are all better than Fields. Fields was doomed going to the Bears because the Bears weren’t ready to be the Bears…FACTS
If the Bears defense continues to hold up, I think Caleb and his new receivers and running back should be good for at least 3 more wins. Not sure if 10 wins is good enough to make the playoffs though. But I CAN see them winning 12.
Here is how:
They split their 3 division games, lose at the Texans and lose to the Rams at home, that’s 5 losses.
Then they go on the road and beat the Cardinals, Colts, Commanders and my 49ers, who will be dealing with their Super Bowl Jinx.
And at home they beat the Titans, Patriots, Panthers, Jaguars and Seadogs. That leaves them at 12-5.
We will find out by January if I am crazy or not.

The bears have the oldest roster between lions and packers. The Age of roster could make differences between 3 teams.
You speak of Aaron Rodgers and Jordan love they both followed established QB play remember Brett Favre they had time to develop and get acclimated to the NFL game . He is not going into the same situation. He is starting his success will be on the coordinator as he gets use to the pro game knowing how to use the weapon systems around him .
Understanding defences personel and weakness and down and distance tendencies etc .
They do need to prove what they are capable of. Your career is not guaranteed in the NFL. You don’t become a Boss straight from the Jump. That’s earned not given. Players need to remember that.

Caleb has to make the playoffs. This is a team thats already improved upon a 7-10 record. Usually QBs who are like that add a good 3-4 wins to the record from prior to them. Bears need to be a 9-10 win team that makes the playoffs. Comparing this situation to that of the Texans is wild, the Texans were the second worst team prior to acquiring CJ and CJ dragged a 3 win team to the second round of the playoffs

The night chicago went and got Mitchell Tribusky when they coulda got Patrick Maholms, I rmr being in the war room in KC. Reid never even tried to trade up because it was already pre determined maholms was coming to KC. None of this is as random as you think.

I want my QB to be mentally tough. I want my QB to want to show everyone what's up, like Mahomes did. I could be wrong but something about Williams is soft. I watched all his games at USC and he has all the talent in the world. But something is a little too prima donna, I would take Jaden Daniels. He is a baller and he is tough as nails.
