I was pretty darn enthusiastic at his Atlantic City concerts in the mid-late 90's when I was in my early 20's. I wonder if any of those old ladies I annoyed are reading this comment. 😂😂😂

Mathis always the consummate professional never had a fan join him on stage. And to be fair Mathis isn't the only entertainer who did not encourage fans to join him on stage. Performers from that era were of a different breed. Their primary focus was to entertain. Interaction with Fans was not a practice back then with the sole exception being Rock and Rollers who engaged in that type of thing. Either way Mathis was certainly not scared and he acknowledged the woman with his own little shimmy from the stage.
I can appreciate her enthusiasm for the song and Mr Mathis but…….her disrespect for those audience members near and behind her is obvious. (P.S., her actions would have been more appropriate at a Madonna or Beyoncé concert.)
