The Serene is a beast at $45, the tall full flat ground blade glides effortlessly through cardboard. It and the Civivi Qubit are my favorite budget knives of 2023 so far.
You should see the Serene in the new Green with black blade. Just got it and it's awesome!
WE/Civivi/Sencut are just killing it.

man i cant wait till christmas now because i will be getting a button lock knife lol i love how they work since it hurts my thumb to use the liner locks lol
You’re missing the fact the civivi used a lot of 14c and nitro-v instead of a 9 or 10 cr mix. They use micarta more than sencut where it’s mainly g10. Better bearings. There are a bunch of improvements, not just the markings.
Yeah but those are the ones that are more expensive. That’s why civivi came out with sencut so they can focus on the ones your speaking about.
Civivi doesn’t have many knives under 40. The praxis & a couple others are still around but phasing out. Or being remade with higher end materials
It won't matter to everyone, but another thing you get with Civivi is a D-shaped pivot. Sencut, you gotta hold the pivot with one tool while you loosen it with another. And... I'm sorry, but it's VesperON, not VesperEON.

I wish you could buy them in the UK. US Amazon has some excellent budget blades nowadays. These would all be $60-70 in the UK

I considered it..but true defensive knives are not really my area.
Note that the Civivi pivot collar also has a tab to capture it. The Sencut knives have free-spinning pivots. There is usually enough friction for it not to matter but I had an issue with their steel framelock. BTW, they do an industry-best heat treatment on their 9Cr18Mov so edge retention may be better than people expect. The big question now is what kind of heat treatment Kizer will do on it in their new Laconic line that is priced to compete with these. While the Laconic line looks more basic, they have captured pivots and at least some run multi-row bearings...
the Asticus black right now is $39 as a button lock..so its a good time to find out.
@@maxlvledc From Kizer's new Laconic line, I had "The Swedge" apart and it definitely runs multi-row bearings. I'll get their Seahorse taken apart later this week. I can let you know what I find.
Hey what happened! I thought REI was going to have the Leatherman Arc out today?? For sale
par for the course...I figured it could have been changed. When I ordered mine they said 25th, but it appears its more likely toward that 18th of oct date.

youre totally missing it...I would never buy the Civivi.....NO THUMBSTUDS. Thats what keeps me buying ALL the Sencuts. WAY better for me.
and yeah i love the looks of CIVIVI allot and man i really want a button lock so bad its driving me crazy im just happy i got my CRJB fledspar finnaly and man i love the natrual G10 look

lol yes sir my CRJB feldspar just showed up today im so happy lol but yeah i love it with the natrul G10 handle i really really do love it and yeah i want a button lock so bad so once i get money again i will be buying a button lock lol and i do like CIVIVI knifes allot but yeah i will be buying a button lock knife at some point man thanks so much for showing us these knifes so i know which ones to buy
wow yeah that all black button lock knife i will be getting it next month or for christmas lol i cant wait man im so excited to buy more knifes now for a button lock the price isnt bad at all but yeah my next knife im getting is going to be the GANZO F351M1 thanks to your videos i know to grab that one because i have small hands i want the G lock as well so thanks so much for making these video so next knife is GANZO and then ill get this knife the button lock one so yeah unless CIVIVI lowers the price for there button lock knifes then ill get there knife but for now as long as this knife is under 50 dollars for a button lock im happy lol
