Every diesel car I've ever owned was tuned and I've done more than 150k km's on every single one when tuned. These were BMW's, Alfa's, VAG diesels and Renaults. No point in not tuning them when it's so easy to get extra performance for the cost of a few fuel tank loads, you get better fuel economy at no extra costs too becuase the car actually struggles less in daily driving. Maybe your engine will run for 500k km in total instead of 700k km as it would stock, big deal.

I have the same engine in my 2017 Golf with 80k miles remapped to 150hp but has the DQ200 gearbox in it. Does anyone know if the gearbox should be serviced as VW claims its lifelong/sealed.

I want to tune my 1.6HDI Citroen C4 (2009) its got the EGS box though and it slips in 2nd without needing to (the clutch is fine) the electronic are over sensitive on it

These little 1.6TDI engines are a stage 1 tuning dream!
Speaking from experience, had a 2019 A3 & it properly ripped; sure you weren't the fastest thing on the road but you could haul some serious ass if you wanted to.
Still miss my little gray rocket sometimes, once the value drops I'll be picking on up again for good ol' times sake
I still have a 1.6tdi a3 sport and got beaten by a bottom of range bmw x1 with some old bloke driving it, so not really lol

Calv, what device and app dyu use for draggy times?
Is stage 1 reliable? Or Will it bring problems? I want to to a remap to but i am afraid for trouble. Have a ford fiesta 2017 1.5 tdci 85hp and 215 nm standard think after remap it Will have 120 and 270 nm. Anyone van help with some info?

I've a mk6 golf with the same engine and I was wondering about getting a stage 1 tune but the cars milage (225k km/ 140k miles) has me worried that it'll blow up on me!

Hello, have the same A3 1.6TDI 81kw/110hp tuned for 2yrs fully arround 150hp and now I am thinking and would like to hear your opinion about putting the turbo charger from the same car but 2.0 135kw and make a "fine" tune so all the parts work correctly?
Is it possible and does it put the engine at risk? Don't need crazy results just to have a little bit more punch when accelerating

I’ve got a 1.6TDI A3 2015.
It came with the 2L turbo, got it mapped and it’s at 180HP

I heard Stage 1 remaps were shit on the gearbox/clutch on these cars? Ive held off getting mine done because of it
Why?
i mean if the price for the satge one is fair maybe its worth it, but for the smaller cars like this you dont gain that much performance gain for your money, my dad spent 1000euros on a stage 1 for a 911 porsche 991.2 and went from 370 hp with around 480Nm torque to 476hp and arround 650Nm torque, and in that case it was money well spent for the performance gain
It's all in percentage, actually both Porsche and Audi gained 30% of the power. 30hp on a 100hp makes a difference, you could barely feel 30hp gain on Porsche.
@@tvrtkocro28 well, the satge 1 we did on our porsche, we definitely felt the difference😅, we even have the result graph on a plastified paper.
