Hi Friends!! I'm here with a quick follow up video sharing all about my 2 carat oval solitaire moissanite engagement ring with a 14K gold band! When I put out my first video about my ring I didn't really take into account that other people outside of my current subscribers at the time would randomly stumble across it, and so I wanted to do a more informative video for those truly interested in purchasing a moissanite ring 🥰 In this video I'm sharing close up shots of what the ring looks like on & in natural light! I absolutely love my moissanite ring! When my S/O and I were researching moissanite, we stumbled upon your first video. I had trouble committing to a ring from an online retailer. Many local jewelers in our area offer moissanite, so I was able to see the stones in person. I initially wanted an oval but fell in love with an elongated cushion cut.

I just got a 1.5ct rose cut moissanite stand-in (after watching your video on moisannite) because we haven't been able to collect the actual one which was ordered overseas due to covid. I thought it would be transparent and glass-like, but it is very reflective and almost mirror-like, which is beautiful in a different way. It reminds me of the crystal chandeliers in Hall of Mirrors in Versailles ^^
Your video helped me decide go with a moissanite. I wanted the oval, but went with a round. I got Charles & Colvard. I love it. I do really want an oval tho. I may get one from a different shop and rotate them out. Love your ring..that's my fave. ** Just to update. I loved my C & C moissanite so much, I wish I would have got that oval but was still scared when I got my first one. I wasn't sure what to expect. I did finally go ahead and get myself that oval solitaire as well!! I will say, I didn't go all out and get a c&c stone this time. I went to etsy and got a 1ct oval solitaire that's still good quality. I just have to thank her again for her moissanite videos, cause I absolutely love mine. I would pick them over my diamond any day.

We just ordered me a new wedding set. I decided on Moissanite. I didn't order from the same place as yours and mine is 1 1/2 total carot weight, white gold, and with a halo vintage look. Thanks to your previous video, I have turned into ordering a Moissanite engagement ring. But also I had to go twice in Zizifel shop in Paris to convince myself :). Unfortunatelly must wait for the correct size to be made, but overall very happy as the diamond ring is way expensive. And frankly to me the 2 carat Moissanite that I have ordered has in my opinion way better light reflection.
I have several moissanite rings of different sizes, cuts and colors. I'm a ring fanatic and I love everyone of them. I can wear them everyday without worrying about damaging them and I believe moissanites history is as interesting as a diamonds if not more so.
Mossinate is definitely the way to go! Cheaper and has more "fire" than a diamond. Getting "crushed ice" cut comes pretty close to looking like a diamond, from what I've noticed. If you want that bigger carat weight without the price and something more ethical - Mossinate is the way to go! Nice video and beautiful ring !

I had a business trip to New York last week so I visited Lauren B Jewelers. Bought a 2.5 oval with a diamond wedding band. Stunning.
I got engaged in November of 2020. When we were ring shopping I let him know that I'd prefer a moissanite because I was worried about getting an unethically sourced diamond. I have absolutely no regrets about my selection. Just as you mentioned, it's durable and it has great sparkle. I adore my ring!
I want a moissanite ring too they're so pretty and I really don't even see a difference (if anything they're more multicoloured looking but I love that)!
I have a moissanite e-ring and I def would upgrade to a 2ct or 2.5ct oval! I love yours so much! I worked for the diamond district here in L.A.and it just scarred me and when it was time to get a ring, I told my partner I wanted a moissanite instead! If you want it to believable, def try a smaller ct size, like belong 2ct? Mine is an 8x6 (1.5ct) and def had shrinkage when I got it so I def want to upgrade!!

I'm the clumsiest person ever and my 1ct moissanite ring has help up beautifully. I even got a European cut stone and it fools everyone and looks sooooo nice.
I have a 1 carat emerald cut moissanite ring and still love it 8 months later. I was scared I'd one day regret it, but I'm also proud of this ring :) And no scratches or chips even though I can be rough with my hands.

I have 2.5 ct Emerald cut Moissanite and a 2.3ct Trillion Moissanite and I love them both. I do have a 3 stone round brilliant DIAMOND engagement ring with a center stone of 1.37 so I wanted an upgrade and different cuts. I notice that the Emerald and Trillion cuts which have less facets than brilliant cuts produce less fire than brilliant cut Moissanites. But the less fire of the Emerald and Trillion make them look more like diamonds especially in the bigger sizes.

I’m all about stones for engagement rings other than diamonds. I have a 2 carat round canary sapphire with baguette side stones on a yellow gold band for my engagement ring, and get TONS of compliments.

Just remember they don't have the same resell value that a diamond has. I learned this after purchasing my ring and by the jeweler. :/

Even a trained eye looking super close cannot tell it’s not a Diamond. They have now had to make moissanite testers (measures the properties electronically) to distinguish them from diamonds b/c they were getting into the Diamond trade and no one knew
I adore your ring, it is absolutely stunning, gal! We decided on Moissanite a year or so ago. I don’t even feel the need to justify my choice based solely on the price point, we both feel that Moissanite is such a beautiful stone and I haven’t come across a diamond I love nearly as much (and trust me, I’ve loooooked lol) After visiting tons of stores in different states I couldn’t find the right one or they weren’t able to make the exact one I had in mind. Eventually I headed to Etsy and found the perfect ring! Of course, me being type A, went through every review, Reddit post, and CZcams video I could find until I was convinced it was the right choice. While there is a stigma behind ordering a ring online/Moissanite in general I couldn’t be happier with the experience we have had going through Etsy! 10/10 would recommend!

I had a moissanite once and I loved the rainbow sparkle outside and in artificial indoor lighting. The only issue was indoor/natural room light it didn’t really sparkle much. I wanted something that sparkles all the time in any light so I’m going for a diamond. It’s all personal preference and moissanite is still beautiful.
Same here. Moissanite is pretty but it doesn’t spark when the lightning isn’t right. So I just got a lab diamond. There is crushed ice moissanite on the market now that cut more like an oval diamond. However, it’s not as affordable as the “normal oval cut moissanite”

@@tylermoore2969 Forever One is the line of moissanites that Charles & Colvard offers 😊 There are two types: Forever One GHI and Forever One DEF. The GHI moissanite is near-colorless, meaning it will show some warmness. The DEF moissanite is colorless and does not show warm undertones when exposed to natural light. Both are very eye clean and excellent/ideal cut only. Hope this helps!

The average person definately cannot tell the difference!! Side by side, it is not as sparkly as a diamond. Very beautiful ring!
Moissanite gems have a higher light refraction 2.65 - 2.69 and out sparkle/shine diamonds lab or natural that only have a 2.45 - 2.42. A diamond looks dull next to moissanite. However, variety is the spice of life, like what you like and enjoy.

actually you can get a moissanite crushed ice cut. you can’t tell if it’s a moissanite nor a diamond even if it’s oval shaped unless you notice that moissanite has more fire and brightness than a diamond on the official index’s. the cut can always be customized even on moissanite and you can definitely get a crushed ice moissanite.

Actually some diamonds will reflect back that color that a moissanite does, but it has to be a very high quality diamond with at least a D color rating and very very slightly included if at all.

sounds like it doesn't hold its value though if it's cheaper today than when purchased 3 years ago. Gorgeous but that would be my only hesitation and definitely something to consider if you plan to purchase a moissanite ring
Diamonds don't really hold their value either. You usually won't get back what you pay for it. You can buy Moisanite engagement rings for as low as $1000-1500. Even if the resell it you aren't really out too much where it's so inexpensive to begin with.
I have noticed Moissanite prices dropping. I think it's all about supply and demand. Yes. More people are buying Moissanite which would usually drive prices higher. But...since the introduction of lab grown diamonds, Moissanite has a rival. So instead of a natural diamond, people now have the choice of a lab grown diamond AND Moissanite. Hence. would drive prices down. Because, why would people buy Moissanite if it was the same price as a lab grown diamond? Of course, some people still prefer Moissanite over diamonds, even natural diamonds. All in all, Moissanite lovers rejoice! Also bravo for getting a 2ct. I notice a lot of people choose 3 and 4 carats when getting a Moissanite because it's affordable. But personally, I feel when a Moissanite or even a diamond is too big, it tends to look like a cocktail ring and not an engagement ring. Although I do understand if you have larger hands or fingers, you want it to be proportional. But a 2 ct on relatively small or medium hands look perfectly feminine and proportional and looks like an engagement ring. I have a natural 1.5 diamond on my engagement ring. But my right hand ring Moissanite is a 2.5 ct! Also have studs and a tennis bracelet.
