Paul never played and never plays cleanly. Not even on the albums. You can hear that at some point he can't do it anymore and fills the gaps with irrelevant fills. He's ok, but absolutely not a world drummer.

Dave to me has the best feel of course he wrote the parts definitely one of the best metal drummers of all time one of my personal influences sconce I started playing when I was 9 years old

Rob Dukes! I am listening eXodus since Tempo of the Damned, but Shovel Headed Kill Machine + the two Exhibitions are my favorite albums. I watched them in the summer of 2008, the stadium of Kavarna (Bulgaria), co-headlining with Overkill, one of the best events in my life.

I do love Lombardo but Dette is the best and Bostaph is the weakest among them. Especially what Bostaph does in Angel of Death is a shame compared to the other two.

My ranking would be: 1. Lombardo for the creativity and the animal energy (varying its play during songs). 2. Paul Bostaph brings a lay back technic which brings a ton of heaviness to the same songs (you can hear it even further on the album Shovel Headed Kill Machine from Exodus). 3. Jon Dette is really good but putting the rythmn too much in front, which gives a sensation of emergency and it loose the heaviness of Slayer.

Jon dette totally kicks ass too.

Dave looks like he's having fun. John and Paul look like their at work.

Obviously Lombardo is on top. Lombardo has the power,Paul is more technical with not as much power but Jon Dette has the speed and power of Lombardo and the technique to match Paul. All great drummers but Jon Dette is under appreciated and doesn’t get any credit.
