Dear Isabel, I have been watching your videos with great devotion for about four years. Sometimes even obsessively, for several days in a row. But your videos have a very positive effect on me. They have helped me through depressive phases and loneliness. I love to see how your way of filming, your daily rhythms, your habits and views change and develop. You have inspired me to tackle things I want to do and things I want to learn. I am incredibly grateful to you for sharing the difficulties you have gone through (at least in part) with your viewers, because it has helped me not to feel alone with my problems. It's so admirable that you seem to have the drive to do things as well as you can, but don't let the perfectionism you desire stop you from continuing to do things. Please continue to inspire your viewers with your wonderful videos. It's so nice that you share your life with us and your work has a bigger impact on other people than you can possibly imagine. Isabel, Isabel. :-). if you think your achievements are bad you are truly mistaken. I think while we are at the base of mount Everest you have climbed it 10 times over already. Hi Isabel! ☺ I used to be just like you. I was very perfectionistic and especially in creative pursuits, I was completely tormented by the huge amount of pressure I put on myself. I think creative work is the hardest for people like us, because it's so personal and in a way contains a piece of us, of our soul. I think the illusion is that you only have to get better, get good enough, more skilled, THEN you will finally be able to produce work you are proud of. It will not happen. No matter what skill level you reach, there will always be more to learn, someone else to compare yourself to, something you could have done better. The key is to truly start being kind to yourself. Let mistakes go. Remember why you started creating in the first place- for joy! See your work as a snapshot of that time of your life- imperfect, as you are, but beautiful inspite AND because of that. I know it might seem like that is easier said than done, but take it from me, it is possible. Sending you much love! Thank you for being such a vulnerable and honest voice on the internet. 💛

I'm sorry for what they've done.... But your wounds will heal this I know and you will find joy again and you will see those you thought you lost once again in others though they might not know who they were but you will see them happy and certain wounds will heal as you realize they didn't go anywhere but they just changed.... Some storms don't come to disrupt your life though they may seem like they are some storms are sent to clear a path for us because the universe has so much more planned for us then just being a puppet for those we were trained to please... And try to satisfy..... You are far more amazing than you understand you are always enough and nothing you have ever done has been horrible.... I know how you feel though I spent much of my life believing I was someone I'm not because I let others decide who I was and believed the names they called me after they did nasty things to me and them punished me as if it was my fault for years and mocked me and called me names that didn't fit me.... I was manipulated and tricked with fear for many a year.... But now I see and now I know that I'm not who anyone else says I am.... I'm me and I don't have to be perfect or fit in the frames they made for me I'm boundless and borderless my possibilities are endless because I know that I get to choose my steps... I don't give them that power anymore and I choose love and to work on solutions for all these problems in this world because I know it's not all about me but about everyone who will come after me and everyone I can help discover who they are..... I wish we could have met in person and spent some time to connect but if thats not possible now I understand my soul will meet you in some other timeline I just pray that I know then what I know now so I can share all these things I've been holding on to inside..... There are so many things I would share with so many ppl that I just can't do on here

You are really good filmmaker, no worries about it! But at the minute 2:30, you carry the backpack into the car with a blue t-shirt, drive with a white one, keep driving with blue one and back to driving with the white one…maybe this observation can help you. The video is quite messy with the clothes you are wearying, the history you explained says one thing and the clothes changing every time, says another, makes difficult to follow the history.

Isabel, your content is absolutely beautiful! I think all of us in the comments can agree on that. I read someone comment something along the lines of; “you can run from “thrill” to “thrill”, constantly escaping yourself, but if you want true change, you must face the root of the problem”. I am here to tell you; nothing in this world will satisfy. The excitement of purchasing something, which is then (days later) tossed around, carelessly. We as humans (our flesh) always want more! It’s in our nature! Now, I can say this; nothing gives more peace than Jesus. Resting in His presence. Living in obedience to the One true King. The living God! I tell you, there is nothing like it! He gives true peace. Peace that surpasses all understanding. This is first and foremost a reminder to me, as I can easily get carried away with the worries/cares of this world. But the Lord tells us; “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭34‬ ‭ESV. There is nothing but true in that text! There is only so much we can do, so much we can accomplish, and we, our life…it is like a fleeting mist; here today, gone tomorrow. I think a lot of people (especially in their 20s) feel this way, so I will give you and all the other commenters who feel this way my best big sister advice: Seeking after perfection in any aspect (whether it be your career, your body, your relationship) is perhaps the biggest cause of disillusionment, discontentment, and depression. The more you seek perfection, the more it will evade you because it is not natural or human to be perfect. True peace and happiness comes from within and in my experience, it is directly sourced from genuine gratitude and contentment. However I recognize it takes time to grow into that truth and understand it through lived experiences, but please know it is possible to become at peace with yourself, and it doesn't have to take a lifetime to reach that peace 😊♥

I'm sooooo curious about who you are comparing yourself to. Which films/videos do you watch and aspire to be more like? What person out there makes you feel ugly? Whose acceptance are you seeking? Comparison is normal. We compare ourselves to others because we need to belong and be accepted. It is in our DNA. "Not good enough." I feel that way too. So we have low self-worth and low self-esteem? How does one raise it? Re-parenting? I admire that even though you think these things about yourself, you keep trying. Perhaps you have failed to meet your own standards. Yet you keep trying. I'd like to accomplish at least that for myself. To just try to do the things that scare me. I'd like to be more courageous. But my fear of failure and judgment holds me back constantly. I can really feel your pain in this video, and to others comparing themselves to you, it's hard for them to validate your pain. Well-meaning people can try to compliment you, but it's not going to help until you feel acceptance of yourself. So I'd say keep being vulnerable, be specific about what you want to get better at and seek out feedback, at least where filming is involved. But yeah, I fear for you that this feeling will continue to follow you no matter what until self-esteem is raised. And if you truly figure that one out, let me know haha. I'll keep watching and rooting for you Isabel.
