You're absolutely right, rock stars have disappeared. I think it used to be, a band busted their asses playing all sorts of venues and traveled around to get known and I believe that was essential for a band to do, all the great bands did that until you didnt have to pay to go see or hear their music anymore and free downloads came around. The rest is history.

5 years late but Rick beato stated it best. He was a big music producer for decades. Turns out all the bands disappeared because it was cheaper to pay just 1 person rather than 4. Typically now producers construct and make the entire song, while the singer just sits there… “singing”. It all has to do with corporate greed.

agreed, how can these guys do Metallica reaction vids, and NOT do For Whom The Bell Tolls. (unless ofc they've both heard it before!!, which is entirely plausible). It is THE song, when on tour in 1984, made other bands stand up and take notice, saying they've never heard anything as heavy before. It's when Metallica properly stood head and shoulders above the rest of the Metal community, and they've never looked back.

James Hetfield wrote this song about Crib death. So about children that would just mysteriously die at night. The producer Bob Rock asked James to rewrite the lyrics as the first version was a little over the top. Hence the lullaby-like lyrics. "Hush little baby, don't say a word. And never mind that noise you heard. It's just the beast under your bed. In your closet, in your head."

You asked what happened to the rock superstars. Most of us older folks, 50+ can’t move on from the music and talent that has hardly ever been matched. Old school Rock and Roll, Led Zepplin, AC/DC, The Who, Aerosmith, Rush, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Bad Company, Heart, Frank Zappa-Sheik-yerbouti, Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, Thin Liszt-Jailbreak... pure raw talent. There were so many it’s hard to list them all and not miss some of the greatness. So glad to see you two doing this. It’s got to be hard when you start a review of something that’s hard to listen to. Thanks for what you do!!! Since I’m a newbe seeing your channel I can’t get enough. ✌🏼

My second favorite song by this band after "For Whom The Bell Tolls" "Enter Sandman" might be one of the best straight rocking songs ever made. It just kicks into gear and stays there throughout the entire song. I know a number of people who don't care for Metallica generally but think this song kills. Love to see a reaction to some Japanese bands like X-Japan's "Rusty Nail" or 1.G.K's" Most Beautiful Hands". There have been some really great bands out of Japan over that 20 years or so that have gone completely unnoticed in the west. Anyway great vid guys.

Well tbh metallica released an album little people know of; No life till leather and they released another one called jump in the fire, these werent popular but then they released kill em all with dave mustain and hit the lights/ seek and destroy were the ones to bring popularity. then ride the lightning which did become absolutely huge for thrash metal history but one of the most un-beaten and memorable albums was master of puppets...hands down (reason for the memorable part is cliff died after a live version for the release of MOP in sweden).. but my favourite is MOP and ...And justice for all...the reason why eveyrone liked metallica album (better known as black album) is becuz of Jason Newsted (bassist) becuz he wanted everything to be heavy and remain heavy...lars didnt like it but gave it a shot and is a very popular album...but then they went downhill from there (load & reload) and again jason hated this and lars+ james kicked him out of the band...and theyve gotten shitter ever since..but nonetheless im still a die hard metallica fan by far....

James Hatfield the front man for Metallica was raised in a hardcore Christian family. he wrote what he knew and he put a lot of religious themes in the music. The opening line "Say your prayers little one and don't forget my son" is obviously talking about god and jesus. Even in the break James quotes the bedtime prayer.
The whole song is about trying to be a good person when you have to face down all the evils in this world and resisting temptation.
