Johnny Mathis has one of the best voices ever to record
I remember listening to Johnny when I was very young. My mother always played his music on her record player. His voice flowed threw the house. Being a child of 5 years old I knew nothing about music but I was captivated by his voice. When my mother would put me down for a nap I would lay there and listen to his wonderful voice and his songs and I would drift away to sleep. My mother said she never had trouble putting me to sleep for my naps because I would tell her "put the pretty music on". When it was summer time the window in my room would be open just enough and the warm breeze would come in and I would picture Johnny in my room. My husband to be had not heard of him until my father called me one day and said he had 2 tickets and wanted to know if I would be interested in seeing him in concert. This was back in the middle 70's. I told my husband he would fall in love with this man and his voice. I was that confident and I was that certain he would. We got the tickets and my seat was at the end of the row. When Johnny came on he came running down the hall right beside me. I almost fainted. When he started to sing you could hear a pin drop. I started crying his voice was so beautiful and he was right there in front of me. And after, we were in our car I turned to my soon to be husband and said "well, what do you think of Johnny Mathis"? He had tears in his eyes. He said he thought he was the most wonderful singer. He felt what I felt. Two years later we were married. I thought "he is a keeper. We have gone to Johnny 's concerts many times. I love the song Memories so much I actually cry threw that whole song. Love you Johnny.
Mr. Mathis--thank GOD you chose to sing, endowing the music world with your beautiful voice!!!! (I thank GOD, too, you were not hurt or killed in the blaze that took your home!) You have always been, and will always be, a class act!!! Much love!!!
I love his voice. I started listening to Johnny Mathis at the age of 14. I am now 67 and have enjoyed every year of his music. His music is smooth and romantic. I will listen to him forever. Thank you Johnny Mathis for continuing to bring us beautiful music.
I am 56 years old now...My Grandmother played Johnny Mathis when I would visit her & loved his music...And I have been listening to & enjoying Mr. Mathis since I was 10!...

Johnny Mathis is one classy guy, and definitely a much more modest and even humble human being. He very recently lost his house of 56 years in a raging fire while he was performing in Los Angeles.Mathis told reporters at the scene that the blaze had caused extensive damage, and that only a few things had been saved. But even in his time of grief and sadness he went on and said "'I'm OK, nobody got hurt -- that's always important and that things can always replaced.Well said Mr Mathis, I'm sorry for the things you lost, but the important things are still with you - your life and your family and friends. God Bless you .

I started going to Johnny Mathis concerts when I was 15 years old with my Mom. I fell in love with him I started taking my daughters they are big fans they are in their 30s. We will talk to all of Johnny's musicians after the concert. Just great memories

Nice memories for me! As a recently married girl from England and a small new house, I lates in bed at night which was one of the few pieces of furniture we had, listening to the radio, and Johnny Mathis! I adored him! My husband still at work, Johnny was such a comfort!!
Just saw Johnny live last Saturday 10/29/22 for the first time. He looks and sounds fantastic at age 87. Been listening to him since age 4❤

I just had the pleasure seeing you perform at the count Basie Theatre in Red bank New Jersey along with my husband and my 20 year old Son .. who happens to be a Singer and sings all kinds of genre from your era and now..But he's hooked on the the classic of the past ..they are timeless just as you are too! we were all so glad to see you ..I just lot my Dad 2 weeks before and your singing and performance brought me back in time watching you and listening to you sing with my Parents Grandparents ..and now my Husband of 32 years and both my Sons.. I Cannot thank you enough ..Dreams really do come true and you made that happen for me ... My son is an independent film producer would love to do a story on you if your ever interested.. My favorite all time male vocalist!! Learned to sing because of him and I learned beautiful love songs that I never thought existed. I want to record an album covering his songs and dedicate the album to him.
Its 2023 and im 81 now i loved Johnny from being in my teens i was lucky enough when i worked in Kendel Milne in Manchester England and Johnny was singing at the Odean he asked me would i show him the way to the mens department i was on cloud 9😊

Johnny still looks so handsome at the age of 80. I am one of the lucky ones who received two kisses from him last April 24, 2016 at the INB Performing Arts Center in Spokane, WA. I just love the guy, he is so humble, so simple and very courteous.
