Fantastic music
Hey the music fit the ERA the guns were from..Good video-Thanks!
cool guns and music great vid!!! :)
damn these are strange but cool each in their own little ways
I didnt care for the music too much but all of the handguns you displayed were certainly very interesting. Thanks for the vid.
@SuperEvilLemon Ive seen one with eight barrels before, one of those antique pepperpots. Crazy looking thing.
Wallet gun thats sick!
@Odsidin Yes but Revolvers are normally associated with handguns. You have to go out of your way to see or know about Revolver shotguns.
pretty neat experimenting was going on in the early days. The gun with the 5 barrels is a serious overkill though...
i love all of these guns :D
i loved the gatling revolver!xD i bet if they invested in that model today handguns would be alot more difierent!
I see the Spy's an avid collector of strange guns.
I had a four barrel .22 like the one at 3:20 in the vid. It was great. Few moving parts, resonably accurate for social use. .22 LR.
@bazengao I think they're called Pepperbox Pistols - you can get shoddy replicas in many english antique shops for a few bob. They'd be funnn to shoot
What a nice video. I like this. =]
good music
Oops forgot one:
3:07 Uberti 4-barrel derringer in .22 short, made in the last half of the 20th century but a copy of a Sharps model made a hundred years earlier.
This is the only Italian gun in the slideshow. The rest are German except for two Austrians (the Franz and Guttermann).
:) I like the music
might use a similar round to the old Nigant revolver it was a sealed gas system.
The trigger finger running past cylinder.
1:33 Someone did not think that through.
The music is great, on the theme!
it would be if there was a man named Mario serving me lasagna ha ha
the items above are available only on Michael Gross' dreams
Is the Bittner pistol in your collection? If so, congratulations!
@AAguitaristAA Did you suddenly forgot how to read on that video? Description :P
haha mini minigun :D
Shortstop and...WHAT!? No HANDCANNON!?
The trigger is under the barrer, if thats what you were searching ?
it looks like some of these guns are steampunk
The third gun just looks something out of TF2 :P
ya mean the shortstop? Last I checked, they were referred as pepper-boxes
Maybe but TF2 is gay
Doubt it, more likely the cartridge was so minute, the gas may have been tolerable.
people in 100 years will be looking at our guns like haha look at these they used flamable rock to move their projectiles! how silly, they only go 2800 fps!?! omg look at this they actually had brass casings to hold it all, it wasnt self contained. looking it actually made itself dirty to work! this has so many parts! and whatnot. it will be interesting!
03:09 this one's pretty nice looking...
It would be a heck of a lot more interesting if we had a commentary telling us what the hell we're looking at instead of some Parisian music.
I was able to figure out the name and info on some of these firearms. Here's what I got:
No. 4 (1:00 - 1:10) : the Schüler Reform pistol, a 4-barrel German 'revolver' that, rather than using a rotating cylinder, was operated by the hand raising a stacked barrel assembly, advancing through four rounds of 25acp. Produced around 1910 for only a few years. (Source: LifeSizePotato's CZcams channel)
No. 6 (1:32 - 1:49): the Walter Decker revolver. Caliber: 6.35 mm auto. 6 shot. Patented in the UK in 1912, this double action pocket revolver was an original design. The trigger lies under the barrel at the end of a rod which runs back inside the frame beneath the cylinder. The backward movement of the rod indexes the cylinder, cocks and then releases the striker. Spent cases are ejected sequentially by a rod carried separately. A safety lever is found on the left side of the frame. The Decker revolver is very inconvenient to hold, but a special shield on the right side of the frame was necessary: owing to the shape of the grip and the unusual position of the trigger, the base of the index finger would otherwise interfere with the cylinder. (Source: gunandgame (dot) com)
No. 7 (1:49 - 2:07): Early Model 2 Barrel 'Perplex' 12mm flare pistol from the 1920's. A German-made so called 'Schientod' pistol, that has a 2 barrel in and over/under arrangement. This early version breaks open by moving the latch on the left of the pistol to the rear. Later versions used a push button arrangement. (Source: Gunauction (dot) com)
No. 10 (2:40 - 3:08): 1880's Frankenau Purse pistol, a five shot 5mm pinfire revolver made by Frankenau and sold both in Europe and the United States. The revolver is built into the frame of the purse itself. A long trigger mechanism folds out from the bottom of the purse, so that the pistol can be fired with the purse closed. When not in use the trigger folds back up into the purse. The series of holes in the lid serve to allow for the escape of gasses when fired. Today these pistols are very rare and seldom in good condition, as they were pieces that were constantly carried, used, and worn. Worth around $5,000 - $8,000. (Source: Peashooter85 (dot) com)
No. 11 (3:08 - 3:29): 1859 Antique Old C. Sharps Philada PA Pepperbox .22 4-Shot gun pistol. A classic Old West pistol. Specifications on these varied, as they were produced in many variaties. These pistols were produced in .22, .30, .32 short, and .32 long calibers. Barrel lengths varied from 2-1/2" to 3-1/2", although it is estimated that only approximately 25 were made in the 3-1/2" length. The 4-barrel cluster slides forward for opening, The firing pin rotates, mounted in either the hammer or on the frame, depending on the model. Frames were case hardened iron, brass, or silver-plated brass. Grips were usually walnut or gutta-percha. Many thousands of these breech-loading, 4-shot pepperbox pistols were made by the C. Sharps Company and the Sharps & Hankins Company, beginning in 1859. Production of the Sharps 4 shot Pepperbox Pistols ended in 1874. (Source: collectorsweekly (dot) com)
