I like how there's snow on the ground drivers are on fire suits and tuners are in big jackets. Them they put the girl In some cat dress freezing
japanese girls can withstand cold weather. this is fact coz most of them can even wear short skirt on normal winter days.
I like how they put these guys in questionably modified cars, have them risking their lives for our entertainment.. And you're more worried about the girl, who's one job is to look cute, because she might be chilly? LOL! White Knight mode 100+!

It is honestly one of the best series to show that power isn't everything.
Couldn't be a better demonstration that on the twisties, power means nothing and handling is king.

Everyone loved the revolution 86. Note however how Orido wishes there was abit more power for the car

Iheartgt86 thats not what japanese tuners mean when they say balance, Most do seek neutral handling but hey are refering to balance on a larger scale, balance between all componets in the drivetrain, suspension, tires, and brakes. Any one of these going to far out of balance will ruin a car. To much or to little of anything in ratio to the rest is a problem. Cars can be under or over tired, and the same goes for springs, dampening, HP, brakes, etc. Everything must work in conjuction.
You are the sole reason why AE86 has become the iconic car of history.
Revolution: Balanced, needs more power.
Rasty: Too much power
Kanki: Comprimised handling with heavier front end. Sounds the best though.
Amuse: Too much power.
Rasty's powerband is too small.

I wonder if they went for E85 and more aggresive tuning to squeeze a little bit of extra power out of the Revolution 86 it may add enough to satisfy them.
Revolution 86 is my favorite personally.

I want a 86 so bad! Im not about power or drifting, I want a rwd car with a 6 speed, reliability and light weight. Not to mention the 86 is one of the sexiest body styles of any Japanese car in history..
That turbo 450 is ridiculous lol. But the lightweight one is also so quick in the corner

Another reason why I just upgraded the suspension & tires on my stock 86, grips like a mofo & super fun with the stock engine.
The 86's stock engine is whats keeping me from getting one, friend of mine blew 3 engines (and he's not the type to blow engines just like that), weak factory connecting rods being the issue.
Have they fixed that yet?
Personally I’d get a shorter final drive too, but that’s just me

I'd go with STI package and ez30 swap. Not even new fa24 matches this combination. Ez30 outperforms fa24 and sounds amazing!

Actually Porsche helped in the development of this engine, particularly in it's second stage ez30Dll, helping with vvt both for intake and exhaust system.

tobjord that automatic turbo 86 looks kinda interesting though. No one in their right mind would dare to tune a shitty version of a good car like the 86
At some point Revolution needs to add *some* power. Their cars have so much potential. A pretty good NA build would do wonders.
FA20 suck for NA build. Maybe a FA24 swap when those are fully figured out. Beyond bolt ons and E85 you are pretty much at it max potential.
HKS makes a 2.1L stroker with a cam package that adds something like 10whp on-top of a full bolt on E85 car. Hardly worth the 5k+ for 99% people. Or you can buy their complete engine package for a Ludacris price.
That turbo 86 had to be like trying to ride a wild 🐂!
