About those Astra sticky headers, is it possible to make the primary header and the sticky header display different widgets (or otherwise be laid out with significantly different content)? I know I can display a different logo, I can shrink the logo, and I can tweak the background, but I'm looking to make bigger changes.

One tip regarding logos: PowerPoint has a function to remove the background from images. In case someone has PowerPoint but not Photoshop.

This is an awesome video. Just found it whilst trying to learn Astra and Elementor. I signed up to BlueHost in September last year as it was recommended to me by someone else at the time. I have not yet published my website as I 'm still learning how to design it. Should I be looking to change hosts? I think I purchased their 3 year hosting package.
You can stick with them, but if you start noticing performance issues or downtime, then look elsewhere.

Although, I am using Astra Sites with Elementor and I am having some kind of problem. When I click in the "UPDATE" button to save the changes that i've made in a page, the new layout displays wrong in the real site. There's anything that I can do to fix that?

I am currently using GeneratePress with Elementor and in the light of your videos I'm thinking of trying the Astra theme. Apart from Astra free sites, Astra themes, Hooks, Astra Pro are there other Astra plugins you would suggest? I looking forward to watching your future training videos on Astra.
There is also in the Astra agency version, and Astra Pro sites plug-in. So you would not just have the free sites but you would also have Pro sites that leverage all of the features found in the Astra Pro package. Beautiful sites!

That is because in this video tutorial I was not using Elementor Pro. If I was I would use that instead of course since it is pretty amazing.
thanks Adam! I find the astra header customizer to be a bit cumbersome, how would you go about adding text such as a phone number or social icons to the menu bar if it didnt have it already?
Most of that would be in the widget area that you can utilize in the header. I think it's pretty genius. However I will tell you that there is a in add-on coming to the Pro version that will give you a top bar above the header for social icons phone numbers or anything you want.

Thanks for your teachings. I have been using GeneratePress theme for a couple months now. I don't like it and want to change themes. I also plan on switching to inmotion hosting. Our website is for displaying my art and trying to make a buck, I also want to start my own small web design business. What steps should I take to start over. I am trying to build a website and have spent HOURS trying to decide what theme and page builder to use. I think from seeing your videos I have decided to use Generate Press with Elementor page builder. I am building a blogging site about Quilting with intent to change it to a WOO Commerce site at some point. Another quick question regarding hosting providers. You mention/recommend 3, most likely as their is some referral compensation, and fair enough; WordPress themselves on their site recommend 3 hosting providers (Bluehost, DreamPress & Pressable). Have you any experience with them, and why do think the ones you recommend could be better? Thanks very much.
Thanks for the awesome video! I do have a question, however. When is it generally better to use Elementor, and when is it better to use Astra Pro's controls? They seem to have some overlap.

Yes there are always going to be a bit of overlap. I would say try to use your themes controls as much as possible because it's easier to make changes in the future and have them apply to all of the content. A perfect example is with your font. If you're specifying specific fonts in Elementor and then change your mind you. have to go back and change them in every location where if you depend on your theme you only change in the customizer.

Hi Adam - first, thank you for all of your time and knowledge, absolutely invaluable 😁 I notice in a lot of your tutorials re Astra you use the Elementor page builder. I also saw a post somewhere in the interwebs where you mentioned Thrive Architect also works great with Astra. Is that correct and do you have any resources using these 2 plugins? I'd like to use Thrive from a marketing perspective so would like to have no conflicts with their suite of plugins + a theme with a lot of ready made website templates and customisation abilities. Am I dreaming? I also wonder if there are any similar solutions on the theme side which are on par or pretty close to Astra? Cheers!
What would be better over all using elegant themes lifetime membership for $249 or astra lifetime bonus features along with using elemental to make WordPress sites? I am totally new to Wordpress and been looking at hosting and like the three you mentioned plus looking at is Namehero for hosting. If I design a website using a free theme with a page builder and various plugins, how would I go about packaging it all together into a zip file so I could pass it onto others to use in WordPress?
I've looked for videos on how to do this but with no joy. Again thanks for the great work you do 👍
The best way to do that is to watch my video on how to move a website. Essentially you are going to use a free plug-in to create a complete backup. Then you can distribute this backup file. This is how I used to distribute these how to make a website templates. But if you watch that video, you'll see how easy it is to do.

Hi Adam, thanks for this tutorial. Astra changed left and right, so at 57:50 the required plugins are now Beaver Builder Plugin (Lite Version), Contact Form 7, SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle and Ultimate Addons for Beaver Builder - Lite. Thought you might want to know.
I also deduct Beaver Builder and Elementor are by the same company Astra (or has E been renamed?).
No that's not how it works. Now you have a choice of Elementor or Beaver Builder. So when you are looking at a list of the available websites, there is an option to choose Elementor. It defaults to Beaver Builder.
I also had the same problem at first and I ended up developing the website using Beaver which wasn't so good for me since im used to Elementor. But now after reading your reply I have noticed the Elementor option. Thanks a lot Adam now I can rebuild my website.
Alright, Astra IS a theme and Beaver Builder and Elementor ARE both website builders and in this tutorials, Elementor's used. Just uncertain which company it is. To the Google!
I really enjoyed this video and I plan on making some serious adjustments to my website. The one thing I am struggling with is making my website responsive. I adjust something in mobile mode and it adjusts across the board. I didn't think it was supposed to do that. Am I overlooking a setting?

No you would still need the SMTP plug-in. There may be a connector available for CF seven and Mautic.

Yes you can but I don't recommend that Webhost. If you're having trouble with your SSL certificate I would reach out to their support.

Does it make sense to use Elementor pro with a paid theme from Astra, GP or even from Pojo as Elementor has all functionalities. Why double pay for features? I don't mind paying but this is a question that remains unaddressed as the features that come with paid themes are duplicated from Elementor pro, or at least that is what I have summed up from your videos. Thx in advance.
Some things are better set in a theme, fonts, colors. Also at the moment you can't build your entire site, yet, with Elementor. But that is coming soon for sure. But if you want to do more dynamic things with your website, something like Astra Pro will enable that.
Great tutorial! Quick question, what would be the best way to create a website geared for affiliate marketing? For example, I would like to use a website in order to join the Amazon Associates Affiliate Program. Any help would be appreciated because I am certainly a beginner. Thank you!
I would recommend using the same theme. In a week they are releasing WooCommerce integration and you can use Amazon affiliate links and WooCommerce products.

Yes I think it's a fantastic idea to connect your website to Cloudflare no matter what. And the processes is easier when you have the free SSL certificate enabled.

HI; I love your elementor pro and astra pro tutorials. I have both but you said they were compatible with each other; but I cannot get elementor to recognize Astra Pro or visa versa. I then tried a basic WordPress theme and it worked perfectly. Am I mistaken that elementor pro and Astra pro will work together. If not then I will have to request a refund and then try generate press.

I made a site using this tutorial and the result was great! But I have two questions
FIRST: if there is an update on the astra theme, am I going to loose all the personalization I made to the theme?
if so, is it possible to make a child theme for the Astra themes?
Please let me know because I am having an update messege and I don't know if I can do it!!!
SECOND: Affter finishing customizing the Astra theme can I unistall Elementor or I will have to keep it for ever?
