- Do you want to know how to boost your metabolism for fat loss?
Your Thyroid is largely responsible for your Metabolic rate, so all of these tips will help thyroid function and your metabolism
Eat more protein - Increased protein promotes optimal thyroid signaling and your thyroid is largely responsible for your Metabolic rate. You're very likely not eating enough of this. A 5’4” should have about 120g/protein per day and a 5’9” male should have about 155g/day. Most people are getting about half that.
Alcohol directly and indirectly suppresses thyroid function so it would be wise to stop drinking
Eat more foods with the amino acid tyrosine in them, like beef and raw dairy
Also, eat more glycine-containing foods like bone grass-fed beef bone broth or gelatin.
Both of those amino acids are very important for optimal thyroid function
Stop eating polyunsaturated fatty acids. These will down-regulate thyroid function, slow your metabolism, and make you fat. So cut the ultra-processed foods and commercial salad dressings
And give me a follow if you want some helpful fat loss tips.

I really appreciate your straightforward information. Your delivery is very professional 👏
But the information is dogshit
And lies
@kristofcallebaut9281 what's he lying about ???
@@michaelmoore2802 See? He sounds confident and talks fast so you believe what he's saying. To trust someone on the internet, the person must provide research for the claims he makes, even more if he has no credentials. There's probably no research and that's why he doesn't mention it. You're safer if you disregard people like this entirely. Here's what doesn't seem to be right:
Eat more protein for increased thyroid function. The US eats on average double the RDI of protein, and this guy is telling you to eat another 50% more than that. He's probably talking about the thermogenic effect of protein in which you burn more calories to digest protein than carbs and fat, but still, why put a protein target for that?
Polyunsaturated fats slow metabolic rate. Absolute 💩
Foods high in tyrosine and glicine are good for thyroid function. Even if there was evidence those 2 were benefitial, that still wouldn't prove meat and milk are good foods for the intended purpose.
The whole concept that metabolic rate is important for weight loss. I don't think this is even a thing that matters in terms of practical application.
@dekyor9547 interesting...thanks for the info..
One thing I noticed after years of compling medical summaries as a nurse paralegal is that without exception, people (usually perimenopausal women) who have been diagnosed with thyroid issues also were VERY deficient in Vit B-12 and Vit D.
Now everyone is a nutritionist
@8th account Wrong. You still need a Degree to own the title.
@8thaccount321nah registered nutritionist and dietitian need degree for protected
If you’re in better shape than 99% of the population you’re probably qualified to be a nutritionist 😂
The dude doesn't know what he's talking about and doesn't have credentials. I guess people following him just need any model to follow and give them hope
@@dekyor9547 He's 100% right. Nutrition is not that complicated.
Animals have it figured out, why don't we?
Not all polyunsaturated fats are bad for you 😊 There are polyunsaturated fatty acids that are essential for your cell function (omega-3-fatty acids) and they help regulate triglycerides and cholesterol in your blood stream, which lowers the risk for cardiovascular disease 😉
Glad that somebody said this. I’d hate to see people’s homocysteine levels if they quit eating omega 3’s based on this man’s recommendations. 😂😂
Maybe he was referring to saturated fats
@@jerikhowijaya8844nope
@@jerikhowijaya8844he wasn’t he literally said polyunsaturated fats lol
Stop spreading misinformation so much. A 75kg 5'9 male needs around 60-80g of protein for normal thyroid function, not 150g. While that amount of protein would be great for you, and necessary if you are weight lifting, it only increases thyroid function by a small margin. You've deliberately used a misleading fact to make the average person believe that 150g of protein is necessary for normal thyroid function, when that isn't the case unless you're working out (which they should be regardless tbf) in which case it will increase the level of muscle you gain and speed up muscle recovery time.
Tbh he didn't say you need 150 for a normal thyroid function. He was specifically talking about increasing the function
Eat more protein says the little boy. Even though it may tax your kidney's. HE doesn't know that he's a kid
@@johnreidy2804
Sugar, fructose and processed foods and drinks tax your kidneys.
@@JREinaNutshell331 He didn't cite sht tho. Why people follow people like this and make him pop on my feed
@@dekyor9547 exactly, not one source to back up anything he ssid
as a 5'4 female, i confirm i have abs, im healthy and im just fine with 50-60 ish grams of protein a day. Can a 5'9 male confirm that you dont need that much protein?💀
145 for me buts only because I work out. Either way we lose muscle over time , everyone is different and some people can have less protein some need more carbs ect
Cant wait to see you take this advice! I’m so proud to see you start to try it! ❤
Lol These measurements are nuts. An average height female needs 100g of protein while an average man needs 155. Ok but at what weight? Also that's way too much protein for a skinny person no matter the gender or height.
more protein will never hurt. No one here is some IFBB pro trying to eat 400g+ of protein a day
@@MagicMan3007but often people will spend money on protein they could have saved otherwise
This guy is the biggest Advocator of grass fed beef 🥩 in the country🙄
Iodine is also very important for thyroid function. Milk and eggs are a good source of iodine. I also take a sea kelp extract supplement occasionally.
0.75g of protein per pound of body weight is perfectly optimal and much more realistic, from a financial and time-cost perspective, for the average gym goer. Non-gym goers more like 0.5g.
Yeah buddy, 5’8 female here, always north of 200g protein from meat a day. It does good things 😁
Just getting it myself!
Yes you’re getting plenty of meat. That I know that I can tell you
My dietitian gave me a diet plan, but there isn't much protein in it sadly
That's a lot I'm 6 foot male and eat 190g of protein from meat and eggs a day .
@@Blefizcan u share protine diet bcz I'm losing weight I do not eat eggs meat large quantities bcz my calories are 1000
the protein amount you recommend is for muscle growth not just for the average person for maintenance
IKR, the amount is way too much
And frankly, its a bit high for optimal natural muscle growth, especially if most of your protein is coming from high quality sources.
Thanks for the written information.
Guy got his qualifications from a Cinnamon Toast Crunch box
You don’t need qualifications to know ultra processed food and alcohol isn’t good for you. Cinnamon toast crunch is a great example. Oh but I guess I’m not a nutritionist so keep eating cereal and let me know how your health goes.
Very good information man. Raw milk is the best!
Exercise boosts metabolism more than these things he said. Building muscle and doing cardio regularly is my tip
Really good information
Thank you 💜🌷💜
How about carbohydrates, low carbs can down regulate thyroid function
Me too, I sticked to lesss than 150g of carbs per day n felt better, leaner and slept better.
Whose rich enough to have that much protein everyday, esp a whole fam 😂
Thank You 😊
Thanks for the advice Tim! I started follow your channel and your advice and I’ve lost a ton of weight and feel better then ever. Best part is having all the evidence of photos of this journey.
Very helpful
As an Indian I can survive with eat grass all my life but doesn't eat animal in my whole life🚩🙏
Brahmins are taking supplements of zinc, protein, vitamins, magnesium etc..... 😂cause they are not getting enough minerals and vitamins from vegetables..... 😂😂
Protein can be plant based too doesn’t have to be from an animal . Dal and soybean…. Are good source of protien
Hola ❤❤ saludos desde chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
Good stuff🎉😮
Tipptopp , still it’s a very very personal question as everybody works completely different
got this advice for boosting the metabolism, running and eating bean daily
Good sources of protein? (I’m a vegetarian so no meat 😅)
Like your manner of speaking!
Love your stuff dude
i have eaten every unhealthy food possible and I am thin I see this as a Win
I used to eat almost less than half the amount of protein in a day, now I eat at least 60 - 80 Percent
Any tips for vegans ?
Could you do the same video but for vegetarians?
alot of the same applies. You can supplement a full protein profile by using several sources. (I.e. beans, lentils, rice, oats, milk etc).
Hey, please give more tips for hypothyroidism
The average amount of protein we need per day is actually 50g
Imma starve in 5 minutes if my metabolism gets any worse/faster
I understood like half of that
You forgot iodine and selenium
Organ meats
@@vallye470 umm no it isn’t dangerous it all you have ZERO idea what you’re talking about. The right form of iodine saves lives and 75 percent of the world is deficient thanks to bromide and soil depletion. I suggest doing better research.
What research suggests someone who is 5”4 needs over 100g a protein per day. Health professional as suggest 0.8g per kg of body mass. And 1g per kg if you’re trying to gain muscle mass. Any more than that can have negative impacts on your body
ur footages r actually helpful. thanks
love your videos,very ingormative..
thank you
Ok thanks Thyroid problem here
I love being short. I dont need to take as much protein to metabolize. But when I do, I just get leaner or over metabolize :D
That one have high metabolism:💀
But I see widely that you can only get benefits from 30g of protein in a sitting, anything extra is surplus and causes weight gain
Idoine an essential for the entire endocrine system. Fluoride and Chloride (might be another cant remember off the top) inhibit good iodine absorption. Just about everyone is severely deficient
Ok. I am a dietitian and for a 5’4 woman 120g protein is way too much as is 155g for a 5’9 man. Unless they are athletes, I would say don’t listen to this man. This is double of what people need
Bro give me the Metabolisms
Can drinking those muscle milk protein drink help as well?
Please and thank you
Me watching this video while eating paav bhaji 🙂
Everyone is a doctor today.
true my wee wee was hurting so i went to your mums house and she made it feel alot better. Best doctor around!
From the comments i see i should eat lots of sugar and process foods to be healthier. Interesting indeed.
I wonder I doing a workout before every meal would help metabolism as your body is already in that "burning" mode as you eat?
i take iodine drops as well
Im glad theres a constant run on at abc stores n 7-11 whathaveu n all they get is alcohol n cigs
24/7
When you say gelatin is there a specific one you would recommend or does the gelatin packs at local stores work? Always assumed those where just like pudding to much sugar?
I swear I cheat on a diet just a little bit and I shoot up 5 pounds it’s insane
Ishtar reminds me of Jezebel
I don't like meat generally (I do eat protein, but rarely enough), what else can I do to boost my metabolism?
So my kens Italian dressing is bad :( … what is a better option
Gelatin ??? In coffee??? What kind
I thought it was all the fast food. Damn that thyroid
Great video, I'm 6'3, but the amount of protein i take a day is around 100 gms a day (including 2 protein shakes and 4 whole eggs), i am a non-vegetarian but can't take meat everyday.
I do weight training everyday except on Sundays.
What should I do to increase my protein consumption?
Thank you in advance ❤
Drink milk, yogurt, more eggs, beef jerky, or just eat an extra chicken breast a day
I don’t need to book my metabolism. I need to lower it I can’t gain a pound for the life of me if my metabolism goes any faster, I’m gonna die
Eat more carbs and slow down on cardio.
300g protein got it
In which book u found 5.4 female and 5.9 male protein requirement is above 100 gms ? 😂
This way both men and women gonna be in hospital soon 😅
For vegetarian pls
How about Salami?
What if you already have thyroid problems. I have hyperthyroidism
Dude bought his degree from walmart
Bro everyone says to eat polyunsaturated fats...why are are u stating just the opposite
PUFAs are literally the worst
Yeah I understand polyunsat fatty acids like Omega 3, and Omega 6 which are needed and that the body can’t produce on its own.
@@alexdoesntlikeyoutubethatmuch yeh so why is he against it..these are good fats...why eat less of this
Some are good, and some are bad. Seed oils are terrible for the body, but plain nuts are ok. It's the Omega 6 to 3 ratio is what he's getting at. Eating nuts, then have some Omega 3's as well. One should be 3:1 ratio, as the population usually consumes 30:1
@Rick Vis Not optimal fats on their own in the absence of 3's. But we essentially agree with the same that they need to be paired off.
What if your thyroid has been ablated…. ? No diet seems to work…
Vegetarians crying in the corner 😫😫😫
The only reason why i wanna bost my metabolism is soi can eat whatever i want like those koren asmr people, without worrying of gaining weight
What if you don't have a functioning thyroid and have to take medication since your thyroid no longer works?
Meat and veg
I’m a 5’9” female that weighs around 130. My waist is around 25” and I have a lot of excess fat and belly fat in my midsection. Anyone have any tips?
What should people do that suffer from gout
Stop closing your eyes so much you look tired.
Im vegan so that makes sense why i have a slow metabolism 😅
What if u have high cholesterol , was told not to eat red meats
what is wrong with polyunsaturated fats?
Bruh i am not even eating half of 60 grm protein lol
120g of protein dawg you trippin
Eating when your not hungry will make you gain weight not lose
It would be most helpful is you could show us what 155 grams of protein looks like. (3 serving of beef the size of my fist???)
Bro I do all of these and still nothing 😭
💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾
Ok i will eat beef but still cant digest bcz of low metabolism
2 grams per kg is the maximum amount of protein one should get. Too much protein is super bad for you.
What about 5'4 male?
I can’t have dairy, what are some other options? Anyone know?
not a single mention of iodine or sea weed during a video about thyroid?
Right as if we need to eat pounds of red meat, or meat in general for optimal, or improved thyroid function he totally ignored kelp, dulse, nori, wakame, seamoss, amrame, hijiki etc.
But can this still work if I have grave’s disease
In short case: Carnivore Diet
Do u have a good salad recipe? I love salads but can’t eat it plain with just olive oil and lemon juice.
Olive oil, Dijon mustard, Lemon, vinegar, salt , shake vigorously 😊
@@Kelstar77OH that sounds good 😃
