On Old Dwarfs: The Dragon Company are from 1987 which makes them the oldest thing rereleased so far by maybe three years or so, think the Marauder Giant and/or the Orc Wyvern were previously the oldest. Marauder hadn't been created when they came out. Aesthetically they match much better with the other Citadel Dwarfs from that era than with many of the Marauder ones though they are a similar size so still work well enough together. I'm surprised that they've been rereleased rather than the Marauder ones as I think those would have been more popular - prices on Ebay suggest that at least and they would also be a better fit for being included in Empire armies as their clothing fits much better with that. Obviously neither would match the scale or look of modern Dwarfs too well. Working the other way around i.e. trying to match modern Dwarfs to old ones the main problem is Irondrakes. Probably the best unit in the list, but the models look like the crap they are next to the old metal figures so it's a bit of a struggle. Biggest surprise was not to see the 90s Longbeards though I think the text in the article suggests they'll be coming.
On New Dwarfs: Not that he'll match my collection, but the only one of the character models I like is Ungrim who I think is good in isolation though unsurprisingly the weapon is oversized. I'm doubtful whether his scale and proportions will match too well with many other Slayer figures though. No sign of new ones unless I missed something. I'd like the Shieldbearers to put the shield down and get on with fighting - seeing as they attack at WS5 and S4 when they've got their hands full I reckon they'd be pretty tasty if they were left to get on with it. The Shieldbearers thing has always been nonsense, but I guess is a necessary evil in the world of combined profiles for the mounted heroes of other factions. Don't like the model at all regardless.

Another great episode, thanks! (And I loved the kangaroo anatomy talk!)

Glad you enjoyed it haha. Maybe dragons evolved from body lice - they have 6 legs and no wings

5:11 Dragons are real, they have 4 limbs, and wings which are really ribs. 6:14 ah, you know. There's also gliding snakes.
For all we know, dragons can only glide (they only need to be ambush predators with good eyesight who attack from heights) and pegasus maybe only leap or use a swept-back wing position for stability.
9:57 thumbs up for the pentrapedal gate.

"Dragons are real" - and mostly found in Wales and China (though the Chinese ones are a bit different).

“Fairy tales are more than true: not because they tell us dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten.” - except maybe in TOW 😜

Of course you take 3 units of Irondrakes… the max amount you can do in competitive is 3 (as pointed out, to be fair), besides at 2000 pts games the max amount you can spend on rares is 500pts, which means it’s pretty difficult to go above 3. My current list has 3 units of ID: one is 10 dwarves strong, the other five dwarves strong, they cost 358pts total. I tried to fit 3 units of ten but it went above the limit.
    P.S.
    Comments for the algorithm god!

Yeah Its sad when a unit of ID is better that any warmachine IMO. Im a fan of stepping away from just dwarfs centred around war machines. Just would if liked to see more monster killing punch from the slayers. Im praying for something good in the arcane journal.
