    This is a great video and informative. How much does it cost for them to come to your house to draw blood? Using two apps seems like a lot. Was it easy to remember to input all that information and scan stuff ?

    Does Levels export to HealthKit? I know Dexcom does natively while the Libre does not. Since Levels works with both, I’m wondering if it provides a bridge for the Libre data in particular.

    • @ShervinShares
      @ShervinShares  Před rokem +1

      Sadly Levels does not natively do it! Only NutriSense does. Video comparing all of them below:

    A CGM doesn't give you the full picture of what your body does when you are eating. It only measures glucose, not insulin. It is the equivalent of saying a weight scale can accurately measure body fat.
    Youre assumptions of why your blood glucose was spiking was wrong also.
    Many things have an impact of blood glucose. Things you didnt account for as well like seasonality, fat-carb ratios of your meals.
    Also the sensors are not perfect, they have a delay of 15-20 mintues. There are compression lows (when you apply pressure to the sensor the reading will be off) happens a lot when sleeping.
    Fats will spike blood glucose levels much more than sugar will. Check into Robby Barbaro and his podcasts to get a better understanding on glucose and diet. You just cant see the effect on a cgm because your body releases insulin to hide it. Fat reduces your insulin sensitivity which is far more dangerous than a sugar spike. If you eat high fat and medium carbs those meals might look less harmful on a cgm, but in reality those meals are much more likely to induce type 2 diabetes.
    Freestyle libre sensors have their data locked in the device, so sharing that data into apple health is not the responsiblity of Levels, but rather Abbott.

      @dyj321 Před 10 měsíci

      Interesting. As a type 1 diabetic I don't see glucose spikes with high fat foods. I even did keto for a while and used significantly less insulin than before and now that I'm not on keto 🤷🏽‍♂️

  • @flolou8496

  • @danh9922
    @danh9922 Před rokem

    That’s great but if you were using a triglycerides you would see a difference due to the increase fat consumption affecting your blood and liver.

    what happened to intuitive eating and trial and error why do you need to buy more and more things to figure out what you probably could have told yourself if you eat something and feel shitty afterward it's probably the food you just ate
