So happy this film won an Oscar for something AND 34 years later we get to celebrate it again
Looking back as a 42 year old fan whose 9th birthday present was the VHS copy of BATMAN, the look of Gotham City always made me appreciate growing up in The Bronx. I know that they're lost to history, but I get a kick out of having the Twin Towers actually be an influence on the twin spires of Gotham City Cathedral!❤

I liked Bo Welch’s Gotham in Batman Returns fine, but Anton Furst’s gothic, art-deco style will always be the definitive “Tim Burton Gotham City”!
