The way it folds is amazing. I had a convertible laptop, but putting it into tablet mode when I wanted to take notes was annoying. Now I have a Surface Pro, but sometimes I miss the laptop mode as the back support requires a larger table. With this HP you can go into any mode you want without lifting the darn thing. Love it
Yeah me too. My Surface Pro X is great but it's needs improvements as a laptop. Sadly this starts at $1700, the modem is $200-450 extra and it's not available until September. All of which are better on the Surface Pro X. Sadly clearly for the business market :(. Its also only 1920×1280.
For some reason it looks like the mixture of Smart Folio Keyboard and Magic Keyboard for iPad Pro, Hinge design and how it folds in the middle reminds of magic keyboard while the magnetic strip that it positions into reminds of Smart Folio Keyboard. It is a hybrid of both of them.
Windows isn't a tablet OS anyway so it's the wrong way to view them. They're not meant to take on iPads or Android tablets. The tablet portion is more for shem you don't need the keyboard.

If its not a 64-bit for Intel app, yes today. Is the app you're talking about 32-bit or 64-bit? Drivers for Intel aren't supported, which is the same as M1 Macs. I find minor lag using 32-Bit apps but I don't use heavy duty ones. The app restrictions aren't a problem for me. The battery, fanless design, never gets more than warm are major benefits of my Surface Pro X.

We've been using an Intel based HP Folio for the last two years that has the same screen setups, and a leather outer cover - it's been a superb laptop. The only flaw was a pen holder attached to the side, which tore off - the pen here is much better with storage & charging inside
I'm hesitant with Hp now. It used to be my dream manufacturer for a laptop but my Hp Zhan Pro, i5 8th Gen has keys that are not working. Backspace and enter.

i have a bad experience on HP spectre folio where the laptop itself won’t turn on & can’t be repaired by HP. they said that the leather is keeping the heat inside the laptop. looking at this model it is very similar to my old laptop. 🥲🥲
Unfortunately, no. Screen is not bright enough for outdoors and not color-accurate for professional color work. For that, you'll want something like an iPad.
I read ~400 nits. Ok, not spectacular. That's the problem: this is an ok laptop they're pricing super-expensive b/c of the fake leather. But the thing IS sexy and I love it, while resenting HP for the price gouge.

Great design as it overcomes the issues with the Surface Pro approach of not having a fully sturdy keyboard. At first it looks a negative the keyboard doesn't attach but Windows isn't a tablet OS anyway, so few use their Surface without a keyboard much. Don't see this as a problem.
It looks like a great device there. I would only have two concerns. how long it's joins will endure for how it folds and moves, and how complete the windows experience is.

You'll have to wait until at least 2023 before Samsung actually starts mass producing ARM chips for Laptops and Chromebooks, and get the process streamlined. Microsoft and Google's efforts on maturing Windows 11 and ChromeOS isn't really helping, ARM seems to be the last of their priorities.
