The fact that it charges in half an hour cannot be understated!! That’s just enough to rest up after a 20 miles trek. Incredible
But doing that might make the battery last only like a year or so because it might stress the batteries so hard it messed them up but who knows ...they don't even listen what ttype of batteries they use I cant find it on the website
Remember the rules for batteries in general, what happens when u constantly charge a battery to fast? Instead of charging it normally?
@@flop20lo you should email them with your brilliant engineering. They will surely be astonished at your findings
Doing some minor calculations based on the Lishen cells it’s using - the fast charger isn’t hurting the cells too much. The charger (if it’s a 1000W charger) is feeding about 5A into each of the battery packs (4 on the standard battery). Those cells are rated for standard charging at 2A, with max charging at 6A. So they’re leaning to the high end, but it’s not the max. The Aux pack by itself is similar (Samsung 40Ts) and it alone would only charge at 3A in its 12s6p config, making it barely above nominal charging, not to mention Samsung doesn’t even give a nominal rating. Now if the aux pack charges in parallel with the standard battery, that gives you 2A across both batteries' packs, so if that’s true, the fast charger was built specifically for this purpose.
Ideally you would use the fast charger when you need it and use the regular everywhere else, but using the fast charger all the time isn't actually too terrible for your batteries. Or get a variable charger, like the ChiBattery Systems one.
I believe the Exway fast charger ramps down quite aggressively (estimated average of 800-900w from 0-100%) to save the cells especially when charging with just the internal battery
@@tzdkb If that's true I'd definitely just use the fast charger all the time. 800-900w is 4A - 4.4A on the stock battery and I can't imagine that versus the nominal 2A charging would be hard on your battery.
Absolutely knocked this review out of the park in every aspect my man! I agree that Exway continues to blow my mind when it comes to innovation and ability to push the market further! That charger is also insane, it really takes any range anxiety away from a normal user. Than the AUX pack added on as well, just crazy innovation….nice job
daniel really has the best reviews out there keep it up bro
I think this is the future, there's no reason to have a much bigger car (electric or not) than you can have an electric skateboard or scooter which are much better for short city trips and much cheaper
There is a reason to have cars like having a family or disabled people or stuff like that

Wow I almost never watch full reviews, but your video is so concise and packed full of info, that before I knew I had watched the entire thing😅 Great work!
I love the editing in this video! Nice job!
My guy, this was the best esk8 review ever made
Props to you, I just bought one 😎🤙🏾
How are you liking your atlas pro(2wd/4wd?)
Clicked out of curiosity, stayed for the dope editing of the video! Great job.
Such a well thought and refined video. Thank you Daniel!!
One of the best videos I have ever seen. Thank you for all the effort you put into this vid

FAQ: Where is the 1000W charger?
A: I'm told it will be released next week. So that's around end of this month or start of next month.
Do you think it can be used for the Flex pro ?
I can't Order EXWAY Wave NASA edition for my country 🇨🇵😭
For faster Board I already have Onsra Black carve 3 I don't want Atlas Pro
Fan du Maroc 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
I’m glad you talk about portability. I refer to this aspect as “living with it”. It’s not just picking it off the ground to walk some stairs, it’s loading and unloading from a car with your arms out in front of you or occasionally putting it in a luggage box on top of my van .
I have two Evolve boards a GTR (11kgs) and a Hadean (13.5kgs). The Hadean is noticeably heavier, or put another way going back to the GTR is even more noticeable in its lightness.
I’m unaware of an upgraded board compared to my Hadean that isn’t heavier.
But I do wish to add an AWD at some stage and this one with the long range battery on top puts it on the short list.
They have a pretty tasty black friday deal on as well. I'm very close to pulling the trigger! Looks like a great board and I've been after a 4x4 since I saw the previous Atlas
Love that they poured on the range parameters, despite the abuse to the lifetime of the tech. How long does this combo of range and recharge time permit the unit to continue working (considering easy to hard use). THAT is acutely useful info. Great video!
Love your videos man. Thanks so much.
Wow. So informative. Thanks so much!!
Damn !
It's been a while I haven't watched a board review that pumped me up that much !
The biggest deal of the entire review is by far the fast charging capabilities of both the charger and the battery to be able to tank it in just about 30 mins !
That's pretty life changing !
Wish every other board manufacturer would start implementing such a fast charger in their pipelines.
Great work yet again. I love when you release new vids, been watching for years and always look forward to it and I don’t even have an esk8! (Yet!) Keep up the awesome content.
Dude just buy one already!
@@ian9toes Dude, like totally my guy 🙏
One thing I noticed in particular about your range test was that you did it on pneumatic tires. Traditional PU wheels would likely go even further! I'd love to get my hands on this board, with the auxpack, and perhaps some 111mm zoobomb wheels. Excellent review!
Or the Dad Bods . If you haven't tried, they are good .
The Exway Atlas Pro listing on their website has specs at the very bottom of the page.... with 90mm PU wheels, 2WD, and the aux pack.......183km!!(113miles!!)
Great review! I LOVE IT!
I've been ridding an exway flex for 2 years as a kind of mobility option. I want something smoother with pneumatic tires. The Atlas seems like the best.
Great videos !
alright, awesome video, love your enthusiasm too.
Wow very informative video!
Wonderful Daniel
Oh finally....Nice review!
Really good review - thank you for that quality of informations!
The rest of the eSk8 industries has to orientated by Exway!
Great information as always! Will you do an Atlas Pro vs Zeus Pro comparison video? I'm still a bit torn (and I imagine others may be as well), and hearing your thoughts between them may help me decide.
My atlas pro has 175ml wheels on the rear for the gear drive and 160ml on the front, but I can’t go over 30mph without immediate speed wobbles, so do be careful! I cannot get the atlas pro to full speed with AT tires without crashing, don’t try and go full speed with all terrain wheels! I barrel rolled off going over 25mph and thanks to safety equipment I only suffered some road rash to my hip.
The funny thing was I came to a stop with my feet sticking straight up into the sky so I just sat there upside down for a few seconds and let the cars pass me.
That guy was pretty fast with his exway atlas pro. I raced against him on that day on the kart track in Cologne. Very good rider and awesome Board.
It was nice racing you guys! The track in cologne was soo nice as well, hopefully see you at another event
It’s crazy how far exway has come. They’re a legit, commercial, consumer product company and continues to produce new product and innovate.
Need someone to make a high end short boards with a kick tail like the meepo mini. Exway wave is close but one more generation and I'm excited!
Thankyou Daniel having just got an Atlas Pro the QR code in the manual links to the Exway App which doesn't work, noticed your using the ExSkate App which does work 👍
I never thought to get the atlas board until the past year-and-a-half. Ir seems they hired some crazy fortune teller and made a board that can do a lot of different things for all kinds of riders . Great video , can't think of a question u didn't answer. Thanks
D Kwan: Best esk8 reviews of the internet
⚡🤙🏼 *Great review,* as always 🤙🏼⚡
ps, as a bushings geek I wanted to add, the bushings resemble Venom Freeride bushings, not the Eliminator. They also look like a Riptide FatCone with a step in it.
Lookin forward to seein what you make of gear drive.
Interestin to see Exway using Lishen cells, I'm quite fond of them, my Verreal RS has Lishen cells.
37mph 😱
That Aux pack will become the norm some time soon, great to have it as an option.
That fast charger is insaaaane. GaN is the future! ⚡⚡
A super fast charger is great for the occasional group ride.
Nice to see customer feedback leadin to changes in features.
That NASA version though, especially the Wave 🤩
Both Venom Eliminator and Freeride actually. There are stepped barrels and cones. (I didn’t know about Venom Freeride.)
@@DanielKwan I love usin an Eliminator in the rear truck, board side, it's like a super wide barrel so keeps the back way more stable than a regular barrel. Lot of rebound so flat washer, I've found cupped has too much rebound with an Elim.
Damn I JUST bought my Atlas carbon first generation 4x4 and now I wish I spent the extra money and got the pro
i must say ... the review was lit af !!
Ahh I asked question on their post about whether center of the deck would be bad with battery pack or not. This answers it.
Curious to see how the gear drives perform.
cool video dude
Yo... I thought my monitor got on fire at this part.lmao 2:01 You made me jump.
As a range junkie, the aux pack is absolutely awesome.
This is so good
Great video, as always, especially this anticipated aux pack. How do you feel about the DKP trucks on the atlas pro? I am considering this board but have no experience riding this type of truck, as all my other boards are TKP or RKP.
Their DKP trucks are much better designed than others’ I’ve tried which are mostly copies of each other. The included stepped bushings make them way more stable than I need. But I still hope they look into RKP for a simpler design.
Please HELP! My exway atlas turns off if disconnected from the power source. only 3 motors are working and i cant connet to the app. (don't see the board pop up) Can anyone help me
hope your ankle was OK with all that riding!
Any more info on the gear drive system? I dont want to deal with belts because of all the debris on my roads here in Florida. Thanks for another great review, Daniel!
Hey can you answer me this i live in alaska now picture or research it now whats better for me to have atlas pro or Mountain Board Telum BA 2-IN-1 4WD thx hope i get a reply
Does anyone know when they will start shipping to NYC? I just ordered the Atlas Pro three days ago and it still says waiting for shipping. Is it true about people saying Mid Jan? Just want to know.
I feel like this means the atlas pro after all those updates will be one of the most advanced of road boards, I know they're are mountain boards but I have a feeling this will give them a run for there money
Awesome video. True as you said, boards getting too heavy and powerful for general use. This is to my only viable for real off-roading. But what and dope board and the updates coming 🤌🫶. 2WD is pretty interesting and manageable in daily life. For longer grouprides it might be interesting to some. So I get it it will appeal to some 🤙
Quick charging also nice for those who need it. I personally prefer a slower and safer charge to maintain battery health. Had too many times (not only me), that board just cuts out out of the blue around 40% because battery is unbalanced. So manufacturers should focus more on better BMS's, safer charging and possibility to watch all cells to follow up.
My Kingsong S22 EUC can use two 126V x 5A = 630W chargers, so 1260W
When using one charger which I usually do it starts drawing 100W per 10 minutes up to 110W when close to full, but then the last 30 minutes its going down like 30-40W per 10 minutes before shutting itself off, and coz I can see alot of info about the individual battery units in the app it looks like its because not all the cells charge at the same speed so its balancing them, so letting it finish is good for longer lasting cells I guess.
Would you ever buy a Trampa? All these board reviews and the one thats missing is a proper eMTB with 9inch wheels and eMTB trucks (i.e Matrix/Apex Airs/Infinity etc)..hopefully this move towards eMTB style boards from these manufacturers could encourage you to try out a proper eMTB. Keep up the solid content 👍
I don’t really live in a place that would be good to use one. My guy in Hangzhou has tried out the Acedeck one, video about that coming.
I have a fully built Tampa board in the US and I'm looking to sell it, contact me if interested.
Damn the 30 minute charge time is a game changer.
I just got my atles pro 4x4 but one of the wheels isn't Tru and has a wobble. About 2-3 millimeters and is noticable when free spinning the drive in the air. Haven't ridden it yet and waiting for exway to get back to me. Is this normal? Can it be fixed. The retaining nut is tight. This is the wheel not tire issue. The other side wabble as well but not as bad. It caught my eye immediately. The front wheels have little to no wobble.
The aux packs secret is that it’s connection to the battery is the same plug the battery uses to power the motors.
Hey Daniel, I was wondering if you have any info on the GaN charger issues. I just got my atlas pro today and charged it to full before riding it down to 40%. When I tried charging it later, the light on the brick stayed green and wouldn't charge the board. I did some research and this is definitely a common issue. I ordered a 1000w charger bc I was gonna get one anyways, but I wanted to know your opinion on this issue or if you had any info from exway as it takes a while for a response from support. Thanks in advance!
The Blackhawk by vestar charges really fast also and can go 25 miles per charge would love to see you review one. 😎
@DanieIKwan.. where do I contact?
really great to see the battery pack system and fasting charging. I have the #EXWAYWAVE and love the weight/size/removable-battery. I dont need a long board but looks like a fun option for a long path system - road trip.
I have an atlas pro with a rear wheee gear drive, I’ve owned a half dozen eboards but this one is the first one that I believe can reach its advertised range, I can go 10 miles in 4th gear in one hour and because I have the 1000 watt charger I can stop for a bite to eat and it will be charged in less than 45 minutes and be ready to go again, that is Exway, that is skate-minded.
Evolve can suck it.
Anyone know when the racing tires will be launched? (1:51) or any alternative tires that are both wide but rubbery?
Have you reviewed OwnBoard Zeus Pro? If so, what was the range?
I wish he did more focus on the negatives that people find with exway. There are not a lot but there are a couple on going issues with the battery quality.
Great board, great manufacturer, and a great review to boot 🤜🏻 ...Speaking of boots, what are the ones that you're wearing in the videos? Cheers 🙏🏻

@@DanielKwan sweet! Cheers 🤜🏻
Bonne continuation
What board would you recommend for beach and mountain/off road
I agree that Eboards like the atlas pro have more power than most people need, it’s range is so large that even your remotes battery may get low after the second charge if you don’t charge it as well.
Totally sold! Is there any feet straps though? Glad I have a german shepherd puppy as an excuse to get one of these!!
You should test the 4wd with gear drive instead of belt drive!
Orders mine on the 18th got the new hydro wonder wheels already shipped but no tracking on my board yet. Getting really antsy
Hello
I drive Ownboard Bamboo GT.
I live in a mountainous area with a lot of steep ascents and descents.
I want to buy a new more powerful board with more range and good brakes. I choose between Exway Atlas PRO 2WD, Ownboard ZEUS PRO and Meepo Hurricane Ultra.
Can you advise which board is best for my purposes? 🙏🏽
So far I really like the Atlas PRO but after this review I started to have my doubts as you said it's not a lash option if you want a board with good range without buying an extra battery.
I strongly believe that many other esk8 manufacturers will follow suits with AUX batt pack available with their boards in 2023. Hopefully, the prices will drop somewhat.
30min for 50%?? holy...that's f awesome
Could you maybe make another video on wheels and your opinions on them bc quite a lot have come out in the past 6 months or so
Will this help me stop braking truck on awful uneven sidewalks. If yess I'll take one
Cool.
Hope this helps others & EXWAY. both handbrake & cruise do not work when in free mode. I hope they will enable handbrake by clicking the button 3x ( not used in free mode ).
I have a question. Where can I buy the 1000w charger?
Couple of questions if that’s okay?…
1. As mentioned, the board is heavy. Did you get to try the mobility with the backpack it comes with?
2. Can we bypass the safe mode feature?
3. Do we have to maintain the Aux Pack for deep storage like we would the Atlas Pro battery? As mentioned, we wouldn’t need the Aux pack all the time so I imagine it would be stored a lot.
Have not tried with the backpack. Think I’d rather install its handle and pull that way instead of carrying on my back.
My units initially had beta software which skipped safe mode, but seems many people who bought it said they couldn’t skip it. I suppose a simple workaround would be to put the board on a table with wheels in the air, throttle up, engage cruise control, and just let it run for 30 min.
The AUXPack discharges itself to 60% after a few days.
Aw man, thank you for the replies. This is helpful. I guess I’d rather just ride the board then waste previous km’s lol.
I also noticed some kind of attachment/connection (square) in the middle of your board where the Aux pack goes. I have a NASA board but that middle square piece where the Aux pack would go is not there by default. Does that attachment come with the Aux pack?
@@KnoxAnder The AUXPack comes with a new deck lid that includes that port.
Thank you good sir 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Great review Daniel 🙂 What is the ride like on the chunky 175mm tyres on regular road terrain? Thanks
On regular road it feels the same as the stock 160mm to me.
@@DanielKwan Thank you - good to know. My board is on route, and I have the 175mm tyres too
Hello,
If range is important to me, what board would be best in the $1000-1700 price range?
Thanks for the advice.
Hi the propel endeavour S has a range of 40km ans kosts 1300$
Finally!
How does the balancing between the board and the auxpack work. Do they need to be charged to the same level separately before being connected?
They seem to level out by themselves and pretty quickly, I’m guessing at 20A.
Could you review the new ownboard W1S ? The original version was a budget beast.
This board looks pretty good. I'm only starting with eskateboarding in Australia and am wondering have you reviewed the evolve hadean board and how does this one compare to it?
My Hadean unfortunately had a bunch of problems and now won’t even turn on.
@Daniel Kwan that is unfortunate, I hope you can get these resolved under warranty, I believe evolve give at least 12 months warranty on their boards. I would really like to see a review by you on this board.
The Acton Blink Qu4ttro has Traction Control. It's not in production anymore. So far, it's my favorite board but the traction control has been an issue all along. Sudden loss of power on even just two wheels because of a pebble or a leaf is extremely irritating - especially during acceleration phases. I wonder how Exway is going to handle those cases...
I have the carbon 2wd, I love it but I could for sure use an auxpack. This 1000 dollar price point makes me want to just save for the atlas pro tho.
Wow your logo went into your drink and splashed!🤯! That was kind of amazing!
Hey Daniel. Love your videos. No disrespect to you, but After watching your video on the Atlas Pro, I went out and brought one. To this moment I've had nothing but a less-than-stellar experience with Exway and the Atlas Pro. Were you aware that we are having charger issues with the Atlas Pro over in the U.S.A? Some of us are having our chargers fry themselves and then dying. I've noticed that Exway has not addressed this issue anywhere I can find it easily. Since you are one of the top CZcamsrs supporting Exway, I'd figure I'd see what you have to say about this matter. I'm not the only one having this issue. There are more riders making videos on this matter besides me. I've already contacted Exway and I won't get a replacement charger until Jan 30th. It's been 40 days since I purchased the board. I've only tested the board before it died. Hope you or Exway address this and give me a little more understanding as to what's going on. I'm not mad anymore, just confused at this point. Thanks.
No I’ve not heard about this from anyone.
@@DanielKwan Thanks for replying back so fast. I guess it's just me. Sounds accurate.
Can you review the new exway iwonder hydro wheels? I'm sure lots of people are interested in these.
Which skateboard has the longest range?
How much will the aux pack be ?
Hello Mr Kwan ^^. I saw at the end of this video that you have the new Exway wheels Hydro. They look really nice, could you make a review about it please. That would be nice to compare them to cloudwheels ( 105) and the meepo cyclone 110, specially the impact on the range. I think you have the Exway Flex Pro, wich is a super nice board, but with a "small" battery compare to the M. Voyager. A 80kg rider on the Flex pro can get +/- 25 km, wich is not very much.... and if the new Hydro wheels suck range because they are kinda rubber, this would be sadly decrease even the range .... So if you can tell us more about these wheels, that would be very nice ( and no one has made review on these wheels yet .... So Premium Video ;-)
Hydro is not a "soft" wheel like Cloudwheels and Meepo Cyclones. It is meant to be like the stock Exway wheels but safer on wet asphalt, so the impact on range should be negligible. It's good to get if your area rains a lot or have an obscene amount of street cleaning, not good for more comfort.
@@DanielKwan Thanks very much for this clear answer.
How are you riding 70km in a day? My legs will get sore and numb after 15km or so. Special shoes? Funky stance? Help me out here!
Plenty of rest at red lights and stuff. Riding even just 10 km without stopping at all would be tiring for me.
Anyone know what kind of shoes those are at 5:05 ? I dig em.

Another epic video, great job Daniel (and your henchmen). I am also curious about the gear drive and more reviews about the skateboards you ride the most (I.e. lighter/more practical options).
Is packing that big AUX battery going to be an issue for airport check-in? Seems to be an issue for large electronic gadgets.
Batteries over 160Wh can't be taken on passenger planes.
