I just got married last year on September 23, 2023. I am 67 and my new husband is 73! We had a very low key wedding also. My dress was given to me and I loved it. People brought food (a "pot luck") and the food was fantastic. We were outside next to the beautiful river behind us. We only had 20 people also. It was sweet and it felt like everyone was floating around on Love, Love, Love! Many different kinds of people from all walks of life and so much Love! It was PERFECT! I spoke with one of my good friends whose daughter is getting married - and she spent $18,000 on her wedding dress! SAY WHAT? WOW!!!!!! Ridiculous!

I adore the vibes and scenary of the location, and the hand picked flowers sets for the whole event. The love you poured into preparing the cake and the scavenging for asparagus topped it off. My daughter got married 7 years ago and her wedding was at friends of mine who live amongst Amish and all that was there was me, our two friends and the officiant. Sara looked beautiful and we used lots and lots of flowers from my friend's garden and she baked the beautiful wedding cake. Sara was married under an arbor that her dad built a few years back before he passed away. This wedding was the most genuine wedding I’ve seen ever!! True love and real emotions. Nothing fake with all the crazy lights and cameras putting so much into one day when you can spend most of the time with real people and have true peace and joy. LOVE THIS SO MUCH!

I found myself tearing up so many times during this video, I think this is the most beautiful wedding I have seen in a LONG time. The day was perfect and you are so right about having a simple, beautiful wedding day, one that doesn't need all the fancy things, and money spent. Your wedding was the way all weddings should be. The images of the long table with everyone sitting around enjoying the food and the love just got to me.....the honest love and the joy were so beautiful I couldn't help but cry.
