too much product advertising, I love your built very impressive
We found out the hard way that you really need to keep vents for fans and dryers as short as possible.
The volume of air coming out is not strong enough to travel long distances and longer runs are extremely hard to clean.
I suspect that long run of flexi will be your undoing. Likely to catch moisture in each sag between brackets - and between each ring of stiffening wire - which will then freeze during the winter. The rougher interior texture will also make it that much harder for the fan to push air out efficiently. I was taught to always use rigid pipe wherever possible, but especially in areas where access will be limited, like inside a wall or soffit. Also, keeping the length to a minimum and sloping it downwards to let condensation run out is important if you don't want it freezing up over the winter.
Yes, and if they open it up to put the rigid pipe in, they should also seal up the holes around the vent and the small test hole. Otherwise critters will find their way into the wall and attic area and do tons of damage. :)
I thought they would learn, it’s already happened to them once with the condensation freezing, but hey it’s their projects and I respect that 😂. I really like this family and admire their accomplishments, here’s hoping that this never happens to the vent fan ducting🤭
That was my thougt as well. I would worry about the consdensation freezing on such a long run that is in an unconditioned space.
Ditto, my thoughts exactly I would also have put a access at the connection.
@@dorothyallen3614 It's just more content for us when they have to go back and fix things!
Being Indonesian and Javanese, i'm so proud to see those beautiful old photos, thank you Sarah 👍😊🇮🇩
Good morning! 😊
Good night 😂✌️
marty a lucky man
Water coming out will be best served by running down to keep flowing to the outside. As water cools it will condenses in the pipe and bad in the winter 🥶 you could slope it to the end using pvc but a long run you can’t keep it warm in the winter just to long.
Good morning you guys I hope you guys have a great day keep up the good work where's the barn I don't see the barn yet you guys working on debarr alright guys have a great day and be careful out there
Speed selector on the Milwaukee Drill is on the top. It’s a mechanical switch that has a 1 or 2
I have to agree with the comments on flex pipe. You will be amazed at how much dust and fuzz will collect on the edges. Solid pipe laid on a board for support and a booster fan somewhere in the middle. 😊
In unconditioned space, it needs to be insulated or the condensation will freeze in the winter and collect moisture in the summer.
Jules is hilarious she makes your day fun and entertaining
I wish you would have put some actual boxes in where the lights are going. Then you could put ceiling fans up so you could enjoy the cool breeze blowing on you while you enjoyed sitting on the front porch. AND, it keeps the mosquitos off of you since they can't fly to the blood source of their existence!
I remember the tents and now you're adding the finishing touches. You guys are an inspiration.
i think in between the house and garage empty space should Porch to park open car park, and will be easy to enter the home porch.
Flexible ducting, especially that long is a huge load on the fan. Your air flow will be exceedingly compromised. You should have used rigid ducting once out of the wall cavity. Additionally, the exterior ducting should have been insulated to reduce vapour condensing and freezing in the ducting, again reducing air flow in winter.
Seth is old enough to run a real chain saw and smart enough to safe when using it
It will be a nice addition to your house!
Marty , you may think about a ceiling fan or 2 out there on your porch for summer months
Look great. just saying
Well done. You made a lot of progress. Love your videos.
Looking good Johnsons!
Big jobs like this remind me of the old adage; How do you eat an elephant? Answer - One bite at a time.
Martin a good stud finder is a good magnate, then lightly rub it around the seams when you applied the paneling or drywall. The magnate will latch on to the nails used to put up the wall covering. No batteries to ever replace.
Magnet..
I haven't been watching for a long time wow so much progress love the kitchen island and keep using the Betty White Paint Awesome.
Great job!! Really love the photos of ya'll and seeing you all working together once again! Enjoy making the memories together..new ones to come with the wedding and all!!!! May God continue to Bless you folks!!
Great Job 👏 love the tongue and grove! Love seeing the whole family working together! ✌🏼❤️🙏🏼
Those were the cutest pictures
It should also be insulated in non conditioned spaces as it will collect moisture
Watching Tux take your “wheel” was so much fun. Every little job gets you much closer to completion. We are busy growing chicks to get our egg flock.
SETH IS GROWING UP MORE AND MORE HANDSOME. SUCH A GREAT YOUNG GENTLEMAN. LOVE YOUR FAMILY
Wow, wow, it looks so good. You guys have achieved so much in the last couple of years. I love watching your progress.
With your porch lights it would be a great idea to not have them all come on with the flip of one switch.
Split them so that you can control the ambience and areas that get lit up at one time.
The house looks very beautiful on the inside.
Bagus sekali photo canvas nya... traditional Javanese in black n white.
17:41 - You got some shadow on the SolarPanels. The right one gets it from the tree directly on the left side. The left one from the trees on the left side a bit further away. Yes it comes from the degrees where the sun now goes. In the summer i think it would better but possible you can cut some things out to get more sunshine on the panels. Every Watt counts. ;-)
yes YOUR SO RICH ..$3,000.00 for the power ele back -up// to run your saw and air , I never had the money //good buy //good luck
The porch ceiling looks great !!!
Martin! You should insulate the vent to reduce the risk of condensation in the winter...
You two are so inspiring! Can’t wait to see what you’ve done in person tomorrow! ❤
Love the porch. I would spend hours just setting on it and relaxing. I would recommend 3 or 4 ceiling fans replacing the lights in the ceiling of the porch.
Bless your heart Seth. You are a great guy !!!
Martin you should install outlets at both ends of your soffit or ceiling for decorative lights at the Holliday time and also I’d the wall at the end s and near your front door for the same reason
Love the progress beautiful home.
I think I would use rigid pipe for condensation flow.
Looking great!
All looks great good to see y'all
GOOD AFTERNOON
You guys are doing a great job!❤❤🎉🎉
Love your bee garden
The porch is looking awesome, was looking forward to the soffitt though. Ill wait...lol 😂😅 Love the Bluetti products myself, and their connectability for my off grid cabins, keep em coming! Love ya'll ❤️
❤Hello my dear friends.
I enjoy the videos normally. Watching you run an electric chainsaw with a gas generator is hilarious though. 😂
I really enjoy your show and hard work, guys. If you keep on adding to your place, perhaps the Martin Clan will build a mansion comparable to the Winchester Mansion with about 38 rooms, and Sarah Winchester was the heir who keep remodeling it.
Wow you guys are really booking along....July not that far off either YIKES!!! Love the finish on the ceiling of the deck and the lights are fantastic. God is Blessing you ALL and thank you for another great video.
Put an outlet in the Evs for decoration lights. Run to a light switch also. So it can be turned off.
If you hooked the vent to a pvc pipe you’ll get better air flow especially being a long run mor the 15’
in your bathroom vent, prevent any "valleys" in the pipe. I did what you did and ended up with a lot of condensation in the line. had to break it apart and empty it every year. Finally replaced it with pvc pipe and made sure i had a "bubble level fall"
That nail gun looks scary! I get the creeps when it‘s business end was pointed towards martin a few times…
I just subscribed to your channel, and I am very impressed with all you have accomplished
Great episode!!!
I like Ecoflow. I have the Delta Pro's. They are the "cats meow". Only problem - they only can deliver 30 amps (2 Delta Pro's).
That's gonna be a long run hopefully the fan motor has enough juice to carry air all the way through that line.
The bathroom duct extention should be hard pipe the flex pipe adds too much restrictions and uneven surface to collect moisture and dust that over time will Matt up plus hard pipe easier to support in straight line actually should be treated like drain vent lol have drop in at termination 1/8 per ft there will be moisture in venting from condensation
Suggestion check vent manufacturer and verify if there are vent distance limitations or if a inline booster fan recommended
I think it’s a great house. Loved the line, “which some of you call a mansion”…not sure about that, but I’ve raised an eyebrow a few times at the use of “cabin” to describe the house.
marty & jules, looking at those canvas pics probably made you 2 think, yesterday they kids now look at them. time flys by before you know it.👴👵
You guys got it going.
La casa está quedando muy bonita. Queda mucho por hacer. Lo estáis haciendo excelente. Todo lo que hacéis se puede aprender muy fácil con vuestra ayuda. Muchas gracias por vuestro canal. 🎉🎉❤
What kind of Spanish is that? Looks European.
Good morning 😊
You need a 16cm hole saw. Obviously a metric lamp.
Moving right along. Front porch looks really good. How did you fit the lights in the 5" hole? Maybe you didn't have to use a jigsaw to widen the hole? Thanks for sharing
You buy them toys and they just play with the box - or wood cut-outs! ha ha ha
Super gemacht
Hello, I just subscribed. I'm behind but started from the tent erra on the build. Catching up but on the 25 push up vid. From Colorado. I say Caul-er-ah-do. Middle fast. Not correct, but 41 & native.
We have 6" hole saw. Would you like us to bring it to our local CZcams meeting on Saturday?
its awesome
Nice pics
I have a battery which takes a charge ocassionally!
Sorry but you couldn't have picked the worse type of piping for the exhaust. From experience I have repaired so many of these types of installations just a few years after they were installed. Foil flex will sag & sweat with moisture hits the colder air, water will collect in the ribs, freeze even with insulation and the pipe will disintegrate very quickly. Ridgid pipe only, prefer aluminum and insulation through cold spaces, avoid long runs through cold spaces. Once there is the tiniest of holes in the foil flex moisture will collect on the underside of your OSB causing black mould and rot. I would have turned up and exhausted through the roof.
Agreed. Another potential issue I see is the fan not having the power to push air efficiently through such a long run of pipe, and especially with such a rough interior to that flexi. I suspect it's going to collect dust and moisture, which will then grow mould - and having it enclosed the the porch ceiling isn't going to make fixing it any easier.
Problem with vents through the roof in snow load areas - the snow will shear the vents right off the roof. We've had to replace every single one of our vents and go through a side wall due to the snow sliding off the roof and taking the vents / rain gutters and snow breaks along with it. We live in a similar area as here so understand that decision to do it now instead of fixing it later (bigger job). But I agree with the rigid pipe application instead.
Rigid 4” round will allow the air to flow much easier no rough air which will impede the airflow. Not to mention the water content of the air flow. By the time air gets 10 ft all heat will have dissipated and the moisture will have dropped out and will freeze!
@@aussiebloke609 You mean "mold." Mould has a different meaning.
You mean "mold." Mould has a different meaning.
In areas that are inaccessible you should be using hard pipe
If I can ask u are running a bathroom fan that will care moisture how many feet in an unheated space what will happen in winter and freezing temps
Been watching Your vids from the beginning, Have enjoyed, However you must recap on how many battery power supplies you have promoted, Realistically is about living off grid or promoting products.
Who needs Sally to check safety when you have cats checking out the job
Has to be nice getting a $2000.00 worth of stuff from business.
When the battery banks stop holding a charge. how are they recycled
You might want to think about suspend the bathroom vent hose to keep it off those rafter pieces so it doesn't get damaged.
Tesla battery powers our home!
Are you going to deal the hole around the house to keep monster out of the wall and insulation?
I'm glad you found the vent so easily. ❤❤
Hallo Pak De... Sehat selalu...
😊
Why would you not drill or route with a router jig before placing the boards up on the ceiling?
Can you change them while you're using them? How much do they cost for both .🙏🕊️🌻☕❤️
does the length of cords affect the power off that Ecoflo? maybe that should be factored so it doesn't priorities power. Also do you plan to go with electric vehicles? and is so how would you charge them?
if u cant find a stud use a magnet.....there will be a nail at some point along the stud.
Julie, what country were you serving as missionaries ? Was it Indonesia?
Don’t jigsaw cut those openings get a 6.3 inch drill wood hole bit in the meantime.
🇳🇱SUPER VIDEO 👍👍👍👍👍🍀
❤❤❤
Marty, Marty very expensive so in fact the AC is coming at a cost for the batteries and lets not forget the poor people in foreign countries that have to mine for the metals. "EcoFlow is one of China's most recent unicorn companies". Buy USA, don't sell out to China.
My Dad does Geneology work for Family Members some Johnsons are in the group! On Facebook. My Fathers Name is Clifford Johnston.
Super congrats 🎉🎉🎉🎉 for going 2 whole episodes before shilling another solar battery product to your audience.
