#Photoshop #sketch - Jak na to + styl
Thank you Colin, taking the pencil drawing to a new level. Learning new things all the time
This tutorial is so much fun! Thank you Colin. I appreciate what you shared here very much.
What an interesting way of creating a sketch, Colin! And what an even better idea to blend it with the real photo. I've seen some of your videos before and today I hit the subscribe button with no doubt in mind that you're a great teacher. Thank you for taking the time to teach us for free! :)
I love the way he explains what he is doing. So easy to understand. Thank you.
Looks relatively simple to do and the finish product is very beautiful-thank you so much.
I use an older version of Photoshop so this is useful to me. Alot better than some vids that just cater for the latest versions of Photoshop. Thank you.
Great Tutorial. I've taken a workshop on hand painting B&W photo's using Marshall's Photo Oil Paints and love creating a two tone effect where part of the photo is in color and the other part is in black and white. Now you have shown me some new skills using Photoshop so I'm definitely going to try your method. Thanks for taking the time to teach your followers something new.
Once again you provided a great tutorial. I look forward to trying this one out! Thank you Colin!
Inverting the B&W layer is a cool trick I hadn't thought of before - thanks a lot!
Great video, Colin. Thanks for showing how to get this pencil/engraved effect. Did not know how to do that. Am going to try combining this with some tiny bits of watercolor effect too. Love your channel. Your teaching is very clear and friendly. Thank you!
Dear Smith Colin
Just wonderful to learn and get to know new techniques.
thank you
Love it. It has given me lots of ideas on things to do with my photos. I also love your tone of voice and that you take your time to explain every details.
Amazing and simple as usual Colin, you never disappoint us. Always clear in communication. I want to use it in one of my composite. Thanks a ton.
Awesome tutorial! Thank you Colin!
Thanks Colin, this was exactly the tutorial I was looking for, to create the effect I need.
Colin, yes, will definitely give this a try. Very nice effect.
Colin, a very new and neat way to to do this and I happy to report that this works like a champ in Photoshop Elements. Thanks for posting. Cheers
I love every one of your tutorials! One thing about them is that you can actually read the Photoshop screen where other tutorials have the fonts too small. Thanks Colin
Love this Colin. Thank you!
I was excited when I got the alert that you were doing this video, I took a photo about 3 or 4 years ago, similar to this one, & I am itching to try this with my photo. Thanks Colin, I love your tutorials. You are a fantastic teacher, make it look so easy to do & you go slow enough with great explanations.
Thanks
I love it! What a cool effect! I need to try this with some of my photos.
Very cool Colin. Thanks I'll have to watch this video again. Thanks!
nice easy to follow tut' I like the way the fading opacity can control how much is on show, thank you
I love this and did learn something new. You make it look so easy.
Fantastic. Your step by step makes it so easy
This was a great tutorial. Can't wait to give it a go. Thanks Colin :)
Hello again and thank you for another great tutorial. This one was actually rather fun! I have seen your method for creating a pencil sketch before (you have more than one tutorial on the subject, in fact) but to see it taken to another level of creativity was very nice. Much appreciation for sharing this with us.
Great technique Colin. Yes, I am inspired by your creative Ps skills. This is something I will use.
Really enjoyed that! Thanks for your tutorials
Love the effect, thanks for sharing.
Love it! I think I need to create a series with this!
Another brilliant tutorial. Many thanks.
Awesome, been trying this other ways but not working for me but this method will certainly make it, thanks Colin.
Thank you Colin, and I smashed the like button into dust! I stopped the video to try it along with you, it turned out nice!
Another great tutorial Colin 👍
That was nice, Colin.
Thanks, Colin. Good tutorial. I've used techniques like this for years, and one of my best outcomes was when I collaborated on a book project with a watercolorist. I made the photographs and then the artist used them as the basis for watercolor paintings. I then scanned the paintings and composited the original images with the paintings in PS. The effects were hauntingly beautiful.
Sounds very nice
Another great leaning tutorial. Thanks.
What a cool effect, definitely will have a go 😁😁😁
This is fabulous, so quick and easy! Even better than PTC
Wonderful tutorial. Thank you!

Thanks for this tutorial😊
Thank you. Very nicely presented.
Thank you enjoyed it. Not seen it before.
Awesome!
Very good and useful. Thank you for your tutorials and for being such a good teacher. Just wanted to understand why does it work. The desaturation+inversion+blurring+color dodge thing. I have tried to look for the algorithms, but it goes into depths that I don't really want to even begin learning. Do you have a more practical explanation?
Great idea!
Great idea
Thank you i like the tuto now i will try to do something nice too. Have a good day
Loved it
Nice work.. Thank you 🙏

Excellent, thanks for sharing. Question though, why not just use one of the sketch filters. Thanks in advance. Shane
different result
Thank you for the tutorial, I am going to try it now, will let you know. Do you have any video covering the following please? 1. Both a pure black (0) and pure white (255) point, set using either a Levels of Curves Adjustment, as an Adjustment Layer
2. A colour correction layer used as a global correction.
3. A dodging and burning layer (named) with the Blending Mode set to Soft Light for local correction.
4. Highlight adjustments using a Curve Layer with Blending Mode set to Multiply
5. An Unsharp Mask, applied to increase edge contrast
6. Adjustment Layer masking to locally apply tone or colour adjustments
7. A redistribution of light in the image using the Reverse Overlay Blended Layer technique
8. Local sharpening using an Unsharp mask or High Pass filter.

Can you leave make one showing stop by step to photoshop for paint by numbers. How to make the lines, numbers and colors
How i can convert my sketch pic to original ? really appricate if you will guide me or make for me ...I will pay.
helpful... remember Kai's tools? I wish someone, maybe you could do tutorials on using calculations?
KPT, so long ago!
I don't have Gaussian blur (Phshop 2021), can't follow
I don't understand why you create the sketch effect and then basically undo that effect on the engine.
Hi, you mention at 4:19 adding and subtracting areas. when I try to add it erases everything I had added before and just leaves the new selection. at 445 you say if it's not perfect don't worry we can always fix this later... how you never say that. my selection wasn't perfect and I have no idea how to fix it.
I do like that you GO SLOW unlike some others who seem to be speed talking and that you are wonderful in most explanations except the 4:45 how to fix...
Hold SHIFT key down to add to selections you've already made - or - look in the upper left corner of the workspace, you will see 4 icon-like buttons to manage selections (hover over each to get a tool-tip as to their behaviors).
@@rgarlinyc aha!! thank you.. I was in the NEW not add to selection.. no one ever mentioned that beforew...
First
Edit : Pls pin me
Congrats!, but no pin lol
hope less chit chat, go straight to point.
Thanks Colin, this was exactly the tutorial I was looking for, to create the effect I need.
Thank you!
