- Let's talk about colored moissanite!
There are a few things to know before considering purchasing a colored moissanite engagement ring.
1. It has a slightly higher price point than colorless moissanite. However, these prices do not come close to the tags on colored diamonds, so it is still a very good diamond alternative if you enjoy the colored aesthetic.
2. It has generally the same refraction as colorless, maybe even a little higher! Yellow moissanite has a very similar refraction to a diamond.
3. There is a wide range of colors when it comes to colored moissanite.
4. Some colors do not occur naturally, like bright teal, purples, blues, etc and therefore cannot be passed as a diamond or another gem. This is something to keep in mind when deciding on colors.
5. The bigger the carat, the more saturated the color of the moissanite will be!
6. Make sure your jeweler does not use the dipping method: this is where simply the underside of the stone is coated in the color. It is not durable, and over time will fade until it will eventually be almost indistinguishable.

I have colorless and I love them 😊 I want a nice vivid blue color 💙🤤 still looking
I got the ring at 1:54 from you quite a while back. Love it so much 🥰
Oh so cool! Yes it came out beautifully 🥰 I'm glad you like it!
is that a pink sapphire? or pink moissanite?
Is it moissanite?! It LITERALLY a looks like argyle pink diamond or bubble gum sapphire!
So, how are the colored moissanite stones made without dipping in color?
I’ve been looking into blue and grey moissanite. It’s hard to find genuine dealers or jewelry companies. I’m worried the one my fiancé got me doesn’t fade over the years :(
Oh that would be unfortunate, I hope it doesn't! You could always have it looked at by an appraiser but I don't know if it's worth spending the 100$ 🤷♀️
I've seen montana sapphires that are a really pretty blue green
I live Montana sapphires they're beautiful!
I got Blue Green moissanite for engagement ring. I hope it is genuine one
Where do you buy your moissanite?
Hi Beth, we buy from B2B suppliers in China
How long does coated last? I bought red moissanite from china
Sorry I couldn't say without having it evaluated. Different vendors can have different qualities
Thanks good information&you are a very beautiful girl 👧 ❤
Montana sapphires come in blue-green
Why no red moissanite?
Yes there is red moissanite, I don't talk too much about it in the video but yes you can buy red :)
They don’t have RED moissanite...They do but it’s coated, wears off. No pink moissanite either...Well, you get the point.
