The .475 Wildey Magnum is a semi-automatic pistol that became world famous when it was used in the now classic 1985 Hollywood movie Death Wish 3 starring Charles Bronson and directed by Michael Winner. The pistol has a unique patented gas system that makes it possible to regulate the gas pressure so that it can accommodate different cartridge loadings. - Zábava
The Wildey 475 Magnum pistol is the best handgun used by Charles Bronson in Death Wish 3 and used in movies like The Hard Way, A Low Down Dirty Shame and Destination Vegas. Awesome handgun for any of the 80's and 90's Hollywood action movies! 😊
Bennett: [after watching Kersey make his own bullets for half an hour] "You load the shells yourself?"
Paul Kersey: "Nothing's too good for our friends!"
Schön 'HE KILLED THE GIGGLER!!'
The Wildey is really an awesome pistol. I like the fact that barrel lengths as well as calibers can be easily changed and used on the same frame. This video was very informative and covered features of the Wildey that I had not been aware of with the exception of what Charles Bronson had said about the Wildey in the movie. I definitely would like to add one of these to my collection.
"The Wildey can be lightly loaded for a relaxing afternoon at the firering range" ahahahahahahah i can totaly confirm this statment!
Death Wish 3 walks the fine line between merely heavily filled with product placement and being a feature length Gun advertisement.
One of my dream guns! I'm going to move out of California just so I can Conceal Carry this gun like Charles Bronson
That is some 1970's awesomeness. I like the high quality all steel construction.
Oh my God I didn't think there could be a gun that made me happier than the 44 Magnum, I will own this gun I'm buying one
Regards to this gun's role in the film Deathwish 3, you have to realise that the type used was the 10 inch .475 version. However, it must also be noted that if you observe very carefully, you will all realise that the finish is not the standard plain stainless type.Instead, the type is the deluxe variant with fancy engraving. These versions on the market now demand at least a 15 to 25% price premium.
reducing recoil my ass, that thing almost took his face off!
death wish 3 is my favorite movie, .475 wildey mag w/ 8" barel is my favorite handgun
he got the giggler man!
He had no business doing that, none at all
Cool gun...I wonder how this thing stacks up to something like a 10" LAR Grizzly win mag.
It's like the 80s was a golden era for semi-autos...besides the Desert Eagle, nobody seems to make these flashy, long barreled, hand cannons anymore. =(
"Death Wish 3" was just on TV...
This will make anyones' day.
This gun perfect. One day I will own one.

D'ja get it yet?
Well?
This is built well as the M16, so simple however so powerful
first gun video that did not waste my life
Even in deactivated form over here in the UK,my Wildey .475 is a hefty bit of metal.A nice gun overall, but it does have it's problems especially the gas modification nut, which if screwed in too far can cause problems with the slide mechanism.Once adjusted correctly though, the gun is an exotic delight in it's class.
I saw one for sale at a gun shop in 1999. It was in the presentation case and I think the price was three grand.
Prices haven’t changed much then!
beautiful pistol with many options.
3:15 LOL! "while greatly reducing recoil...BOOM!"
You mean the Gigglers back? "They killed the Giggler man,the killed the Giggler!!" "They had no business doing that.I'll take care of him.."
Awsome video. I'm going to buy Wildey Firearms .475 Magnum Pistol right now!
The ultimate semi auto pistol.
I like that....YOU ONLY NEED ONE WILDEY..(accessories galore)
......and that's how with a few minor modifications you can turn a regular gun into 5 guns.
Hunting, target shooting, pureeing a pumpkin, and eugenics.
@Flint79 Actually Flint, Wildey Chambered that guy in the 45 Winchester Mag, which is on the same power level as the 44 Mag, which has been used for home defense before. As an Interesting Side note, This ties in with the Wildey's Predecessor.. The 44 Auto Mag, which also saw use in a Movie with Clint Eastwood as Harry Calahan.
I had a Wildey 475 10" barrel back in 93 and I can tell you a few things.First the thing weighs a ton and the slider pins tend to mushroom from the receiver slamming backwards. When you go to clean it you have a hell of a time taking it apart. I called Wildey and the gun store and said they never had that problem.Sold it because it kept jamming.
If you want the best, buy a wildey. the desert eagle may be powerful, but the wildey is a masterpiece.
I'm on Vancouver Island. Grizzlies are swimming over. My tent had bears wolfs. Cougers. I'd feel safer. With this gun.
I had one and no matter what I did I couldn't get it to work right. A little bit of gunsmithing helped slightly, never the less it sent all of the shell cases back at my face. You can see this at 3:16 of the video, lol. Good for a collector but bad for someone who actually wants to shoot it.
Bronson used his personal Wildey for Death Wish 3.
beautiful gun
omg this magnum is AMAZING!
I'd like to get one of those to go with my STI race gun.
Tee hee hee...BANG!!! They waxed the giggler!
@pete5668
This Gun was in Death Wish 3 and thats the most famous scene in the movie. When Kersey Shoots the Giggler =)
I have the clone to this gun except in 45 Win Mag caliber. Its big, beautiful and cool. But its not a glock. It has to be tuned to the specific bullit weight and charge of the cartridge. Its not for the average shooter. You have to know what your doing to get it to run reliably. It is incredibly accurate. And incredibly powerful. And just a hoot to shoot. But 90% of the time all you have to do is pull it out of its case and jaws drop. It has incredible WOW factor.
I own one! Damn right it does!!!
das ding ist der wahnsinn. ♥
ich stehe auf diese ultimativen waffen. ♥
Awesome gun and not just because it was used in the movie which was awesome but it really is like the coolest pistol :)
MAKES A REAL MESS :)
I was wondering what to get to deal with the bears and cougars who don't care about pepper spray up here in the Northwest. Now I know. lol
@alternatehistories The BFR though is Limited to only switching to a different cartridge by the caliber of the barrel. Because you are changing the entire barrel on the Wildey, it gives you greater options. Revolvers can be chambered for much more powerful rounds, but the 475 Wildey Magnum is in the same range as the 480 Ruger. As with any firearm, Know and take care of your weapon and it will work everytime you pull the trigger.
I...WANT...ONE...NOW!!!!!!!
😂
I want my Wildey NOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

@MrMrssmith ...Sorry you are Wrong !...The Dan Wesson Revolver came with interchangable barrels from 2 1/2,4,6,8 inch all the way up to 10 inch barrel sizes in both .357 magnum and .44 mag calibre. The only advantage the Wildey has over the Dan Wesson is the .475 calibre. But its also a lot more expensive too.
This is a good CCW gun for if someone steals yoru camera
That statement made me giggle.
It did fit pretty nice in Kersey's blazer.
😮 love it
The .475 Wildey Magnum used by Charles Bronson to play Paul Kersey in Death Wish 3 in 1985.
Ah I though he had an Auto-Mag like Dirty Harry did in one movie. Didnt know it was a different gun..cool!
I used to own a Dan Wesson. That's the main reason why I sold it in the first place.Cannot change calibers.
6:35 I think the narrator meant DECREASE recovery time between shots.
while i was watching this i kept thing "HOW MUCH MORE!?!?!?! WILL IT BE OVER 9000?"
44 magnum is shootable, in the right pistol, but i agree, for most applications the .45 is more than enough.
Have those foregrip models ever been seen in the wild?
"Ayo!"
Westside Gunn
my cousin has one of these guns and it was hard to get the gas adjuster right
Fact:
Chuck Norris got his ass kicked by one man... Charles Bronson.
I want the carbine! I wonder if they'll make a fore-stock w/ picatinny rails?
Very classy. are these still in production?
Not overkill but just not practical for urban carry. Would be a great back up in bear country or for hunting deer and elk.
ha ha! i didnt even think this was a real gun!
It’s real!
Nice pistol! how does it cost?
@BiffBallbag I hate to see what this monster can do without the reduced recoil.
3:55 Exteme hunting scenarios?Like what?The deer is in a Humvee?The bear has brought a gun too?Taking down a T-Rex??lol
Yeah iv seen it jam alot. When shooting
I was thinking the same thing... "While greatly reducing recoil..." BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM. Then the thing has this massive recoil. If the recoil were any greater, it would have smacked that guy in the face.
460 gun is a better option I think, three round capability, 460 magnum which is great, 2200 foot pounds at 2200 fps at the most even round, 454 casull, which is somewhere around 2600 foot pounds, and then 45 colt. The Ammo is also a bit cheaper I think
is this a good gun to control my drug turf with ?
big charles
To bad you can't order one in mail like Kersey did
3D printing
is this wildey still in business? cause i never here about them
Where did you find this video
did u ever see the movie?
@louisevale2 how about for it to work when you need it to, accuracy, recoil, ease of use and disassembly, comfort....
10 dislikes have pistol envy.
Otima Arma
Violence is not always the answer, but then again if someone tries to kill me I wouldn't mind having a gun. I'm going to get a gun in about 6 months because that's how long it takes to get one in Australia. I'm not going to use it as self defence, but only target shooting. It's illegal here to use a firearm for self defence. It's called excessive force. Not all people who own guns would want to solve problems with killing and hurting, but I'm sure some do unfortunately. Not all.
They are made by USA Firearms now.
Scope mount look into or look through peep sight.
i want one of those for my ccw :)
In Japan a few months a go a massacre was commited in which i think around 10 people died the guy only had a car and a dagger. If someone really wants to kill people they can do it gun or no gun.
You none gun believer’s! Believe it!!!
@supermankicass It used to be the most powerful, now its like 7th.
"wildeys here" lol
Please anybody hom much is the price of that great gun thank you!
whats .457 compared to .357 and .44mag?
@NC77583 haha are these even made anymore ?
What are you doing looking at gun videos?
Ur above. Florida.
1:10 LOL they shot the death wish 3 poster
haha yea the giggler. if only gang members went by those names now.
Yes, why not??
That's right, but you know what my mum says. Gun's were ment to kill people. So she doesn't want one in the house, but she will let me have a compound bow. I wonder what bows where made for target practice lol?
😂
Are Wildey still trading?
The Web site still exists, but there have been no updates for at least four years.
The .475 Wildey Magum:
It is my understanding you would have to buy brass cases of the right dimensions, dies to re-size rounds and make your own ammunition.
You never could go into a sporting goods store and ask for or order a box of factory-made .475 Wildey rounds.
usafirearmscorp.com/
there back in business .... even a new phone number
Really?? I live like 40 min away
what's the website

The gun did it in a fixed Ranson rest as well as free hand. I tried a variety of loads from weak to full power and they still hit me in the face. I relaxed the ejection spring and enlarged the ejection port with no success. At one point I burned my face when a hot case lodged between my forehead and my shooting glasses. The vent rib broke after 20 rounds from the factory installed a scope base which was impossible to sight in for some reason. it's a poorly designed gun.
The guy talking to Bronson at the beginning of the video was part of a minority too, dear sirs.
I want one in 44 amp.
