Try Stevie Ray Vaughn I think you'll like it
Lilly henry he gotta start eoth albert king before he get to stevie
You can NEVER un-hear Pink Floyd. That will be with you forever.
NW Monk it automatically imprints onto your DNA.
Dude! That statement is so true! Love it
100th like and I've been listening to floyd for 14 years. I'm 27 btw
Exactly NW Monk. He gets it. He got on the bus.
NW Monk YOU GOT THAT RIGHT..
You don't listen to Pink Floyd, you experience Pink Floyd. The chillist song EVER.
Pink Floyd 🤘
you right !
Love your videos... Don't stop.
Until you get to the chorus, when it just feels like the biggest, most intense song ever. That chorus is just gigantic.
i remember this when i was a kid in 1978 . ..... until 2018 thats 40 yrs bruh...in tha making
How about I talk to the wind by king crimson tho ?
" Therapy to the soul" Could not sum it up any better than that. Love it.
Absolutely right. When I was young, this was my teenage music, you know, we were just "rockers". Actually, this music soothes my soul.
That sax is so damn smooth.
Brought to you by the very talented Dick Parry.
David Gilmour has played the sax on some of their music.
Eunice Owens A foursome of female vocalists was assembled to sing on "Brain Damage", "Eclipse" and "Time", and saxophonist Dick Parry was booked to play on "Us and Them" and "Money".
That's cool, I didn't know that. I have the CD, I just didn't take the time to read the credits.
growing up my father and i did not vibe...at all...until one day he came home with this new album...he put it on his hifi stereo system...you know, the tall case with the record player on top and the glass front door...he cranked it and we sat there and listened to the entire album and then listened to it again...no words were exchanged...we just sat there and totally enjoyed the moment...and that's how I became a pink floyd fan.
Some things never change. My sister bought this album about a year after it was released. We both loved it...and so did our father, who was more of the 50s generation of rock. One of the few times I connected with my dad.
Thats a cool story, Lori. Once you've heard Floyd it stays with you for ever. Even though you'll really like many other tunes throughout your life, you'll always come back to Floyd because nothing is better.
Lori, what seems like a lifetime ago I remember getting off the school bus and being excited to see that my dad was home (he traveled for work a lot) and getting inside and he'd have his record player going with either Animals, Dark Side of The Moon, or The Final Cut. I was too young to understand the lyrics but it I used to sit there with my dad and listen. 25 years later we went to see Roger Waters "The Wall" tour and subsequently the "Us+Them" tour. I understand your sentiment. I share it and even though my dad and I differ on a lot I am so happy to have had that time. Cheers to you Lori
Omg that is so beautiful 😍😊💯👌❤
That's a beautiful story. Thank God for masters like Pink Floyd who make us feel so much and break through things that we didn't think we could.
Nothing will ever top Dark Side of the Moon. Ever. A pure masterpiece.
Amen to that Best one they did.
I think it's the greatest rock album of the 20th century.
The Greatest
Animals for me just barely is my favorite over Dark side...by a fraction.
It's flawless. The greatest album of all time.
"Forward he cried, from the rear, and the front rank died." This line always hits me.
That's how it was with the English. Cannon fodder really. I guess they were hoping they had more men than the other side had bullets.
Yeah, it sort of hit me when I first heard it back in '74; I was in the Army at the time...
Hits you like a ball peen hammer between the eyes.
That line always hits me as well.
Coyote Green totally. Always loved that line as well. The art of floyd extends past the amazing sound. I also like how voices are sometimes almost 'played' sort of like instruments.
Alan Parsons of The Alan Parsons project was the engineer for this album, he's the reason the album sounds so thicc and lush. He pioneered and popularized a lot of studio tricks that we take for granted today, such as looping, doubling vocals and instrument tracks.
OH man. the first time I heard, The Raven by Alan Parsons is when music really came to life for me.
I did not know that! Thanks for sharing.
Mmmmm thicc....
Parsons also did Abbey Road. The Beatles, interestingly enough, first ran into Floyd in Abbey Road Studios much earlier when they recorded their albums Piper At The Gates of Dawn and Sgt. Peppers down the hall from each other in '67.
Parsons was a genius this was recorded at Abbey Road Studios
When you get to "Brain Damage" on this album, it's probably best to listen to the final song combined with it. Both songs are one big finale.
thanks for letting me know this ill try to do it that way
it pretty much feels like one song anyways . even together its the shortest song on the album.... theres not really even a break between them.... i love when i can find the karaoke version that is both together...the lunatic is in our heads!
so u havent quite gotten there but soon? wow ive never been excited to see someone else get to something . hope its soon! lol . well done sir
Stephen Jules Rubin it gives me a smile seeing people react to legendary music for the first time.
There are videos u can find that are brain damage/ eclipse because they are made to be listened together.
Stumbled upon your videos today and as a lifelong pink floyd fan it has been a true pleasure to see your introduction to the band. Each album of theirs is an experience you must have and I can be sure you will be hooked for life. Welcome to the Pink Floyd obsession 😁
Pink Floyd....Are the only band that can take you places no other band can.
Ian Young with all respect I don’t think so have you heard Rushs 2112 and Cygnus X1
Hey man, I love Rush. I have seen them in concert twice in the last few years. But they are not in the same league as Pink Floyd.
wb6162 cool me to. And yes Ik there two different types of rock but with there lyrics it holds the same idea of what Hess saying
wb6162 - Agreed. I saw Rush 5 times (Moving Pictures, Signals, Power Windows, Roll The Bones, Snakes & Arrows). They were one of the great prog rock bands/rock bands of all times.
If there is one rock band will be considered classical music 200 years in the future - it's Pink Floyd.
Brove Cheesecake2 great taste in music mate
overwhelmed by the Floyd.. Glad to see some humanity in the world 👍
There will never be another like them.
There is just something about listening to Pink Floyd for the first time. I remember back in the vinyl days, saving up to buy a Pink Floyd album, sitting alone with no distractions putting the needle on the record and then savoring every note that would be played. It was epic.
I was 12, lived in a village in England with 12 houses and my mum and dad bought me a record player for my birthday. Plus Two albums and this was one of them. Just imagine that. Oh yes I still have the album in the attic. Never to be parted from.

There's something truly special about watching a man get his Floyd on.
Interesting facts about the album
Upon its release, The Dark Side of the Moon was a commercial and critical success. It topped the Billboard Top LPs & Tapes chart for a week, and remained on the chart for 741 weeks from 1973 to 1988 (14 Years). Following a change in methodology in 2009, the album re-entered the chart and has since appeared for over 900 weeks. With an estimated 45 million copies sold, it is Pink Floyd's most successful album and one of the best-selling worldwide.
3rd best selling record of all time
John Gibbin it stayed in the upper portion of the chàrts for a long time like 14 yrs right? WOW Who else has ever done that? They RULE. Check out any colour you like
interesting fact about this song
on the night i went to see the pulse concert at earls court, dave started singing and his voice cracked on the word 'us' , he carried on like a pro and the crowd went wild. best experience in my 45 years so far
I envy you man. I saw Roger Waters "The Wall" presentation in ST Paul, MN. One of the best nights of my life with my son who was probably 19 or so. I'll never forget it.
and i envy you, i didnt get to see roger and my brother went to berlin wall concert but hey, we cant have everything ;)
I have yet to see anyone not love Pink Floyd, they are just too good to miss
@Brad Tell your roommate he's overrated and has a shallow thought process.
I'm a 71yr old man with many yrs of PTSD, and Pink Floyd has calmed me for along time. I just want to say I really dig your appreciation for their special music. In moved almost to tears to see a young man discover the beauty of this music. It truly touches the soul, and I'm diggin your reaction to it. God bless, and enjoy the Pink Floyd journey.
hello led do you still alive?
Climax in 3...2...1... 3:50
God, I bawled so hard at that crescendo tripping balls one night.
He had to run that one back. Single best change reaction I've seen yet from this album or the Wish You Were Here vids. Much love.
Love this guy.
thanks !
Joey You seem it would be fun to hang out with and listen to pink floyld with.. Love the way you get into it..
Guess what guys?`Im on my way to Roger waters(pink floyd) concert here in Norway in 2 hours! Im pumped as hell cuz of this video, thanks my man! and wish me good luck!
rogerwaters.com
best concert i ever saw
He is great live. Too bad you might get a side of political science. Last time I saw him he gave a 30min speech about how I was racist and homophobic because of whom I voted for... never again. And I absolutely love Floyd.
Hope you enjoy it. I am going to see him in Stockholm on Saturday and I can't wait. Also going to see Nick Mason (Floyd's drummer) i 2 weeks time.
crazexskater
maybe you were, who knows..?
It was produced by the wonderful Alan Parsons. He is a genius. Love your reactions!
Alan Parsons IS a genius!
Yes I suspect the videos poster would like Eye In The Sky
He nicked a good bit of this for "Time" if you didn't notice.
The thing about Floyd , they are an album band. The songs are great, but they each flow to the next, so listen to the whole thing in one sitting. They are all masterpieces.
Us and Them is one of the best Floyd songs. The complete "Shine On You Crazy Diamond" is, hands down, the best Floyd work.
Dick Parry - sax
Nick Mason -drums
David Gilmour - guitar God and musical genius
Richard (Rick) Wright - keys
Roger Waters - base and lyric writer (master)
Hey Joey, I love this. Watching your reactions to Pink Floyd does my heart good. Thank you for bringing this music back from years ago for your audience. Pink Floyd were ahead of their time I think. I grew up listening to this music and I loved it so much. To have a young man like you discovering their music and re-introducing it to the community just makes me really happy. Thanks much friend. Anyone who likes Floyd is a friend of mine. You should listen to Animals, and The Wall albums if you ever are bored and are looking for something good to listen too.
I was amazed hearing this album way back in the 70’s when it first came out and it still is one of my favourites. But it is just so good to see and hear someone getting the same feeling as I did way back them, I am sure it will live with you for as long as it has with me
John Gibbin exactly.
Totally Agree!!
At 17 years old (1973) One year after this album was released, I was at a club that was 100% soul music, R&B, Northern Soul etc and I would never listen to any other music genres. So, I walked a girl home to her apartment, the first girl I knew that had her own place. At the front door she asked me If I had heard 'Dark Side Of The Moon' and 'did I want to come in and listen to it'......UM! Let me think.... A beautiful young lady.....Coffee.....and ??.....hang on a minute...Rock Music? 'Let me think'.....'Yeah sure, I would love to hear it. This album was played non stop for the next three days and nights on a tiny record deck next to her bed. Sadly, we broke up a few years later. Do I like it now? Yes, seen them four times and the visuals are as good as the music. In 1988 CBS records offered me Bruce Springsteen BORN IN THE USA tour tickets, with hospitality etc etc. I called my wife and told her 'but I am not a fan' her reaction was 'TAKE THEM TAKE THEM' So I went to the gig at Wembley stadium and my jaw was on the floor for the next three and a half hours...WOW! Moral of the story is....open your doors to the unknown, you never know whats inside.
Yeah man. I used to play this on my earphones every night when I went to sleep. This album set the record for consecutive weeks on the billboard top 200. Something like 15 years!

Check out Echoes by Pink Floyd. Its a 23 and a half minute masterpiece.
Live at Pompeii !
I mean, if you must have Echoes in a video, then do the one synched up to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
yep..seen yrs ago..badass!
Greatest tune they ever made
Wow man, even if I'm over 50 and I've grown with this music, you made me realize how SOULFUL this album is!! Thanks!!
It’s confirmed your my favourite channel love from the uk 🇬🇧 lovely to see someone finding pink floyd it’s just amazing can’t wait for more
You should check out a song called "too many humans" by another one of a kind artist, Buckethead.
Rick Wright was the keyboardist and pianist until his unfortunate death a few years ago from pancreatic cancer. We miss you..
These albums came out when I was pre-teen and teenager, I thought they were brilliant, but couldn't get a lot of my friends to listen to them, they were the one's that just went from one song to the next, they didn't stop. It's fun to see someone developed a love for this music.
Joey, can you believe this came out in 1973? Hard to believe how far ahead of it's time it was.
I disagree. It was the greatest album from an era of great albums. There is nothing even close to it being made today.
knarf it's still in top 200 albums being sold today. lmao.
Really, not that hard to believe. There was a lot of fantastic music that came out of the 70s, but agree they were way ahead of their time. Rush and Moody Blues also come to mind.
Darrell Waller pure musical talent. No SFX.
Jeannette Wheeler thank you for reminding me about the Moody Blues.
Alan Parsons engineered this. Check out some of his solo work too. Some great stuff like “Wouldn’t Want Be Like You.” Old school groove
If this song doesn't make you tear up and want to hug your fellow humans, you're beyond hope.
Floyd, music for the soul...one of UK's finest!
Moody Blues Knights in white satin
Great choice
Definitely check out The Moody Blues. In Search of the Lost Chord is my favorite album by them. Worth listening to.
'Nights in white satin', is from their Days Of Future Past album, and is another story that should be listened to from start to finish. Masterpiece.
lmao that was the next group I was going to suggest to Joey.
Dark side of the moon.. Top selling albums of all time for a reason Joe
I can't describe the joy it brings me to see you hearing this music for the first time and enjoying it the way I first did as a young man in the 1970's. Thanks for sharing!
Been listening to this song for 30 years - it's like the first time all over again listening to Joey - gives you a new appreciation
So satisfying to see the love for Pink Floyd. I got this album for Christmas when I was 11. Well actually I got Lighthouse and my brother got Pink Floyd. He went in his room, played it, said "Too heavy for me, man." Swap made. I literally wore the record out and had to replace it with fresh vinyl
A great anti-war song.
right ! perfect !
always upvote anti war
It’s deeper than war, who is the enemy?
@@clarissamorais370 Us. And, of course, them.
I am a
Caucasian dude in sweden, watching some random american dude in an apartment - discover the first band i fell in love with. CZcams is deep.
I'm listening to Pink Floyd...no wait, I'm watching a video on CZcams....no wait, I'm watching a man experience Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd has done it once again and taken me to another dimension, broken the third wall and I am sitting with this man as he discovers the pure ecstasy of The Dark Side of the Moon. Every note has a meaning, every song has a reason, every transition a purpose.
I love how you react to Pink Floyd's beautiful music. I was in my preteen years when I discover P.F. , back then my mind struggle to comprehend how such an amazing sound was actually created by human beings, to me, being so young at the time, it must've being created by beings from another world, lol...OK, I was like, 13 yrs old with a vivid imagination, lol..
Sounds weird. But I know just what you mean. It, and Tangerine Dream, got me like that. Music like that just couldn't come from mere humans. It was a kind of letdown when I started to find out about the guys in the band.
I have since come to the conclusion that the greatest art is much bigger than, and will exist independently, of its creator. Who cares that Mozart was an annoying little tosser, Dali was an arrogant bigot, etc... - they have gone and the art they left us is all that matters. Or, put simply, "Great art transcends its creator".
Do a review on their animals album 👌
ill do that one next.. listening to the "Dark Side Of The Moon" right now
Wish You Was Here is so far better aLBUM than Animal. The Wall Album is better than Animals .
iansfunvids that's just your opinion it doesn't make it fact that's just your taste compared to others
Don't rush Joey, take your time. There's no rush, as PF won't be making any new albums. I listened to DSOTM for at least 2 years before I ever moved on to another album.
can't wait for you to review Dogs. David Gilmour did his thing with the guitar work and singing on that track.
Every time i listen to Pink Floyd it’s like my first time. I get goosebumps and i even cry. It takes you away. It’s music for the soul.
Pink Floyd mixed blues, soul, jazz, and funk so delicately that they created a timeless sound that rings through the ages.
Listen to Santana-Soul sacrifice (live at Woodstock 69)
Pedro Augusto hell yeah!
An insane performance indeed.
long version that keeps the drum solo
That's Thanos' song.. oh my mad too soon? too soon?
The drummer!!
DSOTM was engineered by the great Alan Parsons - who was only like 20 years old at the time, and won a Grammy nomination for his work on the album. He was also responsible for recruiting Clare Torry (the female singer on Great Gig In The Sky).
It's so great to see how younger people react to music that was my life in my early teenage years, and that I have loved all of my life. Still remember every note like yesterday. Shows that we had godd taste then and still do, and that Pink Floyd will always be legendary!!
Dude is the little brother we all wish we had ... GOD he makes this older man HAPPY!!!
Pink Floyd and a fat one rolled up. Yes please.
You REALLY need to listen to the entire album straight through, and I don't mean in a youtube playlist. I mean buy the CD and sit down with good headphones and listen straight through. It's really a single piece of music that is best appreciated in one sitting.
WOW! 45 years later, I Still remember Every word!!! Your reactions are Priceless, and Soooo Awesome!!! Timeless Joy in Much of the music back when, with Amazing talent I Hope to see emerge again before I leave this planet, but Until then, my heart is full seeing you,& so many young people appreciating Our Greats!!! Thank you!!!
It thrills me to my soul to see people reacting to Pink Floyd for the first time. So, so glad that you love them as much as I do (and I'm 70 and saw them in concert---still play them constantly!) Thank you for showing your feelings so willingly and the comment about being therapy is one of the best I've heard.
I love your reactions, I'm from Mexico
(My English is bad, sorry :s)
Rubbish, your english is good. De un hermano Ingles, un abrazo.
Music has no language barrier. Lots of love.
The Dark Side Of The Moon is one of my top 10 most favorite albums!... :)
My uncle bought me my first album in the 70"s, to this day they remain my favorite band of all time, they touch my soul
Your videos help me relive the Floyd, it just reminds of the first listening thats always always always special to be transported away again by this music, thankyou.
Whats your favorite Pink Floyd song ?
Echoes
I'm enjoying this album reaction. My favorite song of theirs is "Shine On You Crazy Diamond". Easily one of the best constructed rock songs in history. 25 minutes of Beethoven level brilliance. Their next album, "Wish You Were Here", is my favorite album of theirs.
wish you were here
thank you so much!
i cant wait to hear that one
Joey if you really want your mind blown, play the whole Dark Side of the Moon album while watching the Wizard of Oz. Press play on the first song when the MGM lion roars for the third time and let it play through. Its synchronized. Its wild. That would make for one hell of a reaction video. You'll love it.
Jordan Page I thought it was second roar? Just CZcams dark side of oz
Can you imagine hearing this for the 1st time at this young mans age...classic reaction.,,,I chill for him....the Floyd is for everyone...timeless!!
Pink Floyd has always been my "Go To" music when life gives me a beating. It is truly a privilege to observe somebody listening to Pink Floyd for the first time. There always be a cultural divide between black and white. Pink Floyd is a bridge of understanding. We all enjoy it.
After digging your reactions to this and other genres of music, I want to get a beer, or coffee or whatever, and have a conversation with you. I'm pretty sure it would be a good use of time.
It’s a beautiful song but the lyrics are actually pretty dark. It’s about war.
All of them, that question is impossible to answer I would say Shine on You Crazy Diamond Part 1 through 9 just because it is the longest song all of them are Masterpieces
deeper then war or who is the enemy????? nephilim
gatmanaug not sure what a demiangel has to do with it but ok
Welcome to the dark side of the moon. Everything’s beautiful, but truly twisted. Nothings as it seems.
Rodger Waters lost his father in WW2 and it affected him very much, including his music. The reference to For the price of tea and a slice, the old man died, is just one example. Much of the wall is also shaped by his experience being raised by his mother. This song apparently was inspired to some degree by the story of how the German and Allied troops in WW1 trenches spontaneously stopped fighting on Christmas Eve and exchanged presents, Just ordinary men , who if they had their choice would not be there.
Therapy to the Soul.....so true !!
Most beautiful song ever written about war/conflict.
Just sub'd. I like your reviews. You make good observations, but the main reason I sub'd is because you keep the language clean. That's a huge plus.
Listen to Dogs by them
Yeah, man. Dogs is its own special trippe!
Unless your'e barking up the wrong tree ~ woof-woof
Good Choice.
WuWei1967 dogs will blow u away
Alex James man I have probably heard dogs about a hundred times uptill now.
It's a beautiful thing watching someone discover Pink Floyd. Welcome to the club brother.
I love that keyboard solo by Richard Wright. this is one of the best songs
welcome to the machine joey will blow your mind
My favrit
Just think, this album was on the Billboard charts for over 14 straight years, or some crazy assed time. Look it up on Wikipedia. This album is still on the charts in 2011. That is totally insane but great.
I remember reading that there was one DSOTM album for every person in England.
I play this song at night right before going to bed, and everything melts away.
I been listening to this album for some 47 years never gets old! Pink Floyd fan since 1967!
I don't know where you live..but around my area..their is a tribute cover band...called "Wish You We're Here" if you ever get a chance check them out..it's as close to being able to "experience" Pink Floyd live in the now! The shows are great and they sound exactly the same..and talk about powerful female vocals..wow!
Lisa Patch
Going to a Roger Waters concert is infinitely better.
Originals are always going to be better...but around here, the tribute band plays often, and it's easy to get tickets and to see them perform...
Dark Side of OZ.
Dave delivers the lyrics with such a warm, easy, comforting voice, it tricks you at first. Only when you go past that the lyrics can sink in, the message becomes clear.
"Play them keys!" RIP Richard Wright.
Dark side of the moon best soul album ever ? ! Whoda thunk it . Best of the UK. Best from the u.k:) keep on digging keep on enjoying.
Best soul album goes to Young Americans.
whatcha gotta do is sync up this album to the wizard of oz on the 3rd lion roar it will blow your mind lol
This album has always been my favorite, I think of it as the long arduous journey of a dude descending into a slow and agonizing madness, anyone who has ever been depressed or anxious can easily identify with this music, for me personally though, just knowing that I am not alone is the best therapy ever.
I absolutely love your reactions to Pink Floyd. They have always been my favorite group. Like you said, we can feel the emotions coming thru. Love you too Joey Daprince ❤️
You need to get into the Wish You Were Here and Animals albums.
defiantly gone check it out ! ... currently doing the "dark side of the moon" album
And meddle. One of these days and Echoes are two fantastic songs.
And "Piper at the Gates of Dawn" when Syd Barrett was in the band. Probably their most underrated album.
Charlie Sutton Echoes is my favorite song ever but it's one big react video hahahaha
psychedelicpiper in my opinion syd Barretts perspectives are almost too psychedelic. Piper at the gates of dawn is beautiful if you’re tripping, but sober I can never get that feeling I would get when tripping.
U got to hear Marooned, bro
Yes definitely :-) beautiful
I love how you hear and appreciate the music; music from my childhood that you are discovering. I love Pink Floyd, and am glad you found them!
Every crescendo in this song brings emotion. It’s like I’m hearing it fir the first time again watching you.
I so enjoyed your reaction man ! Everyone should have a little Floyd in their life ! Ya you should smoke a fatty and listen to the full album in its entirety !
Listen to Deep Purple-Mistreated
Rainbow: Live In Japan Mistreated.
‘Up and down, but in the end it’s only round and round.’ That’s life
Music...the Universal language, that speaks to all hearts. Once "Pink Floyd" hits you there's no turning back. David Gilmour is a "Guitar God"
Not bad for march 1 1973
I love this guy a black man loving pink Floyd that's FN awsome #!
Music is my life and this album has been an absolute necessity to melt into when I'm having a "Pink Floyd" kind of day!!
Can't imagine how different my life would be if there had never been the music that is "Pink Floyd."
Love, Love, Love watching you "FEEL" the soothing magic.
I was listening to Pink Floyd while "Sid" was still there and before "David" showed up. All the was through they have been my favorite band. All of the songs on the Dark side Of The Moon blend from one song to another.Love it man!!!
You seem to be missing listening to the lyrics...
He's feeling the song which is probably what happens to most the first time they listen to Pink Floyd..
@@sukie584 The lyrics are essential to both meaning AND feeling. If you listen to a Pink Floyd song, without listening to the lyrics, you are essentially missing a huge part of the song. Pink Floyd are renowned for their lyrics.
you are of course right but everyone jumps on these react people the first time out. PF is new to him. educate as you did in your response to me... too many get a bit annoyed sounding in their responses if they're not doing exactly expected. I get it.. one of react people completely left out the scream in Won't Get Fooled Again. I had to comment on that!
Pink Floyd is a band of repeat listening... the first couple run throughs you pick up the beutiful... aweness of it, it takes a couple listens to really start picking up on the lyrics, so it is inevitable that he is missing out on part of the experience of Pink Floyd, as it's just a first listening.
Us and them , just one of my all time faves! This song has such a deep seated feel to it, candor, honesty , empathy, can you feel it?
I eyes literally well with tears seeing how much you enjoy this music. Music of my youth
