Budgie with an infection on his face and feet

Recently at Vet's Klinic we had a budgie in for a check up. The owners were worried that he had an infection on his face and feet. Head Vet Adrian Caunter took the sample and had a look under the microscope, watch the video to see what happened.

My canary had this and I used mineral oil on the legs and feet suffocates them ..& Vetafarm Scat ...one drop on his back ...mites are gone

Don't even give that bird back to the owner look at the feet those on-trend toenails will get snagged on stuff it's so easy to clip those with a fingernail clipper come on that bird don't bite that hard that's neglect

Hi doc
My budgie was harassed by another female budgie.She got several wounds which is drying out but the wound on the left side of beak has lead to swelling near her left side beak and eyeball
She’s very dehydrated .we went to a vet she has administered i.v fluid subcutaneously.and have given MELOXICAM ilium and Uvetril oral
We have administered the medication since yesterday .my budgie is eating food not very fast though . But she’s in pain and showing a bit breathing difficulty
Doc will she be fine?

hi I used the spot on treatment and their feathers are really fluffed up and damp and I'm worried because some hours have gone by and they are still like that, does it take some time for them to fix up their feathers? and also my budgies aren't tame so that's why its difficult for me to handle them I don't want to stress them. please help

@@WeeChunIsRandom That OneToller is correct-bad owners.Mites are easily treated.For the bird to be in that sad condition,that takes more than just a few days.That is weeks,if not months of neglect.

@@danaalnajami1378 i contacted a vet and he is healed now. i just put little drops the vet gave me on his cere and legs every week. u should see a vet
