That was a horrible decision and they got bailed out by the stupid fumble (which if we’re being honest, it looked like he was down prior to the ball coming loose. I have no idea how that was reversed)
They were down 3 with 8 minutes in the game, the Chiefs were driving down the field at will. Context matters, it was a bad outcome. What if the Chiefs score a TD and now you're down 10 with 4 minutes to do?

And it was so badly done that even I was yelling at my screen before they ran it that they were faking it. Their formation looked weird, the body language was bad, I could tell, and I haven't played football since 4th grade. Chiefs D saw it too and snuffed it out quickly.

Rob is right but I feel like we’ve made Buffalo a bit of a victim of their own success. We forget how close the Bills were to a midseason collapse. They were 6-6 with a 13% chance to even make the Playoffs, they fired their OC, had a scathing report on their coach including quotes of him using 9/11 analogies, drama with their star WR, and it looked like a dead season. And then they pulled it out of the gutter, got the 2 seed and lost in the Divisional Round despite playing well for most of the game. If you told people the Bills would end the season like that I think they’d be pretty impressed. Their window will be open as long as they have Allen.
And Mahomes will be there is KC ready to crush the Bills hearts just as long

Diggs had one of the biggest drops of the game as well. Though Allen played safe, he gave Diggs an opportunity when it mattered and he didn’t make the play.
Bring back the 5-11 bills. No expectations, no disappointments

"Force an overtime" with the FG, that was missed. Obviously this guy does not remember that Mahomes would have gotten the ball back with 1:43 on the clock and two timeouts. Mahomes would have easily driven the Chiefs into FG range and Buetker would have made the FG. The Buffalo missed FG did not happen with time about to expire.

Lots of people think Chiefs aren’t as good, because they’re not scoring like they used to, but they’re much better defensively than they’ve been in the past which has made up for the drop in offense. One of the biggest reasons for their drop in offense is the passes they’ve dropped. They lost at least 2 games because of drops.

Allen is my favorite player by far, but I would be lying if I didn’t have the same thought. As a TEAM, THIS TEAM will never be the same after those 13 seconds. If they were going to get over the hump they would have done it by now. People say Payton getting his rings late in his career, but I wonder if Allen will end up like Rivers…a likely HOF career that never saw a superbowl.

To be somewhat fair to Buffalo, the offense was good, just not perfect, and their defense was gutted by injuries. They couldn't stop Kansas City at all. Unfortunately, they needed to be perfect and a few big drops, a bad decision, and a missed kick sank them.
How many of you people remember when Rob Parker asked the (then) Detroit Lions head coach that if he wished his daughter married a better defensive coordinator?
The defensive coordinator at the time was married to the head coaches daughter, and the defense just blew a lead a gave up a game..
That's why Rob Parker is no longer on TV, because he was asking questions like that..

That is a great question
Three big reasons the Bills fell short in the Divisional against the Chiefs, in order:
1) The Bills defensive line, which was really good throughout the regular season, again failed to show up in the biggest game of the year to date (just like against Cincinnati a year ago) with only 2 QB hits and 0 sacks -- can't be a no show against good QBs -- this is the weightiest reason Buffalo did not win;
2) Terrel Bernard (MLB) was out, and out of all the defensive injuries the Bills had managed to overcome over the season (Milano, White, Jones, Rapp, etc.), Bernard's injury they could not overcome -- he was having way too good of a season (143 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 3 INTs, 5 Pass defensed, 10 Tackles for loss -- the dude was putting up numbers similar to Fred Warner and Roquan Smith this season -- look it up). Bernard plays quick and with a lot of tenacity, and not having him to answer Kelce and Pacheco and call defensive checks was too much of a loss for the Bills defense;
3) The third weightiest reason the Bills lost was because the skill players did not execute to the level of their QB: James Cook again dropped a pass that would've been a TD -- 4-5 yds out from the endzone on a slant with a clear path to the endzone had he caught it. Killer! Sherfield almost wrapped up a big play but couldn't get it done. Then the star no. 1 Diggs dropped a 63 yard beauty which, if he caught it, his chances of breaking that one tackle and going all the way were not too bad at all. That would have been a huge play and a momentum shifter, and if he did get that TD, it would have been Bills up 31-27 in the 4th, or at least the offense would have flipped the field and had another redzone opportunity (they were 3-4 on the night in the redzone) to get into the endzone.
These three main reasons are why Buffalo lost. Again, the TEAM in really important places FAILED and KC made JUST ENOUGH plays to win.
Super Bowl XXV was Parcells’ second ring. The first was XXI against the Broncos where Phil Simms went 22/25
1990 season was Parcells second SB win...He also won in 86 with the NYG.

If the Bills make no changes in the off season (other than the addition of new players from the NFL Draft), isn’t that kind of like the definition of insanity? Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result each time? I’m not saying the Bills need a complete personnel overhaul. I just think that it’s time for a Head Coaching change. McDermott obviously is a good Head Coach, and he’d likely land a HC position almost immediately, given his success at getting the Bills to the playoffs consistently during his tenure in Buffalo. Then, the Bills’ Front Office can see if they could land a Bill Belichick, Jim Harbaugh, or Pete Carroll, all three of them with a pedigree of success, not just in the regular season, but in the postseason as well. I think Bills’ fans would “roll out the red carpet” for Belichick, Harbaugh, or Carroll because the Bills’ fan base is fed up with not being able to “get over this hump” and I think Bills’ fans are at the point where they ARE starting to feel like McDermott bares the most responsibility for the Bills’ playoff futility. I mean, the dude is becoming the Susan Lucci of NFL Head Coaches or the reincarnation of Marty Schottenheimer and at this stage of the game, is now looked upon negatively for having a superstar QB and offensive weapons galore, and yet, even with that level of talent, he is not able to even lead his talented Bills’ team to one measly SB appearance.

For all the drops and missed field goal they want to focus on, the Bills still had a lot of luck. 4 fumbles, yet none of them were turned over. Their last drive McDuffie or Sneed could've had a chance for a pick. Then the next play Allen fumbles, but they recover it back. The only turnover was on the Bills goal line by Hardman. A TD there ends the game. Sure, the field goal would've tied it. But they'd only forced KC to punt once the entire game. There is no guarantee it goes to OT.
Allen, in fairness has a very mediocre supporting cast outside of Diggs who disappeared over the last 10 games. The guy needs help

No, the biggest observation is Buffalo and the rest of the football world thought Patty and the gang couldnt come out and play a clean game while capitalizing on offense. Buffalo cant deal with the chiefs in that mode. Regular season issues made people cast doubt.

Plus Scott was kicking on real grass which is much harder to kick on.
