Back from Narnia? ;)
@@virginiabugbee5973 Yes, magical, distant, long forgotten land of Migraineania :)
Thanks for doing this. I would like to avoid debt by building something for myself and quality content like yours will maka all the difference.
You got it, that is one of the many reasons I made the channel. If you keep it simple you can get a nice house built on a budget.
It's really coming together, nice affordable place for someone.
And out from the pantry he came. 🤗
I'm going to miss seeing this home. Really love it.
Hope the migrain didn't last all day.
I like small spaces :)
I like your humor!!
Very good. You are using solid doors. I hate the hollow ones
These look really good once you put some stain on them.
Looking good!
😂a magical getaway thru the pantry. I like the pine. Nice. Have a great week😊
:)
Looks very nice. Just beginning to do my inside. You make doors look easy. Hope your headaches get better. Amazed you can work at all.
I can work with a headache but migraine is hard to do any substantial work. I still try to get in there and maybe clean or get ready for the next day so I don't feel like I wasted a day.
Your living my dream job.:)
Wake up and go get it!
well done! 👍😁
/cheers
If you keep a good consistent upload schedule, you're going places buddy
Thank you for that, once I get a bit bigger and can afford it, I wouldnt mind "going places" and helping some of you out for a day or two.
@@MigraineCraftsman That sounds good too, but I was referring to your sub count blowing up.
Simple and nice, good work.
Its looking so good!
Great video! I am a new subscriber 😊 excited to see some future videos!
Welcome aboard
I want to do a small build in Texas. I was thinking of doing a container home, but I think just doing a small build will be a lot better.
Small build would be simple if you keep it to like 20 by 20. You have to check your utility connection prices and permits, sometimes you have to go to other cities if some are expensive.
Looking great. Its really spacious feeling, seems so much bigger than it is! Kitchen looks wonderful. It still looks like the camera is giving too much priority to exposing the windows rather than inside. You may want to shoot manual and just blow out the windows a bit so we can see what you are working on better. It looks much better at around 3:20. I love that door.
Thx man, this blackmagic camera already saved me a lot of footage. I spoke to my photographer and he said to start using better interior lighting to make up the difference in exposure.
Good morning as always lol, even though it is 10:08 pm
Good morning, pushing midnight here.
This house is so cute 😊. We are wanting to put pocket doors in our little house to save space. We have been watching videos on how to install them and it doesn’t look too difficult, what do you think? 😊
Pocket doors are ok, but if they are installed wrong they can be a pain. I like barn doors more but you have to have room for the rail on top to make those work.
Looking good. Are the 2 bathrooms gonna be cooled/heated as part of the minisplit system?
The bathrooms will have a heater in the ceiling but no AC. With the door cracked open it will not be an issue since they are small and well insulated.
You are a hoot
That's a nice looking door there. It will look good with the stain and updated hardware. How's the A/C system coming along?
A big mess, I just don't get some people.
@@MigraineCraftsman I hate that this happened on your first mimi-split build. Hope this doesn't deter you from using mini splits in the future cause they are very efficient.
@@natej6671 I like the mini split idea, so I will use it again, just from a different company. This is part of construction some people just dont give a $#@! about anyone just themselves and the money.
Hey man love the videos. FYI 95% of headaches come from a poorly functioning gallbladder. If you’re interested look into taking purified bile salt supplements prior to eating. I’m not a doctor but this could help especially if you don’t have a gallbladder.
Thank you, never looked into that.
Looking good. I have a question, though. The kitchen/living area seems a bit narrow. How much cost would it have added to add 4 more feet in that area to be a little more roomy? (Not including the added cabinets and flooring - just the foundation and walls and roof.)
Also, would you be willing to tell us your first name? I feel like we know you, and yet don't know what to call you. ;)
Adding 4 more feet would add up, (4x24) = 96 square feet of foundation, framing, roofing, finishing. I would guess about 5K after it's all said and done.
Hi there. Absolutely love your approach to affordable housing. For many years now, I have wanted to help people in a similar way. In the next month, I will be selling a condo in TX and will be looking at building an affordable home. I was wondering if I could reach out to you for guidance/advice? I’ve been researching Mighty Small Homes - they’re basically kit homes. Do you think going that route would be even more affordable? What is your opinion on SIP kit homes? Thank you!
Hello,
If you can find affordable sips I do like them. But if you frame a house the old fashioned way you can save some money like I do here, you just have to connect with the right people.
Construction labor now a days is hard to find so that might be a challenge, but it can be done.
Thank you very much for the advice. Did you have to have your floor plans approved by a draftsman and engineer?
@@shaneduyvenedewit5197 No, when I make them they are good to go in most areas.
Would you be willing to sell your blueprints? I have drawn my own floor plans using home.by.me (available for free online), but the program doesn’t produce exterior elevations, nor blueprints. Any suggestions?
@@shaneduyvenedewit5197 I will eventually
where are you Migraine Craftsman?
Take Magnesium, 400mg daily, no more headaches.
How much has it costed in total so far
I'll show the total cost at the end, stay tuned.
There is no reason to install doors while they are still on the frame. It's more complicated that way. Every time you move the door you lose your fine tuning adjustments. It's rather easier to take doors off the frame, take out door stops and then proceed with installation. Also you can finish doors while doors are off to avoid any stain, varnish or paint smudges, not to mention none of it will get on to the hinges. Installing doors yourself is great idea, people charge arm and leg for doors installations, excellent money saving tip right here.
My boy needs to smoke some weed. Legit will probably fix your migraine problems. I get migraines as well.
