  • In this video I look at clearing a pool table. I give a running commentary as I plan my way through the clearance to help give an insight into how I'm getting position with the cue ball and keeping the clearance as simple as possible. Hopefully this step by step guide will understand the thought process when it comes to clearing the table in a game of pool.
    The shots are carried out on a 7ft Supreme Winner UK 8 ball table

    I like the fact that you just explain the potential options as many of us would have a different way of running out but there is always that way that makes he run extremely simple! Really clinical run and your communication skills is excellent very easy of the ear

      Thank you, appreciate that. And you're spot on, there are always loads of ways of making the clearance but a little planning can hopefully make it pretty simple.

    Another excellent video with a great break and run. I like the way you explain your thought processes and the potential different options and outcomes depending on how you play the shot. Many thanks 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Really well presented and helpful vid! 👏
    I have a request if you're up for it: Could you try show us a break & run from a less perfect spread, from a dodgier rack? In my league most tables are bobbly and unkempt, and almost impossible to get a perfect rack and most players reffing don't try too hard get it spot on anyway. Plus my break isn't always as solid as yours, so I'm usually looking at a much trickier layout after the break, with a breakout or two needed and a good bit of traffic.
    Thanks bud!

      Cheers. I have couple more of these where the balls aren't quite so nicely spread. I'll see if I can make one with a bad spread of the balls though.
      The 3rd clearance in the first video below has a fairly bad spread off the break.

    Really like your video. Are you able to do one explaining diamond system (plus system). I am a beginner and this system is so complicating to understand.

      Thanks. I’m sorry I’m afraid I can’t as I play English pool, and English pool tables don’t have diamonds.

    The first shot, could you have played a red into the yellow making the position easier? I mean, the rules you were playing, can you pot the yellow off a red?

    • @PoolSchool
      @PoolSchool  Před měsícem +1

      Unfortunately you can't do that in international rules. The colour you strike first is deemed the colour you where going for, so you were going for red but pot a yellow. This wouldn't be a foul but it is loss of turn and you wouldn't claim the yellows.

    What make and name of cue are you playing with?

    • @PoolSchool
      @PoolSchool  Před měsícem +1

      It’s a “Taylor Made” cue.
