    I have tried multiple tutorials on creating a sketch from a photo and this is the best one for me so far. I am doing a landscape. It's still not right but it's the best result so far. If she had one that was intended for a landscape, that would be awesome.....

      One improvement I think that could be made on this is to make the original copy a smart object. That way you can go back and tweak settings based on the image.

    I absolutely couldn't understand the keyboard shortcut she said at 6:20 and it drove me insane! It was hard to find out what it is doing searches online too! Eventually I did find the shortcut - mentioned in another PS vid. It is SHIFT + ALT + CTRL + E

    The speed had my head reeling so I must have missed the part where this is made into an 'Action'. I've been using Corel Painter mainly for some time and am rusty on Photoshop so need a bit of hand holding. I also only know to use PS5 so if any of these features are missing in my version I'm toast. This is a great tutorial I can tell but it needed playback slowed to listen. If anyone knows at what point she mentions making this into an action, please help by offering the location on the video to help an old timer out, thanks!

    At 6:18 you say "Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+E", but in my case this has no effect. Also, I don't have those contrast symbols next to "Overal Brightness" through to "Colour Look" layers, in my case there is a flipped "Enter" symbol. Could anybody help, please?
    Could it be that this tutorial is version dependent and you missed mentioning that?

    You are a phenomenal instructor who is obviously very highly skilled! I haven’t seen anyone operate a mouse as fast as you since “Scotty” in a Star Trek movie showed how to make “Translucent Aluminum” on an early Mac - circa like 1980! Unfortunately us non-genius humans can’t follow that fast. Please slow it down about 50% moving forward. Please know that I do appreciate you very much - thanks!

      @@Jprvisuals Well, I agree with him. She, as a tutor, should explain everything gradually and without haste, there is no need to rush. Otherwise, it becomes difficult to listen to her and follow her actions. It's annoying.

    • @bookermusic
      @bookermusic Před 2 lety +1

      Only just came across the video and I agree. The best tutorial videos are when the presenter takes their time and doesn't skip over parts. Her delivery is much too fast. Yes, we can pause and move on when ready, but that is not ideal when learning.
