Now that was for me a really entertaining video, really good to see how you work, that was a really good tip with the insulating tape to colour code the cable does looks neat. I do look forward to your industrial video's not that there's anything wrong with house bashing I used to do both but just make a refreshing change, Nice neat job. You certainly are knowledgable if I could live my life again I would do more industrial work but that was over 50 years ago things have change so much. Sorry I'm rambling. Cheers Mike.

I was shit scared at the age of 18 making connections to live busbars with no gloves, eye, protection or any special kit or screwdrivers just a normal plastic one's no insulated cutters either very primitive, there's a lot to be said about modern health and safety and safe isolation, I've had the power switch on whilst I was working on industrial sites 3 times, but escaped, but came close to death twice working on TV's with my Heart gone in to AF and lying on the floor for longest was 20 minute waiting for my heart to go back to normal rhythm, yes a lot to be said about check and double check, I've been lucky some people I've worked with have not. Take care everyone one lapsed concentration may be your last.

We always do the tapoffs as the DB though. More certs to do though but it’s its probably cause we stuff them with loads of separate circuits though 🤣

4:51 hmhm now plastic boxes with brakers ? tought uk it al need to be metal ? Ferrules on fine standed i also do mostley ..but on cage clamp ( not a screw hitting the cable but 2 plates ) brakers it's actually not realy needed ( but i agree it's neater ) The pins on the multi-solidcore i don't really get ... also not really a must .. i've seen some fit ferrules on multi-solid-core ( you guys call this stranded ...but they are bundled solid cores .. just to make te cable little easyer to bend an manipulate ).. Meter tales in uk are also multi-solid-core i think ? 25mm² for example never seen one put a ferrule or pin on those before putting in the main switch .
We even use fine standed 16-25-35-50-70mm² inside fuseboards to bus bars ..much easyer to handle .. of course we use ferrules or crimp lugs on these .. Anyway neat job ..as always :-) We never use "armoured" cable ( unless burried in the ground ) .. seems a typical uk thing .. also we would have used a 4 pole 32A braker and 20A double pole braker on those boxes that plug to the bars ...and some XVB or XGB ( lsoh cable ) ( similar to NYY-J in germany/holland ) non armoured . And standard plastic cable glands M20 or M25 etc .. seems a lot extra work messing with the armoured .
