You speak tagalog like a true native pinay. Nobody will think that you were not born and raised in pinas..

Actually "pangalan" means name while "pangngalan" means noun, a word that labels an object, thing, idea, or concept. You're actually very fluent in Filipino Tagalog. You should get together with other CZcamsrs who are relatively fluent in Tagalog like Hana Cho and Kristypata. Also with Sylvia Kim and eventually Jessica Lee who know a bit of Tagalog but not as well.

I'm ethnically Tagalog, born and raised in the city of Manila. I say your tagalog is Manila standard, hindi siya malalim like Southern Luzon or Bulacan tagalog (you'll have to take your Pilipino lessons too seriously to keep up with those two) but you're good at the tagalog you know and don't worry, even us tagalogs have difficulty with archaic (old) and puristic tagalog spoken in those two regions.

It's really fun too see Koreans who grew up here in the Philippines share their life story.. what's more amazing is the Tagalog journey. And what I really appreciate in all of them is that no matter how long they stayed here and eventually lived here in our country is that they never forget their mother tongue. Yung tipong Koreans can live anywhere in the world but not knowing how to speak Korean is non-negotiable. Alam kung case to case basis pero majority of Koreans and other Asian countries are like that. At sana tayong mga Pinoy ganon din. Na no matter where we are, we can still speak Tagalog confidently. Na hindi naman kailangan English ang tinuturo sa bata agad kasi eventually, as manifested by our Korean kababayans, the child will naturally adopt to its environment.

What you do really well is that you fully embrace the tagalog accent and colloquial syntax into your speech which makes it sound so much more natural regardless of how many words you really know. I'm 100% Filipino but I have an eastern american/british sounding accent due to my upbringing so even though I'd like to think I know a lot of "malalim" na words I still sound foreign because I don't speak in a way you locally would.

Omo. Google translate is not Filipino Language - friendly hahahahaha.

actually you're lucky you can speak 3 languages at any given time. you're like a car's gear, you can instantly shift from any of 3 the languages. you're a polyglot and it's just so-so amazing! imagine, you're so fluent with tagalog while me or any other Pinoy could not even inunciate properly the "saranghye" or "annyeong" words and could not even memorize it's meaning? demn. yours is a skill. that's dexterity! I envy you, honestly.🙂👍

How come? LOL. I would understand if you’re from Visayas or Mindanao or lives somewhere in Northern Philippines. However, people from the regions I mentioned can understand Filipino fluently, though, they’re not as fluent as when they’re speaking it. Unless you live a very sheltered life with western/colonial upbringing? 🧐

It's understandable if you're not from any Tagalog-speaking region, but if not, then that's embarrassing in so many levels. There's no special trick or whatsoever to learn Tagalog if you're in the Philippines, you only need to go outside and interact with people who speak it.
