So very true! My husband and myself have worked our entire lives to have retirement.. now in our 60’s and too broken down in our bodies to enjoy our lives.. enjoy your life now while you are young!
I totally agree! I retired at 56. That was the best decision I’ve ever made in my life. There is so much beauty and wonder in the universe. We forget to just relax and breath.
@@SeriousPoems It was the "best decision" you ever made? How were you "able" to retire? I'd "love" to retire, but if I did, I'd end up homeless, so instead I keep working, so that I can live in my apartment, instead of on the street.

There are so many people going through depression. I went through the 3 worst years of my life, but I survived. I'm in another reality now, one of wonderment. Get out of those deep dark feelings& find some sunshine. It's there all u have to do is walk in it.
It took a pandemic for me to look around at what I had accomplished in life and be truly content in the moment. That doesn’t mean I don’t look forward to new projects! But I take timeouts throughout the day to just sit back, listen to music, watch all the nature around me, listen to the wind & just be in the moment. Very wise words. My parents worked hard all their life. My mom became terminally ill in her late 50’s, my father was her caretaker. One day he looked at me and said,” don’t wait to live your life and enjoy it. You may not get the opportunity to do everything you want and go everywhere you dream of. Don’t worry about money, go in debt but whatever you do, do what makes you happy.” Unfortunately, he also became terminally ill and passed away 13 days after my mom. Maybe you can take your Mom outside, take her to a garden, let her get some fresh air. My Mom was in a nursing home too. Luckily I had had the opportunity to help choose where she was staying, and I picked one with a big, pretty, private garden where residents could sit and enjoy the flowers and sunshine. I would take her outside every time I visited. It really did help make her last year more tolerable for her.
Exactly my perspective on life! When that realization came to me, life changed. I now live in a tiny dry cabin and live a very simple life, and make it a point to be present, right where I’m at, everyday. Making everyday good in the most simplest of ways….smell the flowers, feel the earth with your feet/hands, smell all the scents surrounding you, see the tiniest of insects, & plants, truly enjoy time and presence of others…..life is to be enjoyed, not to be an arduous struggle. Gurl I am 52 and started thinking like this about 10yrs ago. I always believed life should be enjoyed now. Not when we “retire” or wait for something. Just going to a park, taking a walk with your dog 🐶, and stop with the rat race. Well this is my way, and I have accomplished enough but lack someone to enjoy with me. I think the universe put you here to folks can change their priorities much sooner. Never to late to enjoy the planet 🌎, whether you’re 52, 22 or 92. My advice is to turn the phone off ☕️
"How do you want to spend your life?" - exactly this!! Not enough of us are asking ourselves this question. We only get one life, we have to live it with intention and not let it pass us by. 💙 Beautiful video Isabel.
Suggestion on your fencing: attach small square (opening) fencing all around the bottom of the existing fencing allowing for enough to, of course touch the ground, BUT leaving enough to bend and extend out 8 to 10 inches outwards laying on the ground confusing the animal as to how to dig under. So far its worked for me for many years now. Before this build, raccoons were digging under.
We did the "L" fencing too and it worked for the ground hogs that we have in this area. I and a few others have mentioned it before in comments but I guess she doesn't read these for her non-online thing. For our fruit trees I hang a stove pipe around the trunk of the tree a few feet off the ground to where the first limbs start to branch from the trunk. I use some wire and put it threw a piece of water hose to protect the tree. It must be high enough so that the squirrels can't jump over it or also jump from the ground to a limb too. I've used it for raccoons and squirrels and has worked well for us (mostly).
Also plant a few things animals will want to eat outside of the garden. They'll be busy eating what they can get to with less work and won't have the stomach for as much inside the fence.
@Gary Wilkinson I was having the same issue, especially with squirrels. If you can get your hands on bird netting, what I did was create a "poof" along the outer top edge of my fence, including the gate. They hate the feeling of getting their claws stuck in the netting and will give up. Also, place a birdbath a little bit away from the garden so they'll go over there for water.
Isn’t it weird how small the moon looks on camera. It seems so big until I take a picture of it. Great sentiments😌When someone really close to you dies There is a whole other world of realization along these lines, but much deeper and more impactful. Life is a labor of love. The people in your life are your happiness. Everything else is to that end.
I’m addicted to setting goals- I make a goal, work forever to get it, then as soon as I get it I immediately set a new goal. I don’t give myself time to enjoy what I’ve worked hard for, only ever look toward the future. I have to stop but it’s so hard. I’ve been doing it so long that it just feels like part of my personality now
Maybe...start with more Nature in your life. Walking meditation or just very slowly wandering for a short time whenever u can. When eating, only eat, in silence, no redingote, writing, screen, talking. Observe the nutriments, taste, texture, taking time to think about every mouthful, putting down cutters, chewing 30 times. Think about where each ingrédient came from. Be grateful and dedicated . Easier said than done, but worthwhile momentum. Peace is every step. Every mouthful. This is from a buddhist tradition, introduced for non religious to calm down and enjoy.
Your words are thoughts I always have but rarely act on. Easy to forget what’s in your heart when wrapped in society. The reminder, the validation of these ideas bring me peace. Inspiring. Thank you.

She uses a Fuji X (X-T3) mirrorless camera and vintage lenses with manual focus. It's her story telling and location that make these work, not the equipment in my opinion.
@@jeffmpvd7689 Just curious, what are vintage lenses? (Trying to get what you mean by "vintage." To me, vintage is 1960s or earlier, which would be way to old...)

Isabel it is refreshing to see younger adults coming to the realization that all this technology has not been the best for society. Wherever you go, there you are! I try to remember that your consciousness follows you, the key is to be conscious of your state of mind. You are a very wise young lady. I agree with all you say Time is precious. There is a saying "yesterday has gone, tomorrow may never come, we only have today". Thank you for a very uplifting video.
Hi Isabel, thank you so much for making this video. Recently I’ve been struggling with feeling torn like maybe I should focus back on my career and working full time. I’ve been working part time as a librarian and although I make very little money I’ve been so much happier. Everything you said in this video really spoke to my soul. Thank you for your wise words. Xo
This is a very timely video, I've been having alot of anxiety and existentialism for the past week bombarded by the news of inflation, climate change, roe vs wade, mass shooting etc made me realize I'd probably will never achieve the life I've always wanted (similar to yours). Looking back the happiest I've been was during the pandemic where I've taken the time to rest and heal, leaving behind my expectations and attachment of the future and just living day to day tending to my garden, baking bread and spending time with my family. Thank you for this reminder ❤️
I agree with all what you said. Too acknowledged that at your age is awesome. So Cary through with it and remind yourself daily. I think that as well but I'm 60 now and it's not that easy anymore. At least not like being 25. I've done a lot in life. Had my fun until I was 30.then got married, built a house, raised kids, worked long hours, worked hard played hard. It's not like I regret anything but It could have gone more in another direction, less is more. If I was to give any advise now at 60, it would be what you said! Thankyou for being.......
I too experienced a shift in my thinking this week. Almost 5 years ago I decided I wanted to be truly happy and I walked away from a home, property, “things “, I set myself free and I have never looked back. This was a beautiful video and very insightful. Made me think about how I look at the world and plan. I keep thinking "Once this happens, then maybe i'll be happy." But being happy is a choice and you just have to decide to be it. I've been taking more deep breaths lately. It helps center me back in the present. Thanks for all your beautiful videos!
Golden years my foot. Don’t believe that. “ Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone” Enjoy everyday especially when your young. Memories are what your left with make the best ones you can💝
I have always said the golden years are mislabeled, they are brass...needing much more work to be bright and shiny like gold! I am in my 60's and RN...wish I had done more in my youth instead of saving up for now....BRASS...
My husband and I married very young, I was 16 he 20 . We had 2 sons within 2 yrs, husband worked away from home and we had a blessed life. We are now almost 50 and 54, nearly 34 yrs married in October and sadly our sons chose their partners and don’t talk to us. We have decided to sell our big house, rent a small holding and have luxury holidays and of course love our 6 dogs. I won’t work to leave money to ungrateful people so we will enjoy it! Love your vlogs, you’re my inspiration
I have really been trying to be more present as well. Anxiety makes me feel so in my head. Time is fleeting and it’s scary to be vulnerable. Thank you for your words! I feel grounded and those mountains never fail to amaze me🤍 love from Vancouver Island
The irony of you promoting a sponsored electronic game played on a device and in next breath talking about not being on internet and technology and all that, and just being present.
If we are nomadic in spirit then our pull will be to the mountain...I can relate. Once when I had the time I would be magnetized to taking a solitary walk up the mountain; Once I came up - near the top - to a magnificent, large, crowned eagle on a rock overlooking a precipice...Another time an unusually big and venerable hare or rabbit lopped away near a flat stretch of rock about half way up the mountain...Another time, I came upon an extraordinary 'nest' of little baby shrews that ran all round my shoes and I discretely left them...Another time - with my Maltese dog - a small cobra with spread hood - again near rock and not too near the top. Ah, memories of the mountain...
Wait i kinda dont agree with money cant buy you happiness. Yknow, if i have money, if im rich, i could donate a lot, can help a lot of people, can travel anywhere i want to go, places i wanna visit, foods i wanna eat, all of it can make me happy. Not material things, but yknow not being stressed out to where i can find money to buy food for today is happiness. That's why i believe money can buy you happiness
i think it's time for a break young one, you're ALL over the map. "out in the middle of no where" ??? it's my opinion you need to figure out where you want to be, sometimes life isn't about what you accomplish as much as what you overcome, FIX the plumbing, i'm 70 my flip phone is nothing more than a phone, don't do games, internet,GPS,it's my phone, let gravity find a place to ground you (and Logan i assume) well i'm not going to be popular here now
Being in the present no matter where we are or what we’re doing is so important. I work in a home with relatively independent seniors. I used to cry all the way to work, hating the job so much. Then I remembered to be present and though I don’t always love every moment of my job, I’m fully there most days, and have built connections with my clients and others in the building. I’m sure these folks didn’t all plan their retirements the way they have turned out. So many things can happen on the way. Appreciating even the smallest things of beauty and kindness can give a full life every day wherever we are…and can help someone else have joy as well.
I totally get how you can't make videos without doing some sponsorships, but this one was kind of a weird combo.. Talking about getting offline and living in the moment and then promoting a mobile game?
Your online / internet making your income but telling us not to watch? 5 mins a day would not allow anyone to get your message…. It’s not new news , live now blah blah But good on you for reminding those who are still asleep.
This resonates with me so deeply... it doesn't matter where you go or what you are doing, a deep sense of fulfillment only comes from within, from spending time with those we love, and living more intentionally. This is spot on.
The irony of you promoting an app, then talking about being offline as a way to increase being present. I guess that sponsor paid good money. What's ironic about what you say is, you actively need us watching you and not being present in our lives in order to make money--you need viewers to get offered sponsors and you need us for any money you get from ads--but you promote being offline. I enjoy your content and agree with your ideas about minimizing being online to be present, but I wish you would be more honest. Cause it feels like hypocrisy.
1:55 You still work? You have 684k subscribers. If you're not making a LOT OF MONEY from your CZcams channel alone, something's wrong. I know youtubers who have far less subscribers than you, who are bringing in 10k-30k/month.

I've heard this same suggestion!
4 am talks on a mountain. The best kind of talks. ❤️🌲
It’s refreshing to see a hard worker know when it’s time to give themselves a break💛✨
An Ge thank you- that’s a very easy step I can take
Your words are thoughts I always have but rarely act on. Easy to forget what’s in your heart when wrapped in society. The reminder, the validation of these ideas bring me peace. Inspiring. Thank you.
Isabel you blow my mind with each & every video, you send my brain into orbit. Someone so young & so full of wisdom & knowledge! It’s hard to comprehend how you come up with such great ideas and your topics are never boring. Your words have meaning I feel so lucky you’re willing to share it with the world!!!
I enjoy your videos ….. I am happy to have grown up before cell phones and enjoyed playing in nature …. I still enjoy being in the present …. Beautiful talk
Wow . Isabel is truly on top . She’s acquiring wisdom for her journey living In the wild and being In Tune with nature ; Some people NEVER acquire this wisdom in all their lives . I’m so impressed that such a young beautiful person is so open to learning what life has to teach us .
Really wow or jock?
I love this surprise video!!! I could watch & listen to you all day!
Really or jock?
I loved this video, and I was wondering if we can get more of a behind the scenes of your videos? Like what you film on and what lens. You are so inspiring to be the best I can and get out there and create! You are absolutely amazing Isabel. It feels weird saying this to a stranger but honestly I have so much love for you. Take care 💕
Love this video. Thank you for choosing this path, you probably could’ve done anything but you are here, with us, and serving the collective with light and hope. ✨
Really love or jock?
Love the random video. My favorite videos are when you cook/bake things - they are very calming.
This is such a beautiful talk and self realisation. ❤ Time is precious and can never be regained. Thank you for sharing.
Isabel it is refreshing to see younger adults coming to the realization that all this technology has not been the best for society. It gives to many people the excuse not to connect with each other on a personal level. It's so great that you guys are able to do that. Your nature background work is Amazing, it takes you into calmness. Thank you for sharing. Sending vibes of Blessings and Love to you both for your continued adventures on your journeys.
Wherever you go, there you are! I try to remember that your consciousness follows you, the key is to be conscious of your state of mind. When my mind allows the monkey chatter, the doubts the fears the insecurities, I have a particular chant that I focus on quietly and it takes center stage and creates a vacuum, all the chatter is quickly removed!
I was on vacation and thought i missed out ! I really love that you gave yourself a little break and I really hope that you can continue to enjoy all the work you have put into your build !
I reealllyyy needed this today, thank you so much for posting ❤
That as so enlightening and spiritual....I love the insight. I live off grid in Vt and the peace of the beautiful nature around me everyday gives me such a calm feeling. very profound thinking .🦉
This is actually one of, if not the most important video that you've ever made, thank you so much
What a lovely surprise!!! Thanks for sharing! ✨☀️🧡🔆
Thank you Isabel 🌼I really needed this today! You are such a wisdom filled young woman as for myself at 62...I did all those things you mentioned...waiting...and hoping and dreaming... and not doing...now I'm at a place where it's probably impossible for me to live out my dreams. But, I love to see that you're living out yours! 💐
This was wonderful, so true and so inspiring. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the midweek sunrise show! so beautiful! also, thank you for reminding us to be present in the moment. I've been making a conscience effort to be off the devices and it makes a big difference in your quality of life.
You are a very wise young lady. I agree with all you say Time is precious. There is a saying "yesterday has gone,
tomorrow may never come, we only have today". Thank you for a very uplifting video.
I'm feeling a bit lost in life at the moment but you inspire me so much Isabel
Thanks for brightening up my day with your beautiful videos 💛
Hi Isabel, thank you so much for making this video. Recently I’ve been struggling with feeling torn like maybe I should focus back on my career and working full time. I’ve been working part time as a librarian and although I make very little money I’ve been so much happier. Everything you said in this video really spoke to my soul. Thank you for your wise words. Xo
Where are you from?
Wise words! Try to Iive each day like this but not always easy! Thanks for your insights! Have a great week!
What a great message during such a messed up time in our country. Thank you!
Everything about this episode is stunning! And such a moving message, your videos are such a BEAUTIFUL piece of art!
I too experienced a shift in my thinking this week. Almost 5 years ago I decided I wanted to be truly happy and I walked away from a home, property, “things “, I set myself free and I have never looked back. I knew you had something important to share! After all, it’s only Thursday. You are correct on all levels and peace in our lives start’s from within !🙏🏼😘
It’s wonderful to see you enjoying the here and now. You’re so right, this day is going to be over, so let’s not waste it, let’s do something meaningful. ❤️
So wise at such a young age. What a gift 🌻🌻
Glad to see Isabel is going after her true calling in life. What's your CZcams channel about?
Yay! An extra dose of the ever so WISE Isabel. You are truly Gifted!
Really love this message. This word of yours made me feel so good and I so enjoy your wisdom at such a young age. Recently had a hard thing happen in my life and you have given me some encouragement to enjoy the day as it is! Love you girl!
Enjoy the little precious things. Overlook nothing. Everything is so fleeting. Including us. ❤️
This and Hitomi Mochizuki's video she just posted was literally so perfect for me rn. I've never cried to u or her videos. And both of u had videos today that made me tear up!
agreed! :,)
Hahahahahahahah
You are SO very right, young lady, you don't even know how right you are about your thoughts ! 💙💚💛
every time you post a video i’m always reminded how grateful i am to have found your channel. thank you for sharing with all of us a glimpse into your life and even your thoughts. definitely needed this reminder, so i’m happy that this message resonated so deeply. we’re all very lucky to be able to watch your beautiful videos. lots of love to you & your family 💕
Hello, thanks for sharing this video! Always believe in yourself and keep doing what you love. Good luck! 🌼🌼🌼
What's your CZcams channel about?
Just love Isabel. ❤️
You absolutely nailed it!!! Such amazing words of wisdom!!! 🥰
You were the first youtube Channel I followed, and one of only two channels that I still watch. I have made every recipe in your cook book, and continue to be inspired by you. Thank you Isabel. Such wisdom!
I feel like my soul is actually speaking through you. I agree with EVERY word you said in this video. Love it! Enjoy your day Isabel
Love these videos :)!!!
Thank you for raising the frequency of this beautiful Earth we live on! Your soul, your love for nature, your everyday excitement over little things.... This is what makes earth a better place for all of us!
Keep shining your light 🌟
This was a beautiful video and very insightful. Made me think about how I look at the world and plan. I keep thinking "Once this happens, then maybe i'll be happy." But being happy is a choice and you just have to decide to be it. I've been taking more deep breaths lately. It helps center me back in the present. Thanks for all your beautiful videos!
Golden years my foot. Don’t believe that. “ Life goes on long after the thrill of living is gone”
Enjoy everyday especially when your young. Memories are what your left with make the best ones you can💝
I have always said the golden years are mislabeled, they are brass...needing much more work to be bright and shiny like gold! I am in my 60's and RN...wish I had done more in my youth instead of saving up for now....BRASS...
Little ditty, about Jack and Diane.....
51 .... married almost 32 years... im really with you on this. This journey, parenting,marriage... its continually unfolding ~
Really or jock
I have really been trying to be more present as well. Anxiety makes me feel so in my head. Time is fleeting and it’s scary to be vulnerable. Thank you for your words! I feel grounded and those mountains never fail to amaze me🤍 love from Vancouver Island
“Live fully! Now!” Prof. Alan Watts
Nice video Isabel. Thank you for your words!
i love how she's had this realization many times! i think that's life. coming back to truth time and time again when we have forgotten.
Can’t believe she’s advertising a game like this and a minute after she talks about living an offline life and leaving the phone behind……….
This was so great! I appreciate the insight, visuals, and wisdom. I loved this!
That's why i believe money can buy you happiness
she can't relate... "just download two dots!" lol
i think it's time for a break young one, you're ALL over the map. "out in the middle of no where" ??? it's my opinion you need to figure out where you want to be, sometimes life isn't about what you accomplish as much as what you overcome, FIX the plumbing, i'm 70 my flip phone is nothing more than a phone, don't do games, internet,GPS,it's my phone, let gravity find a place to ground you (and Logan i assume) well i'm not going to be popular here now
You always make me seek out the things I’m grateful for. Thank you for being you ❤️
Being in the present no matter where we are or what we’re doing is so important.
The moment I saw your video on my feed...I took a moment and screamed .."yeeesssss"
You are magic Isabel. Ily❤️
A thousand times "YES" Isabel
I frickin appreciate you lady.... So so so much. Thank you for this reminder. I am so blessed and I can remember that every moment of every day and THAT is freedom.
I just love the way you think! Your videos make me always feel so peaceful and a little envious of how you live!! I work and live in the city and wish I could just live anywhere away from the hectic life of the city!! Keep up the great work of your videos!!! Your awesome!!!!
Thank you Isabel for the gentle reminder that we all have the ability to enjoy a moment in each day to really be present in the life we live.❤️
Really or jock?
This is a best internet video. As a farmer in SW AR, I know how tough it is to slow down and be present, there is always something… thank you for the reminder Isabel, you are a gem✨
Wow just wow, I wish my granddaughter had your focus and view on life at such a young age
You are such a blessing to me.......So much wisdom! I have been resisting taking a break from the internet for months now. I know i am trying to fill a void by always going to it compulsively. I felt instantly at peace hearing your voice and beautiful message, which resonnates with me so much at this time. Also, wanted to say that the food you make is the kind of food I grew up with ,simple, earthy , healthy, it gives me great joy to see you put it all together . Thank you for all the inspiration!
Thank you for this reminder. I too moved out to the middle of nowhere thinking it would bring me peace. I’ve learned the same lesson.
This video was so good I needed to watch it twice, you know absorb it get the most from it. Because every word is true. There’s one thing in particular Isabel does, and that she sees wonder in nature and says every time just how wonderful the air is and the mountains. Love it.
So good I watched it twice and will probably watch it multiple times again. You are wise beyond your years Isabel.
I love the way you speak in this video! All our best memories come from real connection, so true!
Everytime you share your ideas about life, I just feel like I am talking to a friend. Thank you so much for the things that you made me think and learn 🐱 💕
Thank you so much for this video Isabel ! I've just needed to hear that
It’s so soothing to watch this, thank you for everything 💗
Really thanks or jock?
