Learn how to make an amazing Wordpress website using the free Sydney Theme, free plugins and free stock images! I will walk you through all the steps in order to create an amazing website from scratch using Wordpress, the Sydney Theme and the Elementor editor.

I did a lot of research to find the best Wordpress theme and editor. I combined those and with free stock images you can create amazing websites using this Sydney Theme Tutorial! And if you don't want to spend money on webhosting I will show you in this tutorial how to create a website on your local computer!

Well done, Ferdy! Nice tutorial! I’ve a few remarks:
1. You don’t need to make an image round outside Elementor. You can apply 50% border radius to all sides in Elementor > image widget > style. This is much faster and more flexible.
2. Change the php-code in a theme is dangerous, in particular to new wp-users. With the next update of the theme, the changes are gone and the designer does not know why.
3. The sydney theme is nice, but in the free version obviously you have to still insert custom php and css. Also the theme shows compatibility to wp 4.7, not 4.8, which is bad 2 weeks after release of 4.8

Hi Ferdy, I've been using your video tutorials for some time now. I've created several sites over the last couple of years, and usually keep them simple. I love the Sydney theme, although I've been tempted to use a few others... thanks for the tutorials, They are GREAT!

Great guide but not "free", as stated in the title - hosting is $103 for a year, domain is $15 for a 1 year. A truly free option is to get your domain name through Wordpress with ".wordpress.com" after it.
It is free when you host it using serverpress.

Seriously, are you going to discount an incredible effort by Ferdy because you might have to pay $100 to get a professional website up and running? Maybe you're planning on doing something that just isn't worth very much.
I understand that money is tight. I'm going through some very difficult times, but hosting a website for free just isn't going to happen. It has to be LIVE for it do you any good. Believe me, I have to watch every.single.penny these days. But this was an excellent tutorial. And Ferdy took care to make sure it was as free as it was going to get. If you need something absolutely free. WordPress.com, Tumblr, Blogger are options, but they will only take you so far.

I've been using the Sydney theme for a very very long time. Yet, I still watched your video, which I found very interesting.
The Sydney theme ss one of my favourites. It's very flexible, user-friendly, and very professional-looking at the same time.
As to your tutorial, I would have created a child theme first and used that as the theme for the website. Child themes save you problems in the long run as some modifications may disappear when the theme is updated by the publisher. Although child themes can be created manually, I use a plug-in for that.

Dear Ferdy, you did a really great job. I am just an hobbyst. I have to say that now I could try to create a "good enough" Web site combining Sydney theme and Elementor.
You should also be wary of connection problems when designing your WordPress website. I don't know whether or not this is due to free web hosting limitations set by any web hosting website, but be wary of this, and try not to break anything.
Other than that, great tutorial. I followed each step and managed to get wonderful results.
