I love how tired Venom's version sounds. As if he was annoyed at the request.
It might even be him being weirded out by it, since it's probably the first time he says it "in character"
And i think it could support that theory that the first couple missions are not real/partially not real, and that could be a way to solidify the idea of being Big Boss into Venom's head, or to test if it's all going well, like a baseline test from Blade Runner (although probably not since Kaz wasn't in on it at that point, but never doubt Cipher's conspiracy capabilities)

And then Konami made it into metal gear money eater
And MGS5 ended up being one of the biggest betrayals to the franchise. No where near as offensive as Survive, but still.
More time has passed between MGSV and now than the release of MGS4 & V. Damn
@@cincameron What makes you say that? I understand it was the biggest gameplay departure but i still tremendously enjoyed it as a lifelong mgs fan
@@tpammt8276 I mean, it's pretty well known that MGSV's problem iss definitely NOT the gameplay. And it's pretty well known that the game was severely lacking in the story department compared to other MGS games. I mean... didn't you notice the lack of story & several missing plot pieces? No? as a lifelong fan didn't you notice the tremendous gameplay > story ratio?

True when that part came on I wasn’t expecting it and it gave me the goosebumps but not in a good way. I can only hear keifer when I see msgv bb.
It’s because of the different tones. Keifer says it stoically and seriously. And his face matches that. While David’s voice line was more jokey. So it looks weird when he says it with no expression

After the MGS3 Remake trailer, I'm here just to confirm my memory, if Snake's headband looked weird back in the day, like if he is perpetually angry with the bandana "frowning"... and yep, in MGS4 the bandana looks like that. Man... idk, this looks so goofy, the bandana is so goddamn tight, it's shaped like Snake's forehead
It's part of art direction. The character designer (Yoji Shinkawa) always put that kind of texture in almost all Snake concept art.
@@swordsman1137 That's the thing, the concept art in "2D" that looks like anime, it's a different thing (it's named "concept" for a reason). I and many others are not really used with MGS4, we saw footage and etc.. but to actually play it, not the majority of fans actually did that... and the anime bandana is noticeable on MGS4, but on everything else (even MGSV), the bandana looks like a piece of cloth, as it should be. The bandana having a "angry" expression... c'mon now, it looks weird. The Snake in the Remake trailer is modeled in a realistic way, but he is wearing a anime bandana, these visuals clashes with each other imo
@Yugee Iconic is a strong word, considering the anime bandana only showed up in MGS4. It appears in all the other MGS games through concept art, I give you that, but the in-game model is only a thing in MGS4. So, to play a remake of MGS3, who is one of the most "realistic" game of the series, with this weird bandana... idk, it looks too goofy and tryhard even for MGS standards

Say what you want but Keifer had the best Big Boss voice. David had Solids voice forsure, he is Solid Snake but Keifer to me will be Big Boss, even though it wasn't the real Big Boss. Know what I mean? I like the dudes voice. It fits.
For me: Michael Ironside/Richard Doyle Old Big Boss
David Hayter: Big Boss, Solid Snake
Kiefer Sutherland: Venom Snake

Both are truly amazing in their roles. Kiefer definitely does Snake’s FOX Engine model justice, I just can’t hear David’s voice fitting as well as his.
