Naked Snake vs Ocelot: MGS 3:Snake Eater
😎👍
Every cutscene in V when Boss TKO everybody. In one breath. Skulls? Pussy. Quiet? Pussy. Eli? He have lucky to be alive. ..."HEY! SAHAL... SAHALE... HEY REX! COM FIGHT !!
In metal gear solid 4 when big boss CQCs snake into a fucking hug
@@TerryTurner Solid Snake VS Liquid Ocelot in MGS4 final 😎👍
MGS 3 shows my fav. cqc
Snake uses cqc on people, raiden uses cqc on mechs
Flipping Metal Gear Excelsus...
Snake is better
There’s already been videos made on why and how Snake (solid) would be Raiden in combat
@@tyleraguilar2474 cope
Probably because he is mech🤣
10:42 The ultimate move of CQC: Lay down your own weapon, suppress your opponent's attack and embrace him, in order to stop conflict.
Close quarters cuddling
That's... actually pretty meaningful. It never occurred to me to interpret the scene that way.
Very fitting, considering that it's the very end of MGS. That's how you put an end to it all.
because you learned your lesson the last time you held that gun in a field of white flowers and did something unspeakable "for the mission and your country"
Oh god, yes. :')
Close Quarter Comfort
4:30 Snakes grin after Ocelot hits his bad eye will never cease to amuse
I’ve replayed the game 5 times in my X360, definitely my favorite one, and only now I see what was it exactly that made snake grin when Ocelot hit him. Thank you
Ultimate rizz
The smuggest grin in all video games.
@@Anonymous529 isnt it play station exclusive though?
@@Anonymous529 right I forgot
Eli getting his tiny ass thrown to the floor by Ocelot always makes me laugh out loud
hit em with the CQC push
"I'm here to see big mama" Most profound MGS quote
Very impressive CQC.
Then the stupid goons positioned themselves to be at risk of friendly crossfure
Almost as deep as Snake wondering what Metal Gear is, after beating others Metal Gears before
@@FonchoVidal that's because he forgor 💀
The fact snake recognized Johnny in MGS4 was the most hilarious thing ever, "How the hell'd YOU ever survive 10 years?"
I knew that was it,even if I didn't play the games!
no , its because johnny said he survive 10 yrs to snake .
@@IzzulsyahmiI think he remembered him cause it even shows the flashback
Only one of them hits hard enough to make a grown man cry.
o7
Snake try to remember some of the basics of cqc
Mgs 4 ending
F o7
Cqc hug :,)
The Boss just going ”Stay out of this!” is just so badass!
They all do CQC a little differently. The Boss focuses on disarming and countering. Big Boss/Naked Snake uses a lot of punches. Ocelot/Liquid likes using knives and weapons. And Solid even incorporates his iconic spin kick at 8:12
Thats a brutal kick when it lands even irl 😬
I would say solid is the one punching. Big boss uses throws much more.
Ocelot is really The Boss' child. Unlike the Snakes, especially the clones, they were known to be on a superhuman level. But all we know initially about Ocelot is he's a trained spy and skilled with guns. But his MGS3 incarnation until his death in MGS4 showed that he's a fast learner and highly flexible just like the Boss was.
And son of the
Sorrow.
His father!
(Mgs 3)
I'm honestly shocked that Quiet single-handedly tearing through a whole squad of Soviets with her hands literally tied behind her back and then freeing herself didn't make the cut.
She wasn't using CQC, tho. :D
She used her super-human abilities more than hand-to-hand tecniques
It didn't show Old Snake VS Liquid Ocelot final fight too, maybe the scenes were too lengthy
@@CrashD6 Yeah I think that scene alone is like 10 minutes
3:47 always makes me laugh because he recalls the boss telling him to remember the basics, right at the end of the game.
Man, when number 1 showed up, tears just started rolling down my face.
I sincerely hope you're a woman
@@richspeck8932 Think again, buddy.
@@MrAxedead Well then at least you should wish you were if a video game made you cry. And if you really didn't and just used it as an exaggeration of what really happened, there's plenty of other analogies and metaphors that don't make you look like a bitch
@@richspeck8932 I think you should maybe wonder why an emotional piece of media doesn't make you a little emotional, but hey everybody is different I suppose.
@@MrAxedead An emotional piece of media? What are you a computer? No, video games don't make me cry because I'm an adult
Old Snake putting Johnny on his ass in MGS4 as well as Naked Snake vs. Ocelot in MGS3 both were the best CWC moments in Metal Gear Solid lore
you forgot the best one, the one from the title screen in mgs3
lol
The one with Ocelot and Old Snake in the river tunnel will always be one of my favorites. Its so well choreographed and when you slow it down and analyze it, the animations are still top notch. The cigar deflecting off the solid eye will always always be a cool way to start.
And then the cigar falling onto the ground when ocelot beats old snake to show how fast he was
@@hylianroAnd while Ocelot may claim to have the "upperhand" in terms of CQC because he is playing as liquid, he don't actually have the upperhand against snake who is a super soldier. Meaning, while their speed was being equalized because Snake at this point is suffering from accelerated aging while Ocelot is actually an oldman, it's more of the skill embedded on Ocelot as a practitioner of the CQC that "beaten" Snake there at that moment. Snake may beat him in a prolonged and undisturbed fight like what happened in the ending but Ocelot skills should be enough to take down the Snakes if given a chance to "Surprise" them.
You are truly the biggest MGS fan with that last one :)
❤
Maaan, it's been years since I've played any of these games and I'd forgotten just how well-choreographed these scenes are.
the moments of actual martial arts in video game made me love this series more.
Feel like they should be performing at higher speeds to really showcase the fact that these are the best warriors on Earth, capable of going toe to toe with super enhanced individuals. John Wick & Captain America are more impressive in that regard. But I'll cut Metal Gear Solid some slack as it's a pretty old franchise.
As it stands though, MGS 4 & 5 are the only ones with some good CQC scenes. An exception goes to Naked Snake vs The Boss in MGS 3 because that one was pretty fast paced & decently choreographed. The rest were kinda mid. Ocelot's gunplay was fun though, but that wasn't CQC.
#4 had a great lesson for Eli concerning the not broken and only dislocated arm. A bit of a Phantom clue with Venom's knowledge of anatomy (if you choose to read into it that way). I was disappointed that Eli wasn't taught some sweet headbutt CQC, as alluded to...but hey Kojima productions had a deadline to meet.
ya know thats a really good point
Big boss is good but even he needed guidance on patching himself up
Venom though
kinda just does it on instinct
@@pennyhero7873wasn’t he the medic in the helicopter at the end of ground zeroes? Surely he’d know some first aid and patching up wounds. He also had big boss’ memories at this time, who definitely knows first aid at the time phantom pain starts
the #1, still hits me in the feels...
5:34 just everything about this is hilarious. Snake effortlessly disarming and throwing Volgin to the ground, and then the Boss somehow putting even LESS effort into it less than a minute later
Snake's knife deflect and his fall recoveries were smooth, though.
It's an improvement since getting his hand stepped on by The Boss' horse at the start of Op. Snake Eater.
The best CQC scene in mgs is the cutscene in 5 when you have low morale and Venom stops two Mother Base soldiers from fighting
Oh man. I loved this video. Every moment you guys listed are some of my absolute favorites.
Volgin being legit scared and tossed on his ass by The Boss is my favorite thing in the MGS franchise.
One would think that _Thunderbolt_ being in charge (and his reputation) would make The Boss "heel" to him, but nope. Maybe she gave the illusion of being on the same side, but even Volgin knew that he couldn't beat her on his absolute best day.
Seeing The Boss and her CQC make me nostalgic and wonder if she is my favorite character in the franchise. She's a close #2 to Venom Snake for me though.
Thanks for the upload. I needed something awesome to watch on my lunch break and you guys came through. ✊️
That's an awesome description 👏 Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts! We're glad to have been of company 😄
Have a great day! 👊
- P&S
venom and ocelot(and BB on ocelot) using the same moves on Eli that Snake and Liquid Ocelot would go on to use in IV is pretty amazing as well.
Using CQC for a tender embrace truly is number 1
“what you gonna learn is how to use your head”. MGS in a nutshell.❤
The big boss and snake fight at the end of MGS 4 is thd most powerful fight seen of the franchise. It just ends it all, " timeto let go and live"
8:56
Snake: I'm mugging you.
Ocelot: With that stance?
I understood that reference
@@hannibalburgers477 I waited a month for your reply. Thank you.
I hoped for that first place for the whole video, after all the best cqc move is a hug
God this hit me so hard. Metal Gear has been my favorite series of all time for close to two decades and was something my best friend and I lived and breathed since we were kids. Seeing these highlights brought me right back to being 12 and marathoning MGS 3 and 4 with him. God the last one, oh man, “let it go my son” gets me every time. Thank you for this
Perfect number 1!!! An amazing end to it all. The greatest MGS of all was 4.
Every scene where venom does CQC is the best, he just fucking rocks his opponent in the most efficient way possible
Best move ever, the cqc hug your son attack
Motosada Mori is a genius
I think the ultimate show of cqc was the mgs 4 final battle, the cutscene breaks leading to the next phase is simply epic
Number one Close Quarters Cuddle
Last one: a CQC to surpass fear and hate
Este es el mejor video que he visto en mi vida en YT, me hiciste sacar muchos recuerdos y lagrimas de nostalgia por tan apreciados juegos de Metal Gear!!
7:30-8:51
I like how Snake mixes up his CQC with other martial art forms.
I like to believe that Solid Snake in his prime was a force to reckon and only a rare few can challenge him. Those would be Big Boss, Venom Snake along with Gray Fox were the only ones that could go toe to toe with him in
Awesome. Kept you waiting, huh? 待たせたな。/Mata Setana.
By the way, I heard the Ending of MGS4 was made due to a falling out with the Japanese father and son who did the voices of Solid Snake and old Big Boss: Akio Otsuka and his late father Chikao Otsuka. When Kojima heard about this, he decided to patch things up by having Chikao Otsuka do the voice of Big Boss from MGS4.
4:20 Ocelot trying to poke Snake's eye only to realize that he doesnt have one there anymore because he accidently shot him there before and Snake grinning was priceless. 😂
Honestly i found the cutscene for the final fight with Liquid Ocelot in MGS 4 to be the best, too bad its not here.
Ngl MGS should have finished in 4, another game was unnecessary however if Kojima and his team had the time and allowed to make the game how they wanted i wonder how MGS 5 would have turned out.
5:34 really one of the best cutscenes in MGS3
Snake trounces Volgin in one move, deapite having a gun pointed at his face, and doesnt even make a grunt
Boss shows up and immediately closes the distance in a split second
Snake actually disarms her knife, showing he was improving vs how easily he was beaten in the Virtuous Mission
Boss disarms his gun but doesnt have enough time to completely dismantle it, again because Snake is improving
She thriws Snake down, but he takes the opportunity to attack her even while down to give himself space to get back up
She blocks his attack and tries to grapple, but he breaks out of it and immediately follows up with his own, once again Snake is showing his immense improvement
Boss breaks out of the grapple, and only then does Boss manage to mess him up and get the upper hand
All this in a matter of seconds!
Bonus: Boss trouncing Volgin, her own host, in one move as well, and the shot of Boss standing in the center with three incapacitated men around her. Cinema.
Keep up the great content, boss!
Got chills watching this.
The Boss beating up Volgin in an instant is so epic. She really let Snake win.
Metal Gear Solid 1, 2, 3 or 4 deserved a remake WAY more than The Last of Us Part 1 ever did.
CQC hug is the ULTIMATE move.
Big boss CQCs snake into a hug
Man!! This was awesome 💪
I'm still impressed how they made the graphics for MGS4 so extremely well on less than 720p resplution on a console with a quarter of gigabyte of memory. Made me obsessed with the PS3 at the time. Way ahead of it's time and in my opinion way better than MGS5 on the PS3 version.
Ocelot and snake was probably the most CQC used in one take as opposed to big boss and solid snake. But I can see why BB n SS is number 1
The final battle from MGS4 was i think the best CQC moment in the hole game !! "SHOOOOOW MEEEE WHAAAT YOUU VE GOOOT SNAKE" Says Liquid Ocelot before fighting the legendary Liquid Snake !!
Hug is the best CQC technique 💚 ☮️
Dam the last one hits hard
In Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker there was a moment when Snake got caught up with Dr. Strangelove. In order to pick up the access card, you had to go through a qte battle. And there the player could take part in the CQC Moment
Wow that really the number 1 as I remember 2008 I cry for that scene when I watch that because the old soild snake finally find piece before he die also for big boss 😢
Top 1. Certified Quality Cuddle.
CQC Hug will always be the best.
Just seeing any scene out of MGSV just hurts my soul....the thought of what could've been....WHY ARE WE HERE?!?.....JUST SO SUFFER?!??!?! 😭
Rly? how did you forget about MGS 4 ending fight with Liquid... i get that it's your opinion but it's impossible that it didnt make to TOP 10 when on the last spot of your list is moment with disarming Johnny. For me scene with Liquid is at least Top 2 so on what spot would you consider it to be?
Easily top 10, I'm as baffled as you are
I mean only the first 10 seconds where CQC but i got you
Maybe the scene was too lengthy, it is a long fight after all, or it could be considered "spoiler" but then again, the top 1 is THE most spoilerific scene ever, so...
“Its called close quarters combat. A basic form of close quarters combat”
Man,before john wick we have big boss, venom snake, solid snake and big mama.
One thing I enjoy about your channel is that you post things that you enjoy therefore your audiences will love your content.
Keep on keeping on solider...
When old snake got his ass whooped by CQC hug , he already knew he was big boss. No other person left on mgs4 who can be that effective on CQC excluding Liquid and Big boss. I like how they mixed that scene. Talking about philosophy.
Old snake being tired of fight, giving up to big boss and drop his weapon as a way to let go all his past, while being on a graveyard. Like that part they both died big boss as the legend that he was and old snake as a soldier. What a badass scene :)
MGS 4: The Guns of the Patriots... How I'd dare forget that epic ending in the graveyard. Two Living-Legends meets again only for the last encounter & it's not to fight or get revenge....
That f*cking bastard of Hojima really make a GREAT STORY, I can't hold my tears when I watch this Ending... Sorry dude, I can't contain myself.
Big boss & solid snake 😢
Metal gear one of the best story series ever
Ocelot dislocated his own arm 20 years before it was even his to begin with
Mgs1-3-4
Eternally engraved in memories
I still remember some of the frequency’s
the last scene with Big Boss is beautiful
I just watch this on repeat 😆
Such an epic video 👍
Thank you so much! 😊🐍

My favorites are Ocelot's palm heel strike to Eli's chest and Big Boss disarming Snake into a hug.
The number 1 always makes me cry
In the end the best CQC movement was a hug...
My favorite was always when boss disarms naked snake and throws his gun at him. Hilarious
CONSECUTIVE
C....... Q....... C.........
raiden supplexing a metal gear technically counts as CQC
At 4:07 (and the next seconds) : some of the moves in this fight are also made in the final fight in MGS4 (Snake vs Liquid Ocelot). I just noticed, and I feel soooo rewarded :o
Mgs1 twin snakes after you defeat gray fox has a pretty kick ass cqc scene. Thought for sure that would be here
That thumbnail go crazyyy
Ocelot was definitely a prodigy and quick learner
2:26 Ocelot, watch out for that arm, you're gonna need it.
6:24 Snake having a mental breakdown on the floor... I can't 🤣🤣
I like how snake had his bandana on under his mask lol
I'm surprised Liquid's arms still function after the amount of times he got his ass beat on Mother Base
El final es épico, siempre se me eriza la piel al verlo 🥲 saludos
mgs 1-5 my fav game series ever ( masterpieces)
Did anyone else cry with the CQC hug technique?
Love it!
Snake really needed that hug at the end
Ah yes the best cqc move of them all...hug.
after so many years, I realized that CQC might not be a realistic or practical self defence technique......but it is one hell of a cinematic technique.
You do realize that cqc is real and very practical right?
It's not exactly cinematic like seen in these games however
@@hylianro no, most of it is pretty absurd and wouldn't work in real combat, but Hideo managed to make it look very believable because it's quite minimalistic compared to other fighting styles in games.
@vincentlaw1415 Half of these were judo tosses. Don't think judo is effective? You've never been judo tossed if that's the case
@@justsomedudeyoukno6696 In MGS5 yes, it's mostly Judo, at least the throws. But all the weapon manipulation and stuff is pretty over the top. It's more the general choriography that wouldn't work out like that.
The fact big boss still had his bandana on under that mask 🤭
Damn that #1 hit "Dave" enough to make him cry
Even with no muscle memory, Ahab "Venom Snake, the Biggest Boss" the medical professional somehow does CQC on quiet
Try to remember the basics of CQC: the hug.
The ending 😢
Even after getting his arm broken Ely still is stubborn
