LPS made their way through the Freš selection, more than justifying RTV’s focus on promoting new talent; the band stormed the grand final televote, finishing on a total of 103 points. Batista Cadillac finished second, with BQL in third.

Reading some comments here and elsewhere made me want to leave this comment. It's important to understand that "Disko" here refers to a disco club, not the music genre (the song is jazzy-funk, not disco), so the people who say that the band's vibe doesn't correspond to the disco music are missing the point. When I first saw this performance, I remember thinking that the song was excellent, quirky, and a piece of great music, but that the singer was lacking charisma almost completely, and thought that he would have to change his attitude for ESC. Then I watched them in a another live with a different song (it was a soul) where you can clearly see a completely different charisma in Filip (the singer), and I understood that his vibe in "Disko" was a deliberate choice. He's acting stiff and slightly awkward on purpose: it's a loving mock of the attitude of the early 70s easy pop singers, "nice guys", who are well-behaved and nicely dressed on stage and sing "nicely", contrary to the "crazy" "half naked" "screaming" rockers of the time.
He sounds and behaves like a singer in a band playing on a hotel terrace somewhere in a Mediterranean resort in 1972, or a participant in a summer music festival in Yugoslavia. A risky move, as there is a large possibility a very few people would get this, but it adds a ton to the quality of the performance and the vibe. Top 3 for me, I listen to it daily and would have voted for it if I lived in a ESC country.

People are heavily underrating his singing skills. The singer is incredibly talented, his voice is so clean and accurate. Unfortunately people will only listen to the type of song and discard it.

Do people realise how incredibily good this song is? No, they mostly don't! Just listen to those chords, to the instrumentation in this... and the fact these boys, aged 17 to 19, are all playing their instruments impeccably! This song must absolutely qualify and do well - I hope the juries, who are allegedly music experts, will recognise the song's merits and reward it accordingly. Due to the language and a kind of self-irony of vulnerable, youthful creation and sympathy, there may be a lack of understanding on the wider stage. I see that the name confuses people here: place of "event" is a disco, not a genre. :)

I love the tableau, I love the lights, the outfits, the sound, the instruments, everything! But most of all, I love the song!! It's one of my favourite genres, and I just vibe. Also, might I just say the amount of personality throughout this video; the looks given to each other and the camera, the movements and gestures, the bouncing: makes its feel alive and loved. They stilt when the beat stops, like it's the thing keeping them going. ALSO THEIR POSES AT THE END, AGHHHHH!!! Not to mention how despite them all wearing similar outfits (suit, shirt, slacks), they each have a distinctive look and part of it that makes them unique. Their smiles man, I sob. I should not be this hyped for this band, but damn, I can't say I don't have my hopes up. I really hope they get through and that people recognise their talent!!!
Reading some comments mention his lack of stage presence. Personally I don't see it, I feel like his subdued nature adds to the overall liveliness of the song and it contrasts with the groove the rest of the band expresses. Feels like on a stage of high energy, he is calm, and the smoothness of his voice emphasizes this. It's laid-backed when it needs to be and charming when the song hits those funky notes. Of course, this is a personal opinion, I ain't no music or stage expert! I just really love this song

@@otakudanieru the lads are young boys instead of older men, the guitar is prominent giving more of a funk as opposed to big band, and the chord progressions are very aggressive in their changes. It just hits such a lovely balance 😍

After a few listens this became my #1 favourite this year, I really hope it qualifies for the final, despite being low in the odds (and very underrated in general)! And the band is really talented (can't believe they are my age!), sending tons of love to LPS❤🇸🇮
They are teenagers between 17-18 years old. Been playing music since they were 14. They are talented and he has a good voice. I like it very much and hope we will see them in the Grand Final. For me this is one of the best this year. If all the other bad soncs win thru it's a shame. But often I like the songs who comes last. Like Portugal 2018. Cheers from Norway.

Musically wise, this is by far the best song. This chord scheme is so dynamic, exciting and sublime! The main melody also really pops out due to the unique microphone sound and the beautiful Slovenian language. Also, there are so many augmented chords in this song, which I totally loveeeeeeeee
