Anyone who speaks more than one language should be applauded. You speak English with a Filipino accent. I guess it’s because you’ve lived in the Philippines for a long time. I envy the fact that you speak Tagalog very well. I am an American of Filipino descent and I am not able to speak Tagalog fluently. However I understand it 100%.

I just recently stumbled upon your videos and i like your insights..i found this vid that showed you speaking in a Batanguena accent very entertaining: you sounded just like a true-blue Batanguena. The way you speak in English/Taglish reminds me of my former Korean students who also grew up here and thus have acquired the Filipino accent: the way you speak is clearly understood, with just the right temo. To me, your voice sounded husky, not siga or astig. Good singing voice, i think. By the way, I am a Batanguena too, and i am curious where in Batangas you grew up 😀

I don't. I tend to switch the channel whenever there's a "batangueno character" on screen. I can't stand the "ala eh" at the beginning of their every phrase (which is the case most of the time).
I'm pretty sure I've seen her content popping in my feed before but it's the first time I'm watching it likewise, making a comment. I usually dislike watching this kind of content and thought it would be just one of those people on TV pulling up the awful batangueno accent for "cultural integration" but to my surprise, she really has one.
This is just me commending her authentic accent and it has nothing to do with her appearance or with her race. I'm just glad to hear a nonpretentious accent (something I personally find rare on-screen).

You are an incredible woman with the ability to communicate in English, Korean, and a combination of Tagalog-Ala eh. I was born in Bantangas but I never really learned how to speak Tagalog in Batangueno tone fluently because I was very young when we moved from Santo Tomas, Batangas to Cebu, then Antique, and finally settled in Iligan City. I have been living here ever since and pursued my education from high school to college. Although I identify more as a Cebuano, I am also proficient in speaking both Tagalog and English. However, I must admit that I am genuinely impressed by your intelligence and how well you understand various subjects based on the way you speak. Your speaking style resembles that of an academician, with a clear and articulate manner of expressing yourself. I find it cool how you present yourself and project your thoughts. There is something about your Batanguena accent that is lyrical, gripping and funny all at once. Gripping in the sense that it grabs the listener and doesn't let go. Reminds me so much of Batanguena Ho. She's funny and is endowed with a great personality. Maybe that's the word I was looking for. Your Batanguena accent has so much personality. It is important to learn languages whether they are the main language or dialect.
Languages enlarge your world literally. If you learn french you can work and live in french speaking countries and so on and so forth!
Do not let politicians tell you to only learn your regional language. They never want the best for you only for them.
Astig can also mean awesome. But yes Batangas accent has an inflection. Ang ala eh meron din minsan sa tagalog at quezon pero magkakaiba ang tono.
Anyway treat that accent as gold. You will bring smiles to many much like a visayan accent does.
Don't mind it much if they do unless and only if they seriously and intentionally try to put you down many times. Then it is time to give a butterfly kniife exhibition of sorts...

In Luzon, different towns or cities of a province speak with different accents and intonations like in Bulacan and Rizal provinces. There is a Paombong, a Baliwag, (etc.) accents in Bulacan. In Rizal, there is strong accent in the town of Cainta.

Kaya kpag lumabas ako hindi ko n maintindihan ang koreans n nag kwekwentuhan. To be honest kaya hindi ako natuto kc hindi ako naging interesado s korean words, basta pumunta ako doon pra magtrabaho lng. Nagsisi ako n dpat pla natuto ako s language ninyo kc nkapg asawa ako ng pilipina n korean citizen at siya nmn ay fluent s korean language. After 6 years naghiwalay kami at d2 s pinas kasama ko ang anak nmin n korean citizen.

voice change in different languages because of the different way they pronounce words and the way they construct words. like in some languages they use more round and firm "a,i,u,e,o" sounds like in tagalog while in english its more monotonous, and in korean you use more higher pitch...

Hi, I enjoyed your video. I think it is natural that when one speaks in another language, the voice needs to adjust to accommodate the other language's sounds, accent, expressiveness and nuances.
I can attest to that because I too speak a few languages. I have to pause a bit to change my thinking to the other language. My default language is English (American). In addition, I also speak Spanish, French and Japanese in varying degree of fluency. I know Tagalog, Ilocano and Cebuano, believe it or not :)
    Your language skills are excellent!
