The song borderline has big sentimental value to me.when it was topping the charts along with other songs me and a buddy like dorks would get stoned and perform freestyle bmx tricks late into the night.the 80’s we’re the best times in my life and I’m sure many others.born in general hospital 1968 left California September 2022 and will always love Los Angeles/Huntington beach/Venice beach/knotts/Disneyland/the malls and all the great history and filming locations.
The 80's were the BEST. Born in '68 as well. The current era is depressing as hell. You were fortunate to grow up in California and especially Los Angeles. I'm Canadian and would've loved being in that beautiful climate.
I'm subscribed to Scott and I'm from Los Angeles. I'm happy to see this location. 4th street bridge! Awesome. Love Madonna for over 35 years and this song. The scrunchies were a huge thing then.
Great video Kurt, my fave Madonna song, she was in her prime- those were the days! I would love to see more music video locations from back in the day!
I love Crazy for You from Vision Quest, Get into the Groove From Desperately Seeking Susan, and Live to Tell from At Close Range. So all Pre 90s Madonna really ;)
Hey Kurt, great collab with Scott! I subscribe to him as I really like his content and he's from my city. I love seeing this kind of 80's stuff because it's so nostalgic. I think a big part of it is, back when we we're young, being a famous musician or actor had so much more star power. These people we're bigger then life so to see these places where they shot their famous videos or movies is still very fascinating to those of us who grew up in the 80's.
I’m a huge fan of both you guys! Great to see you joining forces and having fun. Made me a smile on an otherwise sad news day. Please keep these awesome videos coming. We really need them!
Great video awesome that you and Scott collaborated I have been subscribed to his channel for a while both of you guys do excellent work keep up the good work Kurt
This was just awesome! Thanks....Do filming locations for Van Nuys Boulevard, I saw it on Tubi, tons of Valley scenes, Malibu Grand Prix in Northridge brought back some old memories. You rock dude!
You guys are incredible to me to be able to find and figure out these filming locations. It's so cool when the area hasn't changed much too. Great video fellas!
Omg my two favorites in one!!!! You both do a wonderful job with your videos!! The Borderline video opening always gives me the feels- it really takes me back 😢
I used to work right behind this location at Palmetto and Molino and had no idea it was right next to this location where Borderline was filled till one day on a walk on my lunch break I climbed up the steps to the East 4th St bridge, and voila. Funny how fate takes you places. Wish you had made this video sooner but I worked there 12 years ago. Great work still, and thanks for sharing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your channel, i am a70's born kid and I've watched every single one of these movies, you are so on point with your work. Can you go to the Poltergeist 1 neighborhood at some point, please please please🙌🏾
Great locaties, Scott and you have a great working together and filling each other on. I think the place with the stairs is also used in Repo Man 1984 version where you made a video about last year. Also also never knew this clip was filmed in LA, always tought it was NY.
Mahalo Kurt! When I was 11, I auditioned for her True Blue World Tour. I think I was the only kid at the audition who never had professional dance class. I was so nervous just to dance in front of strangers. Madonna ended up showing up to the audition to watch us perform. It was a surprise to us all! I had no rhythm but said *F*-IT* and did my best. Probably looked like Napoleon Dynamite. All the parents were allowed to come into the studio and watch. The part was for a kid to jump up on stage during her performance of *Open Your Heart* and dance with her like the video. Of course I didn:t get the gig, but I still have her autograph. It:s funny...I remember my Mom getting pissed at Madonna for not giving me her undivided attention while dancing. Love your videos Bruddah!
Man it’s about time I see you both in a full video together.😀 Scott is awesome and so are you Kurt. Got to see you guys with Grimm Life and Adam the Woo
Wow what a weird coincidence, the first video I ever watched of Scott on Tape was YESTERDAY (The Score filming locations in Montreal where I live), and now here he is again!
I always liked Madonna but the chord progression in the chorus always sounded depressing to me. Burning Up would be my all time fave. Still a cool video though, and great to see you guys finally together. Next up the Woo, Jordan or GiV?
of course, we know Scott on tape !!!! What up fellas , when I clicked on ur video I was like ... Wait ..................is this scotts page or Kirk's page lmao
Great collaboration cool spots that I have grown up around and worked at for the majority of my life and this song has always been my theme around three. The climactic end of Armed and Dangerous was at the bridge location as well. I had always tried to figure out the apartment building and newsstand used in the vid. I know one dude got into the photographers studio some years ago and posted its interior and was close to how it was in the video. I also remember some old bus drivers who drove out of the SCRTD "RTD" (Now MTA aka Metro) bus Division.1 at 6th & Alameda when they were making the video a lot of them stood outside watching and wondering who that girl was running around. One additional anecdote the boyfriend is her longtime DJ and collaborator Jellybean Benitez and there was a small breakthrough when the vid came out as it was a "First" inter-racial kiss on a mainstream music video. Its the anchor point of of my early life and when that amazing Playboy September 1985 issue came out and influenced my life forever. GREAT WORK ON THIS ONE!!!!!!!!!!
40 years old that song and she still going strong 🙌
It must be tough lip syncing at her age.
Scott is always amazed by parking lots . Love that guy ! “Hey Mista”
Woo, you gotta do a collab with Kurt next time you're out West. 👌
Big fan Adam
Hey Mista!
Hahhah hey Mista!!!! 😆
@thedailywoo thinking of an amazing parking lot to take him to for next time. Ha. Thank you for watching, Adam.
Live To Tell is one of my all time favorite songs by Madonna.
Me too!
OST from the movie "At Close Range"
Great idea the filming locations of video songs.
Scott is awesome and hilarious.
80’s! Woo! Scott on Tap? Whatttt???

Dude, I agree 100% on best song. I usually pick 'Like A Prayer', sweet song, but 'Borderline' is totally where it began. (48 y/o, duh)
Excellent collab!
Thank you!!
Perfect duo!
🙂 thank you!
Borderline is definitely my favorite Madonna song
Epic collab and I love the randomness of the subject, just goes to show that it doesn't have to be a huge movie to get you nostalgic.
Very fun video. Thanks for tracking down these obscure locations and making Scott dance👯! Take care.
I'm subscribed to Scott and I'm from Los Angeles. I'm happy to see this location. 4th street bridge! Awesome.
Love Madonna for over 35 years and this song. The scrunchies were a huge thing then.

I always thought Borderline was filmed in NYC. And yes, it was my first intro to Madonna. Went out and got her album on cassette.

Double the fun🇮🇪
Great songs in 80s
I always liked Madonna but the chord progression in the chorus always sounded depressing to me.
Burning Up would be my all time fave. Still a cool video though, and great to see you guys finally together. Next up the Woo, Jordan or GiV?
Too good
That Scott guy makes a pretty good assistant! I bet his channel will be very successful.

That place wad Harvey's Broiler before, and we had car cruises there in 80s and early 90s...
It blows my mind that those markings under the bridge are still the same after all these years! 🤯
Right??? Thank you for watching
Very cool!!! There is a place on 5th St., west of Los Angeles St., where Michael Jackson filmed too.
Omg that 300ZX! 😍
Hi! Thanks for another interesting, fun video! I'm curious...did you ever see the movies "Gotcha!" or "The Sure Thing"? Both were released in '85.
cool. i was actually delivering on those streets/area today.
