- Come along with Mary and I on a road trip to historic Glasgow, KY as we seek out “Monroe County Style” BBQ. Stick around as we also take you on a walking history tour of Civil War actions that took place right here in Glasgow.
He really enjoys his food, He really gets after his food. Like a hungry 15 year old . I see other food review channels and they just pick and play with the food. Mr Goodall really lets you know this is some good stuff without saying a word.
@@eecajledo8430 thank you. I do love some good food.
Congrats on 5 million, and as always a great production!!!😊
@@michaelschmidt3035 thank you.
The meat looked very good along with the hash brown casserole. Your daughter is a champ for putting up with dad.
Thank you! She’s the best,
Wow,I remember when I first subscribed how young Mary was.I have two daughters and it doesn't take long for them to grow up...GREAT VIDEO AS USUAL,KEEP IT UP.
Yes, time is flying by. Thanks so
Much.
My mother’s side of my ancestry both her mom and dad and previous folks are from the Glasgow area in Barren County via Tennessee, West Virginia and the first colonies founded in America. I spent a lot of time in “Glasgow” in my youth, had a few prominent leaders, attorneys and judges, and lots of farmers, too. Many are all buried in Glasgow Cemetery and various church cemeteries: Reynolds, Jones, Edwards, Atkinson, Travis, Reid and Crockett, and yes I am also related to Davy Crockett. 😘 Thank you for the history tour Barry!
Barry, and this is from the heart, can anybody remember an intro with suttle music and display the town? great work Barry, glad to know you and realy enjoy your adventures.Bill north.
@@tico4940 thank you Bill. Nobody understands my mission like you do.

Hi, I'm from California, near Los Angeles and I started following your videos because I've been curious about Kentucky. Thanks for showing a bit of the towns you visit, along with the restaurants.
@@LaPelotaenlaCabeza thank you. Glad you joined me on my adventures through Kentucky.
@@goodallscountrykitchen Congratulations on all those views as well! Is there a chance you could show a bit more of the highways getting to those towns?
@@LaPelotaenlaCabeza sure thing.
I grew up in Munfordville, KY, which is about 23 miles from Glasgow. I love the pork shoulder that you get in that part of the state. I enjoyed your history lesson. Great video, as always!

Your videos just get better. I really like the history and also the mouth watering bbq. Nice to see Mary along. Thanks Barry!
@@johncornell3665 thank you. I have a lot of fun with the history segments.
Mr. Goodall let Mary read this,it's for her! Mary next time you go to a restaurant with your dad, I see that you order a burger and fries and dad always takes something from your plate, sometimes without your consent as seen on your face. Well, it's time you turn the table and start taking food from his plate, and not once but every time!!!!
@@pastadoll we both share every time.
Great 👍 video great to see 👀 your daughter out with you today thanks great insights

Hey Berry I just wanted to say thanks. This video helped make my 4th of July weekend in Glasgow 100 times better😁
@@hanksbest-frend2491 you’re welcome!
This place looks like I need to make a stop! Not too far from me. You should try Stellians in Central City, KY. GREAT food and across the street a nice small park paying tribute to hometown natives the Everly Brothers, Merle Travis, John Prine and others. Just ate there over the weekend and great Chicago pizza, baseball sized deep fried mushrooms, and in house fried pork skins.

Clean little town
Born and raised in Glasgow! We use to have a place called Big Moose’s BBQ. I wonder if it’s the same? I’ve got to go Big Man BBQ! It opened after I got married and moved to Etown. But I’ve been chasing the hot sauce Big Moose’s use to have for their pork shoulder and this looks just like it!!
@@midwestguitars very cool.
I love historical places, the food looks great. I've been meaning to ask you how's your dad doing?
@@jesusisluv2905 he’s doing b great. Thank you,
You should do a video on the Settle family of the Finney community in Barren County. First rifle makers in the area. Very interesting history.
I just might have to.

Try Bucky B’s bbq in cave city right off the exit. Local special you can ask for… Bbq samwich with 1 side all for under $6 and they give you plenty of bbq on the samwich!! Just ask for the “jive” and that is the special you will get. No way you will get bbq for that price with a side ANYWHERE! Onion rings are spot on as a side

Just had to watch this episode when I saw it was Glasgow….. my home city. But not this one, the original one in Scotland! Glasgow, Kentucky looks a bit different from Glasgow, Scotland. Food looks amazing though.
Bit of info - Glasgow is Scots Gaelic and it means “Dear green place”.

Stay away from the Hart County caves…..tip from a friend in Louisville.😂
@@johndever8481 why’s that?
@@goodallscountrykitchen just sent you Zookies, Naples, Fl info. Back in the day when you were still Burmese pythoning your baby bottle, when someone on the outside with certain people came up missing, visiting Hart County was the response. County full of fall into surface cave holes, which had, according to local legend, handy uses.

Yes sir!!
I’m from Glasgow and I know from an inside source that Big Man’s isn’t what it seems. Everyone always claims they have the best food, hospitality, etc. but, they do not know what goes on behind closed doors. In all honesty, the food is mediocre. All of it you could fix at home for cheaper and it’d probably taste better too!! And I’ve also been told they treat their employees like crap! I’ve heard the owners are selfish! Would never give this place another dime of your hard earned money…👎
@@stealthyshark137videos2 uh huh. Yawn.
If your not a big man before eating, you'll be one after.
