@@ThiagoLobato let’s me assist… Paul wrote the drum parts for the God Hates Us songs. Somehow Dave being the drummer he is made it sound even more perfect. The third drummer outside them just plays way too fast over songs he never created.
I think the key piece is Paul for some reason always sounds kinda slow with his fills, drum rolls and foot work(even on the songs we writes).
I would rank the 3 drummers by Dave being the best > Paul > Jon
Jon had a strong good effort but just feels like all speed and no soul. He makes Paul sounds like John Bonham.

As a drummer of 40 years (since I was 6) , Bostaph, and Nicko McBrain are my all time favorites because I fused their styles, and Paul was/is is a big fan of Nicko. I love their control, relaxation when playing (little effort), groove, great cymbal work, and accuracy. there is much more to playing drums than being FAST. Lombardo is a legend no doubt, but just to sloppy overall, and he's always "overplayed" imo. Also he flails around far to much and doesn't have much "groove". I don't like Dette at all because I've seen him play with Slayer and he messes up FAR to often. So does Lombardo, but he doesn't care lol. I don't know that I've ever heard, nor seen Paul "mess up". Much like Nicko McBrain, they are both flawless to me.

Also listen to how solid and in the pocket Bostaph is with Testament, Forbidden, Exodus etc. That control, and solid playing is just so much better than Lombardo and Dette. Also listen to songs like Killing Fields, SS-3, Dittohead, and one of Pauls finest songs of all time, Gemini. Those other guys weren't NEARLY as creative as he is/was. Pauls drum sound was also superior.

    1) Lombardo - has incredible double kick technique and stamina, classic fills and I think he grooves more than the other two. 2) Bostaph - because of his incredibly technical fill/ drumming style and amazing playing on Divine through GHUA. Unfortunately, his fast double kick skills have significantly regressed over the years. I saw Slayer with him several times and his kick drums almost always seemed really sloppy or non-existent on the fast double kick parts. 3) Dette - should've been more than a hired gun. I'm not going to say any is "better" cuz obviously they all totally SLAM and it's a tough comparison with this footage cuz I think Paul's angle and audio is bad and we can't see or hear the footwork but I know I LOVE the albums he wrote his parts and played on. Dave wins by default cuz he wrote the damn parts and still slays it and Jon is pretty unreal and energetic and adds some extra feeling & flare.

Sadly Paul doesn't have many good sounding videos but if you look past that you can tell he is an amazing drummer. His drumming on the albums he did is amazing but weirdly he plays different live and he uses (in my opinion) a really shit sounding kit live. Dave is a pioneer of the genre and an amazing drummer aswell. Jon is one, if not my favorite drummer of all time. His style is similar to Dave's but turned up to 11. His kit sounds amazing and his speed and super accurate drumming is unmached by the other two. He also played with slayer AND anthrax the show those clips were from. So he had to play like 60 minutes with anthrax, 20 minute break and then 90 minutes with slayer. The man is a beast.
Edit: Also Paul messed up the angel of death kick fill when I saw him so it wasnt a one time thing in that clip.
